Still too expensive for a 1060 though. A 6GB model is like 230eur here (so 1000-1100zl at most)
like the keyboard and the mouse that must be included with the pc
In my country savest way is to buy parts online is to buy on Komputronik or Morele
In the USA we have a store called Micro Center where you get a Ryzen 5 CPU for the same price as a new game lmao
ofc
Lucky, here it's 100-150eur depending on the generation
A ryzen 2600 is 125€ in Lithuania
Micro center was just selling the Ryzen 5 1600 for only $60 and the 2600X for $80 lmao
That's a steal
ikr
New?
like how ?
Wow
So best way to play bfv in poland it's to buy anorher 8gb ram
3800X $300
would travel 2 US just 2 buy a PC HEHEHH
GL with the Corona sth
Micro center also gives you big discounts when you buy parts for a whole system
I have 4 gas masks so i can go there
You go in there expecting to build a $1000 PC but turn out actually only paying $750 lmao
But in poland for a 1060 i5 8gb computer
How much is a RTX 2060 there?
Lowest I seen a RTX 2060 there was $260
wtf that's almost 2000eur for a system we would consider on the budget side
I cant send pictures here i want to send proce they want for 1060 computer
So i will writr
Write
My PC was 1000eur and that's with a R5 3600 and RX5700XT
The best deal I seen at micro center was if you bought any 2nd gen Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 CPU, you would get a B450 motherboard with it for free

Lmao
That's still almost 1200eur
People in UK,USA can have good pc
I buy all my parts from Germany
Mindfactory?
Yeah, something like that
Actually, there is a pre-built with Ryzen 5 3600 and RZ 5700XT for 1065€ here
I heard the difference in value between Ryzen and Intel CPUs is even bigger in Germany
Its on the same site I will buy from
True, intel is really expensive here, I live in Belgium, but I buy from German sites cause that's way cheaper
An 8th or 9th gen i5 and Ryzen 3600 are the same price here
I mean people from Lithuania go to Poland to buy food and other supllies
With that I mean 9400F
Yes food there is cheap
high schoolers that have part time jobs at fast food restuarants here can have 2080Ti builds

big butthurt
You are from the USA, right?
Damn
Texas
In poland you can't be a gamer with good computer
an 8600k is 250eur for some reason
Same here for the 8600k
So should i buy next 8gb?
Funny because the 8600K will get outmatched by the upcoming $150 10300K
To play bfv without lags?
It should help a lot
Make sure to get a matching stick of ram with the same speeds
Ok i will cuz i cant buy 1600zł gtx 1060 2gb
You mean 3GB
We have 2gb,3,4,6
My ram its ddr4 8gb pc4-19200 DIMM
I think that's 2400MHz
One stick of that is 40eur here (50 at most depending on the manufacturer)
I dont want to remove ram stick from computer to check
I just dont want to damage it
What are those MHz im not expert in tech
Hard to damage a stick of ram
But i have superpower to damage everything i touch
You can use something like CPU-Z to check and it should release without problems if you just use the notch on the DIMM slot
You can also find the speed in the task manager memory tab (but not the timings)
I have 2400 mhz of speed
Pretty much the official speed the 8100 supports up to.
So i need to buy another with 2400 mhz yes?
Preferably the same one, because they also need to have the same timings
I would take a look inside for the exact model
And it will boost my fps or not?
I think i will just take a photo of ram stick and note all of it's specificatons
Yes, and it should also reduce stutter, although the CPU could still bottleneck the GPU, especially on lower settings
BFV doesn't like quad cores
And my pc is lagging but i have lot of free space is it fault of low ram?
Take a look in task manager at the CPU and memory usage while lagging
If anything is really high (90-100%) it's that
Sound about right for idle on W10 (8GB)
It really doesnt like 4 cores, my i5-6402P has a hard time with BF 5
I will join a match and i will check usage then
The only thing you could want maxed out on BFV is the GPU
Usage during a match is 50%
For what?
and the ram?
I think the ram is holding the CPU back, which in turn holds the GPU back
The i3 8100 should be at least 70-80%, maxing out at more intensive moments
CPU usage is pretty normal, but the ram is still holding your PC back
Ok so extra ram will help i think
yes
Great
I'm getting low performance with my Ryzen 9 3900X and RTX 2080 rip
how?
something must be pulling you down
something is bottlenecking you @last rampart
whats youre ram
a
gskill tridentz neo 3600mhz cl16 @true cradle
i only get 120 fps on low settings
my gpu usage is also low
@last rampart is it dual channel ram or 1 stick, also check your driver
drivers*
check vsync
@last rampart this could be cuz youre on low settungs, so your gpu usage is low, try high settings and see what happens, im sure you will get higher usage percentages
2 channels, bios up to date, and all drivers up to date
also toggle ffr on
disable SMT in Ryzen Master and try it again
disable DX12 and DLSS, set frame rate to monitor refresh rate or unlimited
@last rampart
dx12 is never on by default anyway lol
@opaque saddlecongratulations
@prime jasper what for?
@last rampart your on low settings that uses more of the cpu maybe use high
Or medium
1440p?
tried all graphics settings, gpu usage still low
average fps didnt change
also tried 1080p and 1440p
@opaque saddleYou won bfv key😂 ?
what resolution are you getting 120 fps?
both 1080p and 1440p
so youre getting 120 no matter the resolution?
yes
do you have an fps limit on?
nope
vsync? (even though that doesnt make sense)
you can get 120 hz monitors.
dell s2416dg?!
asus rog swift pg279q
you can get a dell monitor that performs 95% of an asus rof monitor, but cost like 60%
my monitor costs half of yours, and for that you get gsync tho..
so dell isnt all bells and whistles
"Game disconnected. Connection to EA online timed out"
For some reason this shit works with a VPN where I get 140 ping, but not with my actual connection which is fibre and has 30 ping
I suspected the problem was the ethernet to power adapter, but I just plugged to computer directly into the switch that's connected to my modem, and it STILL doesn't work
Here I get 3ms ping on speedtest, with the adapter I get 6
@prime jasper oh thanks
😊
hackerfield remove hacker when
disabling SMT somehow fixed the low gpu usage
getting 130-150 fps in ultra settings now
@last rampart Good to know. i know bfv uses 6 cores (fully utilised), up to 12 cores (40-50% usage)

