Is there a way so that timers don't all go off at the same time after enough chat lines have appeared. I find in small streamer, no matter what delay, or amount of chatlines appear, sometimes they just all go off at one time. An option for "Wait at least (#) of minutes between timers" or something would be helpful.

Hello, i have some issues, impossible to have the overlay appear in OBS.
First thing, it used to work just fine about 1year ago so i know how to do it.
My OBS and Streamelements are up to date for sure.
My link to the overlay is 100% correct, i'm using the brower source, my overlay has elements to display, but nothing is showing up.
I'm on windows 8.1 and have 3displays.
What am i missing? i double checked different tutorials and doing the same things as they do

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

hi there, so i'm trying to add some variations to a cheer alert on an overlay. i can successfully create a new variation, and the "Updated variation" popup appears in the bottom right corner.

however, when i go to click the blue "SAVE" button in the top right corner, the "Saving..." popup in the bottom right never goes away, and the variations are NOT saved no matter how long i wait.

as a test, i tried to edit some of the settings of an existing variation, and i was successfully able to click "SAVE" - the popup in the bottom right changed to "Saved!" and then went away.

i also tried to create a new Alert Box layer and added a variation on that layer - same problem.

i also tried to create a completely new overlay and added an Alert Box to that overlay, then tried to add a variation - same problem.

i also tried this across 3 browsers and 2 different computers - same problem.

Maybe there's a genius out there than can assist me.. trying to set up a Twitch chat command where you type !smooth and get back a response like this: $(user) is 50% mellow, 23% mild, and 27% soft. That's 100% Smooth' -- searched though this channel and found the Fyre API to help, but its still a little over my head. Hey! Im trying to get alerts to work but it wont use the image i am wanting to use. It either keeps the defult one or it says its working and then goes back. Have you adjusted the variants? You can check this by going into the overlay editor and then going to the alerbox layer > Alert (cheer, sub, tip, etc.) > Variation settings at the bottom.

You need to adjust these as well in order to have the alert display your custom images/sounds

Also do you have the browser source at the top of the source list? If it is below other sources, it may be blocked. The source system is a layered one and it prioritizes visibility for the layers on top

I used to work with Slobs but became wiser and have now switched to SE, since doing so though when people are resubbing instead of showing the months they have been subbed for (lets say 10 months), it returns all the time saying this person has now been subbed for 0 months. I cant seem to find anywhere within chatbot or anywhere else on my SE dashboard where it says anything like this. I contacted Twitch who just said it is a third party service/platform contact them. I've made a scrolling text (latest tips) using the text settings in the online overlay editor on the Streamelements website. The default is to show 25 items. I want to show much less than that -- the problem is that when I change to only show let's say 5 items, there is a REALLY big space after those 5 items and it takes a long time before it restarts the scrolled text (this is because the other 20 items are basically invisible, is my guess). What do I do to get rid of this space so that it looks better? Thanks.

Because it takes time to download the image. Everything you catch from internet will take more time to load than locally, specially images and videos. If you really need that image and you are hosting it online, you have two options:
1 - Download the image to your PC and load it locally
2 - Make the image smaller in byte size and reupload it so it will load faster. A 2.5MB image will take more time to load than a 500kb image and sometimes there is no visible difference in quality.

Unless it is something forced in your country, you don't need a business account to use Paypal on Streamelements (and neither on Streamlabs). Usually we convert our account in business account to hide some personal information when people make donations.

But as you have your sound working and chat can hear it, probably you need to go to Advanced audio properties (right-click on Audio Mixer > Advanced audio properties) and change the Audio monitoring option to "Monitor only (mute output)" or "Monitor and Output"... More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

Hey! So I recently began to use the Media Request feature of Stream Elements and created a Music Overlay that shows the music title, progress, and video playing in the corner of the stream. One thing I noticed is that when I press the "Show on stream" button, the volume of the music lowers significantly. Is there a way to fix that?
Also, is there a way to configure in what resolution the video is playing in order to preserve more bitrate for my stream?

The video loads in the browser source so it’s downstream traffic not upstream. Unless you have really terrible internet connection it shouldn’t cause problems. If you’re experiencing stuttering odds are you either need to disable or enable hardware acceleration for browser sources in obs settings > advanced

There are two things I am using for Music on my stream and audio overall. One is a plug that allows me to have "Application Audio Output Capture", allowing per application volume configuration. The other one is the VB-Audio Virtual Cable in order to prevent the music from appearing in Vods,

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Did you change the variations? To check this, goto your overlay editor, navigate to the Alertbox layer > Alerts (sub, tips, cheer, etc) > Variation settings at the bottom.

