[FIXED] Hi guys, does anybody know how to get an external headset mic working on a macbook pro mid 2015 (11,4) running arch linux i3wm? been trying for a while cant figure it out. thanks. its a headset with an audio jack with a mic connected to the headset with another audio jack but the skinny kind.

I found a workaround using an old thinkpad dock that has an audio jack connected to my macbook which linux reads as a thinkpad dock and if i connect my headphones to it the external headset mic works