What's the difference between these two?
well, i would assume the more expensive one is a newer generation, but neither of them mention which generation they are
ohh its micro hdmi to hdmi
yeah the generation doesnt really matter
i would say go for the amazon one
Coz of 4k?
because its cheaper
i guess supporting 4k is a nice touch too
what are you using it for ?
Also I would assume the UGREEN one is better quality overall
i got an issue connecting to the internet on my ps4
turn it off turn it on again
the internet was a bit laggy so i decided to restart both my router and ps4 and after that was done i couldnt connect to the internet on the ps4 i have shut down my internet unhooked the ethernet cable from the ps4 and then switched it to another port on the router but still it aint working
when i go to test the internet connection it succesfully obtains the ip address but says failed for the internet connection
yeah i did
and i cannot contact my ISP because its 11 pm
everything is running perfectly fine but i cant seem to connect the ps4 to the internet
Try a different ethernet cable
wish i could but i only got one
alright
Try a laptop using the same ethernet cable
Yup what?
its the cable
hi there, is there any legal software I can use to graphically downgrade my BFV to the point it'll be playable at my rig and it won't be detected as cheating? 😉
Just play at a lower resolution
it blurs and I'm unable to see people in multiplayer

Ryzen 9 4900HS is slamming the i9-9980HK
AMD for the first time ever has the fastest mobile CPU in the world

also while consuming almost half the power lol
if only dell would put those in their business notebooks

