Not many people have large spaces for them to put an Ultrawide monitor on their desk
Including me
I dont think I'll ever get an ultra wide, I csny justify it. I'd rather 2x27" which is what I've got now
One 1440p 144hz for gaming and one 1080p 60hz for a secondary
Imo that's the optimal monitor setup
Looks clean
@molten coral do you play games at full ultra wide or just a 16x9 box in the middle ?
Full ultra wide
Does it not take a crap on your fps?
Yeah it does but with a 2080ti it's fine
Although i've to say that in games like BFV I have to go to medium settings to have good fps
But it doesn't really bother me
Yeah, I could understand an ultra wide for someone playing games to be immersed and for the visuals, but Its not the best for competitive players
I also use it a lot for work, excel sheets, word, info from the web, e-mail open etc
Mm
I also use it a lot for work, excel sheets, word, info from the web, e-mail open etc
@supple bane Thats a dope set up bro
I try
If you get ultrawide odds are you'll need to make one of your side monitors vertical to fit them all
But it's 10000% worth it
o no, I put my second monitor vertical and I think I like it
I've gotten used to it too
I figured out this GPU, it is the overclock version so it needs a bigger PSU than I have
i can't post images yet but i just use a single 24 inch
desk kinda too small for multi monitor, but i could do 27 inch eventually maybe
I mean if you're doing one monitor you could even do ultrawide, just have a lot hanging off the sides
the desk has several "floors" with a metal plate on each side of the desk
hm but I could fit one maybe
dam
i still use 15 inch monitor with gt 730
and get lovely 40fps 50% screen resolution
insert jpeg meme
@ashen flax having the best gamer experience
The true 40fps 540p experience indeed
sounds like using the old style 5:4 or 4:3 monitor
Probably, but we don't know the resolution anyway, so I just picked a random one.
jpeg quality
That's for sure
@ashen ether hans why do you come into squad voice rooms and do not talk and just leave hastily when addressed?...not coming down on you, just curious.
liar
@sinful mantle you mean, that time you were talking about highways? Philadelphia and stuff
My BFV just crashed to desktop with no error, i have 1 mdmp file inside my Battlefield V Crash Dump folder. Any kind soul or any BFV moderators or Devs of this channel help me analyse my mdmp file 😦
PM me if you can help. Thank you for reading.
can anyone help me in my BFV menu the pictures are blacked out and I dont know why and I get low frames and I watch videos with people with the same specs and get like 60-70 and it keeps freezing
please PM if you have a solution
I didn't
Can I run bf5 on 60fps with i5 6402P and a RX470 (8gb vram) and 8 gb RAM?
It says a rx560 is required
But I saw videos of people using rx 470
But the RX470 seems to be more powerful on benchmarks 🤔
Im not very good in those things
in bfv
same thing
And I have a 60hz 1080p monitor
Wouldnt the CPU be too weak?
I am just making sure I can run it properly before buying
4 core 4 thread hm
I had to buy more ram 8gb and than bf5 work for me
the cpu should be ok, but you'd want a better one eventually
you might get stuttering sometimes
I will probably buy BF5, after all, I will upgrade my PC in a few months
Low enough to get 60fps
I have gaming notebook xp
Thats all that matters to me
I have 40 70 on low with ultra textures
Normally the RX 470 with 8GB or vram does pretty well
The i5 6402P CPU is the weaker part I think
@gloomy gyro I have a 470 as a spare card and a few weeks ago until I upgraded the 470 on low was doing about 60-80 on campaign and 80-100 on milultiplayer
Thats good enough, I will be upgrading soon too
Ok
What card do you have now?
yeah his gpu is fine, cpu is a bit on the weaker side though
@gloomy gyrome
Yeah
My upgrading will be a new pc, this one will still be used
OK what gpu r u planing to get
I just dont know what to pick, I would like the PC to be below 900€
I was thinking about the RTX2060
Or the RX 5700
And a ryzen 5 2600x
seems fine
Yh i think that's a lot better
The 'x' is only 5€ more expensive than the standart version
Btw will 8gb ram be fine in my current system for low settings?
I think so
And I am on windows 7
Ok
@gloomy gyro what I would do is if your planing to run games like bfv and have other applications open would go and get 16gb of ram
On the new build I will definitely get 16gb
Yh that would be best
Back in 2016, when I built this PC, 8GB was fine
And this CPU is overclockable, would that make a difference
Well, I am building it with some help
Im talking about the i5 I have
@gloomy gyro a little difference
@quick locust @gloomy gyro you can get a 2600x to 4.1 ghz with a decent cooler. that will be a little boost
Yh
well yeah, but it's not too much
What cooler do you have for the cpu
In the intel page it says with turbo boost the max frequency is 3.4 ghz
The one I got on the box
Is 3.4ghz the max u can overclock it
It says so in the intel page
Its turbo boost, apparently its not the same as overclocking
And what ghz u running now
2.8
What I say is do some research and see which is best to overclock it to
If your using the stock cooler don't oc it too much
Yeah, and it might help the longevity of the CPU
But its ur decision
Even though its already 5 years old
Yh
@gloomy gyro what cpu is it ?
I would put it to like 2.9 or 3
i5 6402P
Its not overclocking, its turbo boost
yeah you cant change a turbo boost
Hmm
it just follows factory settings
turbo is just what speed the chip will reach on its own
thats not something you can change
Ok
all ryzen can OC tho (except laptops)
All right then
trying to place a config and i dont have a settings folder in the game directory
what do you plan to achieve by doing this ?
making the game run better with advanced settings
just change them in game lol
configs change values outside of the game and do a better effect at changing the amount of fps you get G R A N T
Me is no like grant
i can assure you. changing those settings will have very minimal effects on the games performance. hence why dice didnt bother making it an option you can change in game
and my name isnt grant
it does make a difference
just use custom settings in game
Apparently I last updated my windows 7 in 2017. Cool
🙃
@supple bane it changes the values more than the ingame its allowed and it gives people around 30 extra fps WHICH I NEED
What's your specs
i can run battlefront 2 perfectly everything is above min exept cpu
WHERE CAN I FIND THE DAMN SETTINGS FOLDER REEEEEEEEEEEE
@idle venture what components do you have for your pc
@idle venture ok
Wow, this game made me realize I have 2018 gpu drivers
How big is the download for this game? It says it needs 50gb, but the download should be less
its 80
Oh ok. Thats like 20 hours of downloading for me 😀
@gloomy gyro it was only 2 hours for me
need some help
moved bfv from my hdd to my newly installed nvme
made origin find the game on the ssd and then it crashes
some1 knows how to solve that problem?
some1 knows how to solve that problem?
i just reinstall it

