Bringing back discussion to 2042, do you guys think that the Javelin nerf was bit too much? You now need to have a line of sight even on Soflam'd targets even though in BF3 and BF4 this was not the case. I think it takes away Javelin's core aspects and pretty much makes it useless now.

well beforehand if they added a new grip, they would have to animate a separate set of keyframes to allow for the hand to move smoothly to that new position, the import that animation in game, set up triggers etc. But with this system they can just say 'Move to grip' and this new system will essentially interpolate the keyframes to get to that grip. Saving some time while not sacrificing the quality