seems i have to go for a lenovo
can't work without trackpoint
Oh yeah amd team for the win
@violet plank Dell man will put in a rtx 2070 in a atlon 200ge
maybe if consoles only come with SSDs it might force devs to not make their games 200GBs
🙏
at least i can hope
CODMW is already 183GB
@sand phoenix Oh hell no they're going to make it 400gb now
Consoles are usually pushed towards their limits
MW is only 101gb at moment when ask for 180gb its for resvering for future dlc
@prime jasper Oh fuck my ssd as I got cod mw warzone installed
on it
its 256 as just for boot drive
I got 2 1 tb hdd's
taking up 78gb
maybe did they some recompression of files
because when warzone launch it was 101
gb
I think they did
or I just have a shitty pc
no it would taken storage if had it
Ah true
I'm gonna move it to my hdd's
like said it takes 180gb when first download it so should be good for future updates
Yeah I'm moving it the fuck out
I need that 78gb
as I have 24gb of storage and the other is just some steam games that I don't like to wait to load
if prices were not so jacked i would said upgrade storage but with everything going on its proby better move changing it over to hdd
anyway 180gb is quite normal with dlc going fowarded
BO4 ended at 185gb before mw
I'm just moving the entire game to my 1tb hdd I have inside called biggus dickus
Yeah don't ask the weird naming I need to rename my C: drive
There its named brian
Honestly though, the new gen of consoles will probs be miles better than the older gens just due to the CPU upgrade alone
But most players dont even know what a CPU is, and dont care for high refresh rate gaming
Let's be fair, a consoles target demographic are 9-5 workers who just wanna come home, jump on the couch and play fifa
They eint gonna have a high end gaming monitor, no they have a tv.
Yeah, they've gone from completely underpowered trash to a GPU claimed to be more powerful than an RTX2080 super and Zen 2 based CPU. Still 12Tflops is too vague to determine anything, the GPU could end up way weaker than claimed and not much is said about anything really.
Flops are nothing yeah, but at least we know that the CPU architecture jump is significant
@supple bane main perk of the higher specs is better graphics
True, no longer a shitty jaguar CPU
Yeah good point I guess
But there is still so many people getting hyped over 120 fps or what ever
Less of a difference between PC and console with the look of things, seeing as all games are going for the cinematic angle
120hz on console is pointless until 120hz TVs become the norm
Yeah that's what I mean
So many people hyped for 120 fps capable, yet the majority would have a 30/60hz tv
Guys i just can not imagine how good and strong battlefield 6 is goint to play on next gen consoles. Its too powerfull even for the human brain to think about its actually crazy
What makes you think there even will be a bf6
I think they do have those Derrikk
Yeah, It's like getting a high-end GPU, while you have a 1080p 60Hz monitor, just no point in it.
April 2021-march 2022 is the release
^
Well it means you can crank the graphics to ultra
2020 is where we getting trailers and info
if people wants to run 120Hz from their brand new console, i think more and more tvs will be sold next year
As opposed to the absolutely woeful looks consoles have had previously compared to PC
The main advantage will be being able to play on ultra graphics and at 1080p for the first time
pretty much like, buying a console with a new TV
This whole fps thing is just a waste
Yes, but it's completely overkill and a waste of money
I mean
For the price of a new console and a 120 hz tv you would get a pc and a budget 144hz monitor
And I know which one I would pick
Only use for the fps imo will be people buying a console as a PC just for the exculsives, and using a normal monitor
The high refresh TVs are incredibly expensive
i would say the majority of the Tv owners either run 60 or 100
Majority at 60 yes
I think mines 30
Haven't seen any 100's that aren't budget breaking
Samsung - 55" Class - LED - NU6900 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR
I bought my tv because it was 60hz, 4k and cheap
Im getting that tv for my ps5
And I feel other people would do the same
It's not 120hz tho. @prime jasper
the older tv back in 2011-12 has 100Hz refresh rates
So you wont get to utilize the consoles higher fps
premium tho
Is there even 120hz TVs
yes
There's 165hz TVs
To buy the kit which you would need to stretch the consoles legs would be bank breaking, way more than a balling pc and a 144hz monitor
You can connect console to monitor right?
Yeah
Maybe it's better that they go overkill if the consoles stick as long around as the current gen
65" TVs with gsync, HDR, high refresh etc
Do these consoles support gsync/free sync?
Guys i would get a pc and build a powerfull pc because i have money for it but i dont know about technology AT ALL
tbh running at 360Hz is a problem
Yeah free sync then
Guys i really want someone to teach me parts about pc
Every part like gpu or ssd and all that stuff
Watch youtube videos on how to build a pc...
you have to do more research
its adult Lego
It's great
but more costly
Buying the right components Is the hard part
My hobby is building PC's
Sameeee
And my job is fixing them
i was
Well
Derrikk as i said i hated you job
Ye I don't blame ya
Can you guys like help me how because YouTube videos just dont do it for me
i was doing similar to your job before
Yeah YouTube is your best bet
Well I heard there was this great tutorial The Verge put out there...
oh no
Reccomend me a good video that explains everything please, i want to play pc but i just dont know shit lol
I'll find a link
I feel like this doesn't need a description.
Just enjoy the show.
just, DO NOT watch linustechtips if you want a good channel to explain
@prime jasper (don't follow that vid btw)
it's too casual for learning lmao
@lofty light lmao i knew

