I think something that might have changed things is the fact that I set "Enable Threaded Optimization" to ON in nvidia panel settings

I would at least get an (maybe used) 8th gen (or 9th depending on local prices) i5, should have no problems on that mobo. Quad cores (like that i3) will stutter on BFV. It's still playable, but not recommend. Pair that with a RX570 or 580 (depending on the budget) and you should be good to go.

No, for gaming it's fine as long as the CPU doesn't bottleneck the GPU (So a 6c/12t CPU like a 2600 is great). For streaming and editing especially you would want a CPU with a lot of cores to save time and avoid stuttering.

@thick copper download the drivers for your 1660 Super, don't install them yet, then download DDU and use it (click the safe mode option)

once DDU turns your PC off, turn back on and install 1660S driver, recommend unchecking the GeForce Experience box in the install because GeForce is a bit of bloatware

keep it checked if you want to use Shadowplay, Ansel or the thing that automatically sets graphics settings for you in games

It didn't take me this long, I finally decided to try and figure it out yesterday. Somehow some of the game files ended up on my C drive, which is OS only plus a few peripheral utilities, instead of on my game drive. After deleting them all and reinstalling game runs fine now