One of several reasons why I don't like ASUS
anyone buying strix editions are normally throwing money away, now its even worse
I was going to say something, but you already perfectly summed it up.
ive always been a "spend 20 more than msrp at most" kind of person
wait fill me in. in america, are reference models the cheapest ?
typically
well, iirc nvidia founders editions were more expensive than some AIB gpus
not here their not lol
reference cards are more expensive than AIB?
by a long shot
wtf
the reference 5700xt is around the same price as the gigabyte gaming oc
so a blower style 5700xt cost more than an AIB dual fan gpu?
more than a triple fan in some cases
ehhh that might be due to supply and demand
well my best guess is that reference models are the only ones manufactured in the US, shipping fees and all
but they might not be made in the US
🤷
Only the heatsink + cooler differ across AIBs, although some brands use custom PCBs as well. Almost all of these parts are produced in Taiwan and/or China. These are almost always better on AIB cards (some problematic ones excluded), so the reference cards are basically obsolete at this point. Especially considering the prices are so close.
founders edition Nvidia GPUs aren't bad anymore
I used to only recommend them if you were gonna put a waterblock on them, now they don't use the blower fans anymore
Talking about the AMD RX5700XT specifically. Those reference models still use blower fans.
You're right about the nvidea rtx series though.
AIBs also use different MOSFETs, chokes, capacitors, memory modules, ect.
Yeah, basically everything can be different except the GPU itself, but the difference is often pretty small. (kind of meant that with custom PCBs)
Intel® Core™ i9-9900T Processor (16M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) quick reference guide including specifications, features, pricing, compatibility, design documentation, ordering codes, spec codes and more.
i9-9900T is locked to 35 watts yet still costs $440, performance similar to Ryzen 7 2700
I think lower power CPUs should cost way less because it's essentially a bad bin
those are only really used in SFF business machines so the price is all bundled up in bulk deals anyway
well F to my HDD
Hey, I just bought the RX 5700 XT and now my crashes every now and then...