Rah watch that
@lofty light iirc the Xbox One S and X support FreeSync
Oh really 👀
Thanks guys imma watch it
That's very interesting
That's pretty neat
Guys i got question, how long it take u to get used to mouse and keyboard? I just cant find right controls lol, my fingers always over each other and thats in like offline games ( free )
I mean shit if u have video for that please send 😂
Took me a few weeks
You just gotta practice rah
Welllllllll I hate using controllers and can't do it because I grew up with m&kb
If you decide to get a FreeSync monitor, keep in mind that it has to support FreeSync over HDMI. Not all FreeSync monitors will work with the Xbox One X.
if you found a good combos you can get used to it in less than a day
Not really any trick to it, it just takes some time to get used
use a trackpad to play FPS games lmao
I grew up with controllers and taught my self how to use a keyboard
i did that tbh
Guys i have question, the video u send me, it includes all the parts right? Just makin sure
I used fortnite to learn as it supported keyboard and mouse natively on consome
Yeah
Dont necessarily buy those tho
You could get a better build than what he did
Theres more powerful ones right?
Oh hell yeah
Yea i have bunch of money saved over the last like 7 years and i havent been treating my self good for the last 2 years
I'd reccomend spending 800 on a pc, 200 on a monitor and 100 on a keyboard / mouse
What parts to get really depend on your monitor and budget
Ok so im actually going to watch the video thanks for sending it
If u guys wanna play battlefield 5 sumtime add me on ps4 Iraqi-shoota

@supple bane there is websites that build your custom pc for you? If there is any please tell me because how i dont trust my self building one lol
you will pay a premium....
a big premium
and no, i dont know any that do that. You could probably find something tho if you ask around
Some sites do it where I live, but it's way more expensive because you're forced to get all the parts from that one site (and others are often way cheaper) and they also charge an additional fee to put it together.
For example: buying parts from Germany and doing it myself ended up almost 300eur cheaper than letting a local Belgian site put it together for me.
Which one is more powerful, Intel or ryzen
depends on the model
Ryzen is better value most of the time though
Overall?
You're right 😂
not more powerfull necessarily, just better priced
but yeah generally, ryzen is better bang for your buck
comes with more, lets say, advanced, advantages too
Like what?
one of those is that they generally have a lower tdp, which means that draw less electricity
and if you paid attention in high school physics
less heat
energy can not be created nor destroyed
so alll that electricity has to go somewhere
heat...
Im still in high school lol
Sophomore
Guys so desktops and monitors go together right?
yeah
Also better multi-core performance for a simular price (or cheaper) For example the i5's have 6 cores with no MT (6threads), but a Ryzen 5 has 6 cores 12 threads
Basically the answer is always buy a 3600 over a 9600
yes

I just wish old Intel cores got cheaper, I need a 2011-v3 socket core for my server
But they all cost waaaay too much to be worthwhile
ME
yeah its a joke
Ye
761eur
you seen those first gen i7's ? they are like over a thousand bucks for like, i3 performance
fucking joke
i got told from the computer stores sales because intel didnt allow the retailers to offer a discount
to anyone apart from business owners
id wonder whats it like for the market share today
the new 4th gen r9 moble chip blew my mind when i watched the video last night...
Damn yall are like black belts of all this pc technology and shit
you are

