Load up Solo conquest on orbital or kaleidoscope and fly the draugr to the enemy spawn, kill the AI with the 20mm gun. Zoom in to better spot the enemies before engaging. You could aslo use the napalm once you unlock it.

It could be a hybrid one which has UEFI Mode support, or one that is UEFI-capable even if it does not look the part. For our purposes, I will assume that GPT partitioning is already in use on the drive, so that does not warrant acting on at all, and that it is using a UEFI firmware.

If you want to confirm this, go to Settings, Updates and Recovery, and launch Advanced Startup. If you can see an option to launch UEFI Firmware settings from the Advanced Startup section, then you definitely do have UEFI firmware, but for now, should you choose to check Advanced Startup, just Exit to Windows 10 and do not touch that yet.

some folks ran to the black screen issue and the system won't boot so what they did was remove GPU and the CMOS battery to reset the bios but LUCKILY they had a CPU with integrated GPU so they just plugged in the motherboard HDMI and fixed their issue and then plugged their GPU and everything was back to normal, me and lots of other folks don't have a CPU with integrated GPU so if i ran into that problem i might have to go out and get a new CPU with integrated GPU lol, so much hassle for a game

There is also the issue of early to mid-Windows 10 Era PCs either only having Legacy BIOS, or Legacy BIOS and UEFI support, but the drive may or may not also have GPT partitioning with that. The user in this example does not know what EA Anticheat is assuming is true to be able to throw that exception, other than that Secure Boot is available in the BIOS and some underlying hardware support must exist for it to present this error, so the user is still able to fill in blanks with its own assumptions, or can still try to account for it and fail to. Hard.

yes theres a performance penalty for the transformer model, turing cards are impacted most (rtx 20), ampere and ada are more negligible generally, more difficult to accelerate = penalty

the big advantage is the transformer model removes TAA ghosting in games when enabled (like 2042), visual clarity is just generally much better

Sometimes the Per-Server profile icon will not have rendering priority if the main profile icon was more recently updated than it.

It might be fixed as of Android System WebView version 139, but dunno.

nada, its a caching issue with discord specifically, the user profile always takes precedence because the server profile is (or can be) separate servers, it has to layer them differently, the way it detects if a user's on a server for that layer hierarchy just isnt done that well

I know. Mileage varies. They may have also tried doing additional, unneeded steps that contributed to bricking.

For now, I would advise uninstalling the game and other EA Anticheat-using games before trying to enable Secure Boot, that way EA Anticheat is unmounted. Only reinstall them after it is a success.

Like the gunplay. 2042's gunplay is overly-flat for my tastes and is too effective over longer distances, but it at least feels good.

And the weapon selection is... decent, now.

Not as large as I'd want, but there's enough variety to keep you interested.

The only good thing imo about 2042 gun selection is they are all usable, it's alot more about a players movement and accuracy and skill rather then the gun itself, I was never very good at close combat like hipfire range so I use to always use the mg4 with flir and bipod and that thing melted, no recoil, fair for easy targeting, 3 shot kill to body or 2 with a headshot. I feel like bf4 balanced out between the gun carrying the players, gives the less skilled and less able something to use that's still worth it

But every gun barring a few in 42 just feel the exact same

The initial announcements were on May 23rd and 26th, and the deployment happened on May 27th. Only 4 days of lead time at most.

Hello. The game believes you are able to enable it in the UEFI firmware settings, but that it is not.

Preface:
Uninstall Battlefield 2042 first.

Assume that UEFI firmware and GPT drive partitioning are supported already. Do not use MBR2GPT commands, as they are not needed and will brick your system if used. If you really want to be sure about it, open File Explorer, right-click on C:/, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, go to its Properties, and click on the Volumes tab. Load its information. If it reports the drive as using a GUID Partitioning Table (GPT), this confirms you already have the newer partitioning method, and should not use MBR2GPT commands.

If you have BitLocker drive encryption enabled, it must also be disabled correctly prior to following the steps below, or else its enablement may conflict. Only re-enable it after the Secure Boot setup process is done successfully.

If you have any of the Following NVIDIA GPUs: GTX TITAN X (Maxwell and Pascal), GTX TITAN XP, GTX 10 Series (1080, et cetera), GTX 900 Series, and GTX 745-750Ti GPUs, you may or will need to update their internal firmwares before proceeding, to be able to run them in Pure UEFI mode without the Compatibility Support Module (CSM) enabled. To do that, use the tool provided by NVIDIA in the following link.: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/

The Steps:
Go to Settings app, either System or Updates and Security, Recovery, Advanced Startup.

Once Restarted, be very careful. Follow instructions from Discord app on phone from this point onward.

When the Choose An Option screen appears, click Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options. You should see UEFI Firmware Settings here. Select it, and Restart.

If you do not see UEFI Firmware settings, you may have a Legacy BIOS that cannot use UEFI mode. In any case, be it that or if you are really not sure about this, Back out and Exit to the OS. Otherwise, Proceed.

Upon entering the UEFI settings, know that if you cannot use the mouse, you must use the Arrow Keys to move around, and the Enter Key as Select. Move over to the Security tab if it is there, or whatever lets you see the Secure Boot settings.

To help pass Windows Security's "Standard Hardware Security" support tier in Device Protection settings, Virtualization (SVM for GIGABYTE motherboards) must also be enabled. EA Anticheat may not check for it, but Windows Security may.

Extra Caution: For GIGABYTE motherboards, these may not have Platform Keys set which need to be BEFORE you set Pure UEFI mode and Secure Boot parameters. Assuming you need to, Provision Factory Defaults must be set to Enabled BEFORE doing any other changes, at least once, in order to reinstall the keys on next boot. I do not have personal experience with this, so exercise caution when doing this if it means avoiding being unable to complete the boot sequence later.

Now that those warnings and measures have been gone over, the Secure Boot enablement process can be done.

The following parameters must be set:

Security tab:

1. Firmware TPM: Enabled. If you have a Intel CPU, enable PTT, as it corresponds to Intel Platform Trust Technology. AMD's counterpart solution is fTPM.
2. UEFI Firmware Capsule Updates: Enabled.
3. Secure Boot Mode: Standard.

Boot tab:

1. Legacy Option ROMs: Disabled.
2. Boot List Option: UEFI.
3. Attempt Legacy Boot: Disabled.
4. Secure Boot: Enabled.

If your UEFI Firmware has an additional OS Type parameter, it must be set to Windows UEFI. Not Other OS. Also set CSM Support Mode to Disabled for now.

For the moment of truth, assuming all settings were set correctly, press the appropriate key to Save and Exit, or locate and select Exit Saving Changes. Confirm this by selecting Yes. If you are not sure about this, select Save Change(s) Without Exit, then do Exit Saving Changes, or if you do not want to commit to this at all, do Exit Discarding Changes before saving anything.

If done correctly, in theory, booting should happen as normal, and EA Anticheat should pass the check for Secure Boot once reinstalled and mounted.