@lethal prism What drivers are you on now?
On BFV I used to have frequent crashes on 19.12.2 and after. They are gone on the newest for me, but try rolling back to this driver (19.12.1): https://www.amd.com/en/support/previous-drivers/graphics/amd-radeon-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-xt
thanks, I will try
Scroll down and you should find it
I am downloading it rn
Used to be crash free for me, hope it's the same for you.
Kinda annoying that I have to worry about which driver I have... Thats the only thing I hate about Amd
pobody nerfect
you should aslways read the notes to see what the driver addresses
you should always wait a week or so to download drivers to see of issues
sometimes the latest isnt for your particular game
im still using a two+ year old driver because theres no issues with it
Yeah, I need to switch sometimes, because some games run bad on the newest drivers. Especially older titles.
exactly
the old proverb..."if it aint broken, don't fix it"
i know dudes that get the latest drivers everytime just for the fuck it
With nvidea you can mostly get away with it, but always wait a bit to be sure. If you play mostly older titles you don't even need the newest drivers.
yep very true
used to be with nvidea you had the manually delete the old drivers before loading new ones
its way too easy now....lol
Still do that with AMD sometimes tbh, just to make sure the issue doesn't come from some leftover driver. (for both updating or rolling back)
yeah i would too i guess but its been a long time since ive gotten new drivers
actually seems to work now! thanks alot
no problem
tech chat to the rescue
thankfully choco took over the rolling back process, ive never actually done that
It's part of the AMD experience :p
i was always an AMD fan boy until recently
The RX5700XT is my first AMD card actually
RX 5700XT has issues with using hardware acceleration in apps, especially Chrome and Discord @lethal prism
already had tried to close everything. I think it actually was a problem because of the newest driver.
@sinful mantle isnt recently the reason to be a fanboy?
one thing you can do is just use a driver that wasn't made since the 2020 version of Adrenalin drivers
so 19.12.1 or older
no i mean my last card was my first nvidea card ever
swapped at the wrong time bucko
opposite for me
unless you got a 2080S
its a GTX 960 so i did okay
5600xt will be my first amd gpu
still viable
region zen?
my previous one was a 950
Best thing to do, if you don't need an upgrade right now
my tv supports freesync and only has hdmi, so 5600xt it is
a lot of retailers that test RMA'd AMD cards say they can't replicate the same problems customers have
@latent light yea im starting to wonder if people have nvidia drivers with amd drivers and are having problems with that
Not cleaning the drivers properly after upgrading
which is sad if its user error for amd gpus and they are returning/swearing amd off
youtubers are saying they dont have any issues themselves
Meanwhile they could've fixed it with DDU in a few minutes
Intel almost deleted support of Nvidia graphics cards from their compatibility one time when they got into a disagreement over a decade ago lol
that would of sucked
tbf, i didnt know about DDU till recently (from reading about these problems), and im fairly knowledgeable about this stuff, at least compared to most
so i cant imagine how many people have themselves to blame
In normal situations, you don't need to wipe drivers completely though so you could go months to years without needing it. Especially with geforce experience doing everything for you if you're on nvidea.
im gonna clean install just because
the only thing on this pc is games so ill just redownload
2008-2009, NVIDIA sold chips that had a critical flaw, where the GPU would basically detach itself from the package/substrate. This was later coined as “bumpgate”. Basically, NVIDIA changed the material used to connect the GPU die and substrate, which had better properties overall, but had the downside of having lower conductivity, meaning you need more of them to supply adequate power to the chip. NVIDIA didn't see this coming, meaning these connections, called bumps, had a tendency to expand more than expected under load, due to thermal expansion. This is obviously not good on its own, but NVIDIA also used a very stiff underfill under their chips, which didn't have appropriate deformation to absorb this bump expansion. This meant that these critical connections had a tendency to simply break in half, severing electrical connections. All this meant that these GPUs could have a failure rate of up to 40%. This problem affected all NVIDIA 65nm and 55nm parts, so all the Tesla architecture cards.
^probably the worst time Nvidia ever had