I am a proud nerd tbh
what about a geek
I think intel has still has 65-70% of the market probably
less than what they used to have
true
intel are gonna have to do something amazing to come back from this past 12 months from amd
but you have look at the sales records, AMD gets 80% of the CPU that has been sold recently
the top 10 best selling CPU are from AMD
intel will definitely keep dropping, until they finally do something
what is the top at the moment ? @opaque saddle
what do you mean
the top 10 best selling CPU are from AMD
3600 or 3700x are the best selling
3600
3700x
i have to check that out
to be fair it changes all the time
AMD climbed with 10% market share in 2019 alone
@supple bane i got Duel Channel Ram now 2x8ram DDr4 2400
and BF1 is +70fps mid-high settings
noice bro thx alot
Which is better combo? Ryzen 7 2700X with 1660Ti or Ryzen 5 3600 with 1660 Super?
strictly gaming? the latter
Ok
i thought the 1660ti was better than the super?
only slightly, the 3600 will make a bigger difference
i imagine it would be a wash
2700 vs 3600 would be a slight difference too wouldnt it?
it would be an even larger difference
looking at benchmarks on youtube seems like a 3600 will get mostly 5 fps more, sometimes 10
super to ti from what im gathering is a 5 fps difference on average
3600 (and any Zen 2 CPU) has better IPC than 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen. Can make a difference in CPU intensive games.
which is probably the 10 fps difference that occurs
and those differences are normally paired with a high end gpu too
2700x is only slightly better when it can use all it's cores (which it often doesn't in games)
id say if the 3600/1660S gets more fps than the 2700x/1660ti its probably by 5 fps at best
It doesn't really matter. Wouldn't notice the difference unless pulling them side by side and staring at an fps counter.
thats why im saying its a wash
this is assuming 1080p, if 1440p the 2700x/1660ti would be better
though i doubt people are looking at that gpu for 1440p
but might be an upgrade path in the future
If it's a pre-built, I would pick the one that cheaps out the least on other components.
whatever is cheaper between the two, and yea if you can tell other components that one
they dont normally list other components other than (550w psu, 16gb ram)
why dont you wait till Easter to buy a new pc?
i know cheap PSU can blow up your computer
A really cheap one, probably
ive never actually seen/heard that
its more likely to just fail
im sure its happened before and will again but i think its rare
depends, prebuilt with upgrades can still be cheaper than buying the individual components from the stores
But the normal cheap ones with basic security will often just fail
Not that I recommend buying a $30 PSU
Still often they cheap out on mobo, PSU, sometimes single-channel ram. Unless you know exactly what's inside, it's difficult to compare.
our 3600 with 2080S, 16GB ram and B450 MSI MB cost 978.7 USD or 1599AUD (or 889USD without tax)
The 5 3600 gtx 1660S cheaps out on parts less
the only downside is the 750W PSU which needs an $60 upgrade for a 100 buck PSU
Its the "Powered by asus" stuff we have in Lithuania
Like mostly asus components, but I dont think thats bad
It has good value too
it seems you shall find a better prebuilt seller tbh
the built i listed only cost 808 Euro without tax
Well in Lithuania 2080S costs like 550€
The prebuilt I mentioned is 840€, and that is from the best seller
I looked a lot
well our 2080S cost 604 Euro
I could spend 900 to get RTX2060 and 5 3600, but they didnt list ANY other parts... Only said its 16gb ram
seems not a good seller tbh
yeah
550eur would be a more expensive 2070 super here
try german Amazon site?
For 550
and ship it to Lithuania
I never really looked into their prices
@opaque saddle I always buy my parts from Germany, got my RX5700XT for 390eur that way (Normally it's almost 450 for a crappy model here)
yeah coz i know some other people do that for a cheaper price
i meant if you can wait till Easter, i guess you can get what you wanted within the budget
comes with warranty services
@west willow jesus i just returned a 5700 that i got for 300 usd
GPUs are too expensive here
thats crazy
that was in september 2019 though
question, do founders editions of gpus come to amazon at launch at msrp?