You'll need to adjust each individual variant as they are not changed by default

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

My bot seems to not be working with my chat. it seems to never respond. It's in the chat as I can see it in the viewer list, but it never replies to any commands given, or does the usual: "Streamer went live with [GAME TITLE]: "Title of stream"

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Dashboard > Activity Feed > Widget Data

Once you're there look for "Goal Data" and you can adjust from there

Unfortunately, you will need to update each alert and their variants manually. For the variants you can copy them off the base goal by duplicating it but if the variant is already created, you will need to manually update

hello!, I have a case for you, which is not an error, but if I see it as a security issue or I don't know where it could be catalogued.
In my Stream store, I have random codes (fortnite skins), today we banned a Twitch user for inappropriate behavior and this person went to the stream store and redeemed codes from my Stream store, EVEN BEING BANNED, there shouldn't be any restrictions on Streamelements if the information is taken from Twitch?

@brisk ledge if you have alternative methods outside of chat redemption (Extension or website) then they are able to still access that if they have enough points. Banning them from your channel is outside of what SE retrieves from Twitch.

The only information we gather is "do they have enough points to do this" or "do they have the correct permissions to do this".

So set their loyalty to 0 and ban them from loyalty.

Do note though: This is only after loyalty has been enabled and the user is seen in chat/userlist to which they ccan earn loyalty.

I just enabled watchtime command and loyalty in my streamelements settings, but the watchtime command still returns 0 seconds.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

If it is not working from your PC and it works on mobile using the same network, so definitely is something wrong with your PC.
Try to ping streamelements.com from terminal and check if there is any response. Probably your PC has some manual settings on network settings (maybe IP, maybe DNS...), check if you change it to obtain IP address automatically solves the problem
Another option would be trying to use a incognito window, but don't think that would work

Pinging doesn't work. Problem exists even in streaming software, so browser local solutions unfortunately are not enough. I figured that it's something with pc, but I executed flush dns, manually changed dns and restarting router gives me new ip since I have dynamic one(obtaining ip automatically is already turned on). Nothing helped

There're probably some hidden settings that I'm not aware of, but I don't know how to reset those

And yeah, incognito doesn't change anything either

Also I'm pretty sure I haven't changed any network settings myself and nobody uses my pc

I'm attempting to use an OBS CSS override to customize my chat appearance and am having an issue with one part.

The username and colon classes ignore any attempt to change text color. I've set the override to make them the same color, but it won't work. I inspected the chat widget and found that it's pulling the code for username colors from somewhere but I don't know where that is, to be able to override that. Can anyone help here? My only guess is that the widget pulls directly from the twitch api and so I can't change it.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I have two different alert boxes. Two scenes one unique alert box for each.

When I switch scenes the alert box ( that wasnt active, but now is) plays all recent alerts back. Like the alerts were clogged up.

In other words. Live scene plays alerts normally, switch to second scene (with different alert box) have to see all same alerts back to back to back....

I recently took on a Sponsored Campaign with Genshin Impact through SE and I was slated to start it tonight, however re reading the deliverables I have run into a significant discrepancy that I need help with! On my campaign overview it says that I need to complete 4 hours of sponsored content and get 10 signups, so I scheduled a 4 hour stream for tonight. However reading the Slides I was sent it says I need to do 2 separate streams (which is no issue for me) but with 2 hours of "regular content" before the 2 hours of Genshin Impact, which would make this 8 hours of Sponsored Content rather than the 4 originally given to me. I really do not have time to do an extra 4 hours of sponsored content. I would still like to do the original 4 hours of sponsored content that I signed up for, I can split it into 2 streams if that is preferable as well. Can I please get some help on this?

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Okay i deleted it and readded it, When i added it i ticked control audio through OBS which took the sound away when i unclick it it put the sound back Maybe that was the issue the whole time which is odd considering it has always been ticked :/

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hello, I decided to go with StreamElements today and have everything operational im having issues with song request, when i try to use it and import media it works, when i click to show on stream its says theres no media request widget detected and i cant find the widget either people can request songs and the bot replies its playing or next but when i try to add it to the overlay it just says no widget detected? • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

For a single instance you'll need a widget with total count and then this #widget-share message

You'll have to adjust the alignment for the text to match up but using the 2nd widget you can update the goal number via chat.

I've made a scrolling text (showing the latest tips/donos) using the text settings in the online overlay editor on the SE website. The default is to show 25 items. I want to show much less than that -- the problem is that when I change to only show let's say 5 items, there is a REALLY long space after those 5 items and it takes a long time before it restarts the scrolled text. What should I do to get rid of this space so that it looks good? Thanks.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again