this is also the reason Apple stopped using Nvidia because this situation was made worse when Nvidia sued Apple, Dell and HP, blaming them for the high failure rates
sounds similar to when apple stopped putting the packing behind some chip in the phone, so it would just come loose over time
so when doing the recall on the phones all they needed to do was pump in a little bit of the expanding foam backing shit they had previously used on all their other phones..oof
@lofty light Node 202 or Silverstone ML08?
Neither
going for slim case, one that fits in a backpack
both of those are about the same size of an Xbox One lol
My sis has a htpc in a ML08 that we have spare now but mine is a GEEEK A30
Tbh i really like the ML08
But when you get a PC half the size it's hard to pass up
I'd probably use the Asrock deskmini once Ryzen comes out with new APUs
I was real excited for the STX motherboards
get a PC so small you use a laptop charging cable to power it
NZXT H200i?
H200i is still as wide as any regular ATX case
Tbh I'm still interested in this thing https://www.ple.com.au/Products/631456/Intel-NUC-Gen8-Hades-Canyon-i7-Barebones-VR-Gaming-Mini-PC
Completely unable to upgrade but it's a nifty piece of tech
that RX Vega M GH graphics chip in that NUC is actually pretty good
what kind of graphics card allows for that?
But I do reccomend this for a mini case btw https://www.geeekstore.com/shop/geeek-a30-mini-itx-case/
PSU?
Oh, well that blurb says more than I saw
It has a special PSU, like a mini server one
I can't recall the form factor
those are hazardous
Mine hasn't killed me yet 🤷
heard many stories of small PSUs catching on fire
Worst bit is the fan on it has a dead bearing so it clicks
get a bigger backpack?
I mean you could get this too https://www.zotac.com/us/page/vr-go-backpack-pc
ZOTAC - The original creators, pioneers, and manufacturer of Mini PCs and innovators of the fastest NVIDIA GeForce GTX Gaming Graphics Cards
1650Ti is gonna come soon, performance between the 1650 and 1650 Super at 75 watts

it's just a 1650 with GDDR6
memory bandwidth is 12 Gbps, whereas the current GDDR5 model has only 8 Gbps
Alternatively this is what the steam machines turned into https://www.zotac.com/us/product/mini_pcs/magnus-en72080v-barebone
Zotac is great at making tiny computers and parts, but they suck tbh
Zotac has high RMA count for GPUs
Should i retire LGA 775 Q9650 in 2020?
Use it only as media station at my second house
That's only 12 years old, just into high school
@latent light btw I googled around and the flex psu I have is a custom Delta one from the server market so it should be fine
what wattage is it
Q9650 is a quad-core. Maybe not wise yet. 775 equipped with SSD is still smooth
@latent light i'm happy to say that
Ebay returned money for the faulty CPU
lol
gonna try to get another one?
tbh the 6950X should be $100 at most
at this point
5960X is still working suffice
better spend money on Nintendo 64 for 150 dollar
was my first console
lol
no wait
it's more wise to buy nintendo 64 usb stick instead right
N64 USB with emulator should be the same
I'd love to get a 6950X tbh, my server is running off my old 5820K
My impression was about 15-20% performance boost over the 5960X
6950X had scratches at cpu pins
but OC sweet spot for 6950X is lower than 5960X
Fair, for multitasking though
Wanna run a Minecraft server with as many peeps as possible off mine

