well all you need to do is go to the weapon's equipment/attachment screen, select the right bar for ammo, hit the + or select one that is already on, and then on the bottom bar select the one you want

As someone who recently switched from console to PC and put in a large amount of time in this game on both…crossplay isn’t really great in practice, but is still nice to have. You can still kill PC players on console, though PC players will absolutely have an advantage in some settings. I still die to console players all the time on PC, so it’s not like PC players are invincible to consoles