That is the most expensive 5700 xt
other cards are around 450-480
2060 super is also around 450-500
Prices in NL for Nvidia..
1660ti: 300-350
2060 super : 450-500
2070 super: 575-700
2080 super: 800-950
2080ti: 1200- 1500
dunno why I even made that list just bored
geesh 2080 supers here are like 700 usd
that tasty VAT for you
!!oof
yeet
Erghh. I just spent 2 hours discussing 8 pin power connectors only to be more confused coming out than going in
Turns out 8 pin pcie power isnt universal
21% on almost everything you buy here
Like I and everyone thought
No
Not one bit
But we didn't realise that at the start
Hence the discussion that followed of a bunch of nerds arguing over power cables
Basically. On the +2 of a 6+2. The key can be different depending on the psu.
And I didn't know that, I thought it was universal
So heres me researching new Psu's because I think mine is barked
Typed 'are Pci-e cables universal' into google and instantly got no. Saved 2 hours of my life.
Probably why they always say to only use the cables that come with your PSU
Yeah that's the thing
Different psu have different cables
Despite them both being labelled pcie
16-core laptop incoming
3950X inside
i dont think ill ever get a xx80 ti gpu
they are normally expensive AF for little gain
I get them for the ram playing mods
Anyone know how to fix a DXGI error when launching BF4?
this didn't used to happen before, I think it started after the latest nvidia drivers
Which is a better GPU? RX 5700 for 350€ or RTX 2060 for 320€? The RX seems faster, but I heard that it overheats a lot and has driver issues
the 5700
it doesnt over heat. but there is a 5% chance you will get a card with bad driver issues
but that doesnt mean you wont have the same problems with a 2060, i just brought an rtx 2070 that was DOA. so it can happen to anything
So the driver issues can only be fixed by returning the card?
The cheapest RX 5700 is the MSI Evoke one
Or can It be fixed by driver update
some times it can be fixed by some trial and error. But if you do get unlucky with a bad card it will have to go back yes
Well, the shop Im buing from has a good return policy
You think its good paired with a ryzen 5 3600
yeah
And what PSU would I neeed? I picked a 550W
thats fine
I was looking at prebuilts for the past week, but I somehow found better value building myself
I just hope I can manage it... I have built a PC once in my life with my godfather when I was like 12 😀
And that was 5 years ago...
My total is 900€ exactly
ill have a crack at specing the best thing i can out for that price point and see how it compares to what you are planning on
nvm, pc part picker doesnt have an option for your country
I would say go with the RTX 2060, DLSS 2.0 looks very promising
But it does not work on all games, right?
yeah it only works on specific things
well getting a graphics card is an investment, so you gotta look into the future and new games are bound to support new technologies
I wouldn't get a first generation card of a new technology though
You'd be a beta tester
I expect next gen RTX to be way better with Ray-tracing and DLSS
So far only Control and some robot fight game support DLSS 2.0
And only a couple more games this year will eventually support it
battlefield supports it or is planning to support it based on what I read
A user from Bilibili named Morisummers managed to get his hands on a engineering sample of the soon to be flagship ancient GTX 480 from a friend of his. There was once another of these missing GTX 480 existed in the past but the source no longer works. Quote A fully unlocked G...

a 240mm radiator can handle about 180w that means you would need a little over 3 240mm radiators all in a loop
and even then it would be getting toasty
Is anyone willing to gift me 1 dollar though paypal

@gloomy gyro AMD recommends a 600W PSU btw, but if the 550W one is of decent quality you'll be perfectly fine. They do the same for the 5700XT and that uses a quite bit more power than a regular 5700.
a 550w will run most systems tbh
yanno, you eint gonna put a titan rtx and a TR on a 550w. but still
Ik, no clue why AMD recommends the same for a regular 5700 as the XT as it uses less power.
because of ppl like you who always short it by at least 50w and say "good enough"
they dont

