This system works perfectly when you're playing with friends. Not with teammates alone. But I've always been able to work with my team by myself in Battlefield. People vastly underestimate how many people will go with what's best for them. Especially with a single gadget slot.

But movement, animations, classes, were either removed or downgraded for the sake of being like Apex or CoD and that's really frustrating imo. BFV perfected animations and movement and that's all gone now. Really frustrating.

Animations are still in the game, shortened, or removed to make gameplay more enjoyable. Movement, while some good ones were removed like crouch run, most people won't notice while playing. Classes once again didn't make battlefield, battlefield, it just made people less likely to play a role because of the aesthetic or weapons that were used in it while unrestricted gear arguably will make people play roles they haven't played much of in previous games.

But I mean, I notice the downgraded movement. A lot of other people do too. It's extremely noticeable in comparison to BFV, because BFV got it so good. There was no genuine reason to scrap it.

I never said classes make battlefield, I said it's a major aspect of Battlefields indentity. They have always been there, they worked with the gameplay. There was no reason to remove them. No one has ever complained about classes being in these games, and if they did, they are in the minority.

I don’t think any of us have the data to know if people that complained about classes are in the minority or not. I don’t think it’s a lot but the specialist still fall into those class categories. Just because 1 gadget slot is fully unlocked and weapons aren’t locked doesn’t mean they don’t exist. It also seems they have changed what a recon/assault/engineer/support roles are.

It doesn’t mean they’re gone. They seem to have made engineers more defensive for example giving them gadgets to be more defensive in nature. Recon all have gadgets to deal with spotting, support all have some that well either heal/give ammo, assault seem to be movement based and flanking/pushing. They’re there still just different.