The seller completely ignored that when i countered him about it. I provided several pictures, yet he said i was the cause because i OC'ed
idk
do the lower core speed nullify more cores?
for example 6950X may reach 4.3GHz stable 10 core vs 5960X at 4.5GHz 8 core.
you're less likely to hit a higher clock speed with more cores
less cores means better overclock
I'd rather spend the money on something newer
hanging on semi-old hardware ain't fun in the long run
Ryzen 9 3900X and a X570 motherboard together should run up about $700
might want faster ram though
you probably got that early DDR4 batches
2133 MHz at CL17 timings
lmao
Anyway, was the rumors about 2080 Ti Super false?
rumor so no way of knowing if it's true or false
but I'm sure there's a 2080 Ti Super waiting
someone told me 2x 2080 Super OC equals about 1.5x in 2080 Ti in performance
that 2077 card is just a 2080Ti with Cyberpunk 2077 theme on it
don't buy 2 GPUs ever
ever
you'll face a lot of problems in games with multiple graphics cards
don't devs care about it longer?
using more than 1 GPU can cause stuttering, artifacting, black screens, driver crashes, games not starting, ect.
Battlefield 5 scales horribly with nvlink
perhaps some older games can benefit from nvlink?
in that case one card is suffice
SLI looks great but that's about the end of the perks of it
Very few games support it, and even less support it to any real extent
Trust me, I used to have it back in the day, was so damn pretty
I'm thinking I'll sell some old parts, mod my A30 and buy a 2070 super for it to prep for a new VR kit at one point
Sis'll be happy as she can run monster hunter better on it as a result

Who even switch to play zelda
@opaque saddle nope, she's a monster hunter/Pokemon player normally
Q-Q i cant connect to online bfv.... wat happen to my wifi ??? x.x
all you gotta do is restart
well i know but
it shouldnt break apart so fast
especially windows search and windows file manager does so you have to keep restarting the services
so fast? how fast
8-10 hrs
i believe
i couldnt imagine running win 10 on a server, dunno how linus deals with this stupidity
probably because you have the exception, not the norm
server 2016 works quite well at my job
yeah but the consumer version
they fired their QA team
they broke the search function for some days cause of some bing issues recently

so i compared my ps4 pro original, to my friends ps4 pro god of war edition and his ps4 pro was WAAAAAY quieter
cant even find a fan replacement atm so im just gonna open it all up and clean it and replace thermal paste/pads
i know people do drill a few holes onto the surface of the PS4 and put a case fan on top of it to get more air into the cooling systems
i currently have my ps4 pro with the top completely off
that can be easily done with USB modification
im probably gonna take it apart today and replace paste and clean it
gl
cant be bothered to touch my ps4 coz i dont wanna kill it
btw i got G sync working on my pc
spent 4 hours for the return to the computer hardware store to get a replacement DP cable
yea i dont want to kill it either, but at the same time i avoid playing games on it because its so loud
the technician tested my "brand new off the shelf" cable. RMA confirmed
@opaque saddle Was it really just the cable?
at least it was that simple, and at the same time how frustrating
but not DP cable so i assumed that was the cable issues
however i didnt have another DP cable to test it so i made a big guess
Imagine if the monitor was faulty instead, at least it's simply a new cable now.
is it a new monitor?
what do you do when the cable for the monitor is bad? do you get a whole new unit
My guess is that they would just sent a replacement cable
Yeah a new free sync monitor. I bought the DP cable to run g sync (with adaptive sync) on it
It’s the viewsonic vx2758
Like a stripped down version of the Gigabyte Aorus AD27QD.
Same as I thought. But the monitor doesn’t come with DP cable. Only the HDMI cable is provided. I paid for 12 bucks for the DP cable along with the pick up order.
hab ne frage
right?
i have a question
ok
play you bt5
yes
what craphikscard do you use ?
gtx 1080
ok
i bought bt5 2 hour ago and my graphicscard is too bad ind i serch for a guy that can send me his graphicscardsettings
i have a gtx 1050
1050 is pretty bad
yeah thats not gonna cut it
yes but i cant change it
return bfv
where did you get the game?