I thought the tdp of a 5700 was 180w
@prime jasper Actually I do the opposite, pick one that's slightly above the recommended. (50-100W). Put a 650W Gold+ one with my 5700XT
@prime jasper your country litterally invented red neck engineering, so you speak for your self
"people like you" he says
im british,
we are kings of doing things right
or... queens.... you do you.
kings of doing things right
lost their precious colonies to a bunch of rednecks mad about tea
Mad about taxes on tea
One way to get rid of them I guess
Apparently the American colonists only payed 1-2% taxes, but they started a revolution over it.
well we created the richest and most powerful country in the world... not bad id say
i dont mind that
i have every thing i could ever mind in an arms reach, the mountains of northen wales and scotland are just a few hours drive away. and the sunny holiday parks of the south coast are also just a few hours drive away.
all i know is that im sitting on gift cards waiting to upgrade my pc i havent upgraded in 3+ years
i hope the rumors are not true about the consumer cards coming in 10nm
whys that?
dunno,it's said the pro cards are in 7nm and consumer in 10nm
what are 2000 on? 12?
think so ye
personally i could care less about the specs as long as its good price to performance
well i care about power consumption and heat
HOPEFULLY the 3080 cards are around 2080ti performance for 700 bucks or less
but nvidia is usually good with that compared to amd
i dont think thats too lofty of an expectation
since the 2080 is around the 1080ti performance your whish might come true
i expect a q4/2020 release since amd will launch it's high end navi in that quarter
no reason for nvidia to release them earlier
yea
im expecting september or november
idk i feel like december is just a weird time to launch
those are weird times anyways atm and i guess for the months to come
most chinese suppliers are going back to normal atm,but it's highly likely there will be a second covid wave in fall
foxconn just says there will be no delay for the iphone 12
for that they need a tape out in may and mass production start in june
do you think 3080 will be 700 or less? i saw one report say 500 bucks
500?
lol yea
i would be glad if it's 700
id say 600 cheapest at most
look at the 2080 prices,my guess it will be the same
700 would be already cheap, my guess is around 800
oof, well i hope for 700 because thats what im building up to
AMD changed their TDP definition for Navi (RX 5700 series)
it now represents normal power consumption on reference design under full load
225 watts for 5700XT, 180 watts for 5700
I've seen aftermarket factory overclock 5700XT models hit 242 watts peak
whereas if you compare with a Vega 64, that would peak around 380 watts lmao
Radeon VII peaks at 350 watts
oof
If you were to overclock a Navi 10 chip like the 5700XT until it consumes 300W you would probably not even gain 15% more performance compared to the 5700XT because power draw does not increase linear with performance.
If you were to make a bigger RDNA1 Navi chip with increased core count and set clocks in the efficient 1600MHz range, a 4096 core 1st gen Navi consuming 300W should be about <10% ahead of the 2080Ti.

Was cleaning old laptops for selling off at work, and came across these galaxy brain designs for the macbooks
Coming from reliable leaker that I cannot name: RDNA2 and Zen3 release date pushed back, originally was 7th of October

i have an fps problem while playing bfv, can anybody help me
specs?
Same reason there is a general channel
because people like to talk about their interests
You clearly miss the joke there
yeah i guess i do
GGdr7
yeah lol
pcie 5.0
fantasy hardware
Pci-e 4 and GDDR6 arrived like last year
yep
pcie 5.0 will come, but only to servers
next year
gddr7 just does not exist yet
@lofty light the white macbook are ace
A vega 64 probably wont get 144fps at 1440p, but the 2600 certainly wont be bottlenecking anything
Awesome! :) it does get about 130fps with my 3700x haha as I play custom settings
I'd be happy to take a 2600 up to a 5700xt/2070 super. Past that it will bottleneck too much
On those cards it gives a 5% bottleneck. Anymore than that is too much for me
Makes sense! :) bitwit put a 1600af with a 2080super
Awesome :) gonna put 3700x into my streaming pc and 2600 in gaming pc
I'd do the same
Yeah! :D as you dont need 8 cores for gaming haha
What gpu are you using in the streaming pc ?
1650 super
Side note I'd say you would get away with just using the 3700x
Ad gaming and streaming
I used to do that but I got issues with stuttering found out its AMD driver issues
Have a 1440p 144hz
And 4k 60hz
anyone please tell me the download size of bf3 and bf4..
BF3: 20-35GB BF4: 30-65GB (depending on if you own DLC or not)
Ok i will download standard
and bfv 103gb
bf1 85GB
No clue, could be even bigger. Who knows
At that rate I'll need some more storage though
i have 11gb internal storage atm
rdr2 is 175gb at leat
Rip the new consoles with 1TB SSDs
or xbox
5 large titles and they are done for it
its a shame our internet speed cant even catch up with the storage
imaging 200gbs per game
Have about 30GB left on my boot drive 😅
with 150mbps internet (that was like 10 years ago standard)
remove the files to speed up your boot drive
And around 250 on the other
i have installed my new nvme ssd and my pc can shut down in 2s
I have a question. How Do you connect dual monitors do I need a display port
My drive C is nvme as well
the gpu these days only have one HDMI port
Yes, all the others are DP
if you have an older card then no, newer card, yes
Yeah I have a rtx 2080 ti and it has only one hdmi and 3 dp
use dp to maximise the pc abilities
like 1440p 144hz monitor for the 2080ti
if you have a console and you can free those HDMI ports as well
The two monitors I have is 165mhz do I connect both hdmi cord together or do I connect dp into hdmi towards one monitor
1080p 165? or 1440 165?
1080p
hmm i will plug the dp in to the 165
you cant run 165hz are you asking?
I could run it and I have the dp adapter that’s why

