It doesn't look like it. They haven't specifically said one way or another but we've seen in the gameplay reveals that the vehicles have the old BF4 system of an automatic recharging pool of ammo. We've seen players carrying over 150 rounds of ammo for various auto firing guns. And we've confirmed with the loadouts that everyone can carry medic/ammo crates.

Also unconfirmed but he leaks I've seen look like players still drop little ammo packs to grab

I used to think it was neat, but at the end of the day with them making BF games quicker than in the past I can see why it's not needed. After they fixed it for BFV it's fine again. I like the starting ammo and I like the fact that you have to resupply for max and don't start with max. But there's ammo everywhere in BFV, at every flag etc. It's fine nowdays.
