can someone explain this to me. why when i transfer multiple smaller files, the R/W speed is much lower compared to one large file?
im assuming there is some form of initiation before the file can transfer. and if it has to do that for every file the speed reduces, which makes sense, but i wouldnt have thought it cuts it to a fraction of the normal speed

@supple bane Not sure whether you're speaking locally or across a network interface, but in either case it had to do with the overhead of the process, checksum verification, compression, and latency. For a single large file, there is less that must be done to validate the integrity of the file in transport, but with smaller files, that has to be done for each file which adds to the queue time.

my gpu memory should clock at 7000mhz, and i had it overclocked to 7200mhz, but i just noticed that im getting 7000mhz on memory but thats with the overclock enabled
with the overclock off im sitting att 6800mhz

so yes. its worth it