Back case fan isnt on as it could fit in but during premire pro (100% usage on 3700x) stressing system its highest temperature is 61 will I be okay?
thats quite decent for a stress test
3700X can handle up to 95C without throttling
I have a noctua nhd15 @prime jasper
well thats why
@prime jasper will I be okay without a back fan then
Yeah ikr xD but not for 4k rendering in video ediitng
Wow I didn't know that DICE had tech
Hey guys when I got my pc some months ago I could play bf1 in ultra like nothing now when I play I can't even play on low and have some signs appearing on the right
Factory reset didn't help
I have a gtx 1050 a i7 8550k and 8 gb ram
im honestly surprised a 1050 could play bf1 on ultra
its within system requirements
sounds like a laptop though, could be throttling
8550h is a laptop cpu
Remember yesterday when linus fooled us
they made a video saying that he didnt know anything about tech
it was quite well made tbf
was totally un realistic tho
they went too far
Hackerfield
What is throttling
when it gets too hot, it will slow down to try and stay cool
I undervoltwd my cpu and it seems to not low its Temps
Idk what I did wrong
you did nothing wrong
just your system isnt strong enough to play bf1
especially not on ultra
Yeah but I get 90 C
On my cpu
And people say it's normal on my laptop model
But
It's still weird
its normal for a laptop yes, but that will cause it to throttle
pretty much all laptops get overly hot
I'm using throttle stop but I don't know if it's lowering its Temps
yeah that isnt going to magically give you 100 fps
yeah im not surprised tbh
i really dont know how a 1050 was running "smoothly" on ultra
you have a magical 1050 then
Lol
a 1050ti isn't even smooth at ultra
Guess i'l just don't play it then
Idk
But
I could run the game on ultra
Btw I'm talking about bf1
Yeah, im too. a 1050ti gets 45-70fps depending on if something is happening or not. a regular 1050 is fucked anyway, because it only has 2GB of vram
according to youtube, you would get around 40 fps on ultra with massive stutters
But
That doesn't matter
How can I get low fps with a lot of stutters on low with a lobby without people
Why i don't see giveaway channel?
Because there is no giveaway right now
People said that vega64's use too much power and get hot... well my pc is currently making me very cold
Loads of people are saying a 2600 and 2080ti is a bottleneck at 1440p but this video proves otherwise xD https://youtu.be/x1uIpYT38eE
What cpu would you put with a 2080ti xd
9700k
3600 or 3700x
Ahh okay much difference from 3600 to 3700 at 1440p?
Nah
Ah xD I'll keep 2600 till I dont get over 90fps anymore (that's the minuim I'm happy at)
Has anyone found a configuration file for the T16000m joysticks either single or dual for BFV?
i will get either 3700 and use for a few years, or buy 3600 and sell it in 2 years time and get a better one
@pallid silo no a 2600 would bottleneck a 2080ti
Especially on a bf title
2560 x 1440 Ultra Gameplay review of the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 at 4.2ghz with 3466mhz cl14 memory paired with a RTX 2080 overclocked 125mhz core, 700 mhz memory. I will be benchmarking 12 games in this video today. The games I will be testing today are Shadow Of War, Battlefield1,S...
Skip to bf1 on that video
And look at the gpu usage
That's a tell tale of a bottleneck
And that's only a 2080 mind, it would be worse with a ti
Makes sense! :) @supple bane I play at 120hz tho and anything over 90fps is good for me :)
you play on a tv?
But there is no tech
yeah thats what i thought
guys
maybe if we stop asking where the tech is
and ask how is the tech
maybe it will show up
I'm sorry but we do not have the tech to keep this section up, go to the general section for tech tips, please and thank you.
@supple bane monitor
Anyone know if bfv will add dlss 2.0?
pc down for anyone else?
Hi guys I have in BF V problems with my FPS. They drop from 60 to 1 back to 40 and so on. Can anyone help me with this problem. My graphic options ingame is everything on normal. I have the latest driver and I have a Asus 1060 6gb; AMG ryzen 1600 processor and 8gb ddr4 ram