Can anyone help me
My battlefield 1 audio is messed up
it is just high pitch and crackly and weird
ONLY bf1?
idk its the only battlefield game i own at the moment
but are other games doing it
or sound
try reinstalling maybe

never again
verify files
exit game, go to origin, right click and there should be something about checking the files
hey uh
nothing related to BF but
can someone tell me how to change input on a Philips model 32PF7331/12 tv
Without a remote
what a peculiar question
cuz i messed up and i cant find a way to change it back
have you checked behind the sofa?
No i mean this TV is 8 years old and the remote is long gone
Been trying to find a way to change input for the past 2 hours
lol wtf
Another solution for me would be to get a new monitor and connect my PS4 to that
there you go
but damn if only i had a existent budget
sounds like youre due for an upgrade
ive heard there are apps you can download on your phone
i dont know if they work or not tho
HAH
nah
this isnt a Smart TV sadly
Else this issue wouldve been resolved long ago
And my phone doesnt have a IR blaster
because Apple
what are you trying to achieve exactly ?
change input on tv

no ik that dip shit. like are you stuck on the cable tv and want to go to hdmi, are you stuck on hdmi and want to go to cable tv,
Stuck on cable and want to go on HDMI
Probably
No idea
I only have a power line on it and no other cables
have you done it with the thing on the other end of the hdmi turned on ?
ya
have you tried asserting your dominance?
idk man
Let me try it again
youve got two options
get an upgrade
or bully the tv into changing
maybe black mailing it
Or i can get a universal remote
threaten it with arson
feed it cookies and it might change for you out of love
i dont think there is anything you can do
have you tried googling it ?
you cant cycle through the "programs" until it goes to inputs?
well try it
Time to scroll through 99 channels of emptiness
yep
didnt do jack
who is jack?
yo moma
Last few only showed ‘EXT 1’ ‘EXT 2’ ‘EXT 3’
moma jack
Well shit i guess its really either upgrade or buy a remote huh
yarp
what are EXT 1/2/3?
get hdmi to whatever the fuck that is converter
or dont play in hd and use the pr pb y connections if ext4 was an option
Probably just gonna buy a new monitor
There are a few for sale at my internship for 25euros each
does anyone know how to fix battlefield 1 from not starting
for me i am getting an infinite loading screen when ever i start the game
Anyone willing to help me on something?
ye

both are a bit.. funky
and personally i always advise against pre builts
i will put a build together for you if you are open to learning to build (its honestly not that hard
but to answer the question, PERSONALLY i would get the dell for 800 bucks
2700x is way better than the 1500x
the 1060 and 580 are pretty close to performance to eachother
Ryzen 7 2700 system is more future proof
all you gotta do to upgrade it in the future is put a new graphics card in it lol
1500X has half the core and thread count
they better put dual channel RAM in that PC
if it's just a single 16GB stick, you're gonna miss out on a ton of performance
two 8GB sticks is much better
@storm osprey EXT 1/2/3 look like SCAT I/O, more commonly used in EU.
Lot of the "cable" programming over there comes through that interface from the box.

this is why we need to keep increasing core counts in mainstream CPUs
so devs can create games with more realistic physics

If they can managed to fully utilised all cores

AMD’s Renoir APU is scary if you are Intel, but its successor could be terrifying. I dive into a set of information I have received that points to insane competition in the mobile market later this year!
- 0:07 Intro to AMD’s Current Position in Laptops
- 2:32 Next Gen APU...
interesting rumor
hey I'm all about that!
8-core mobile APU with 24 Navi compute units, all in a 15W TDP
APU's are a great inovation as is
I just can't see an APU performing at RX 580/5500XT levels within a 15W power limit lol
that's real magic
i believe in the future
4300 mhz ram compatable
24 compute units....lol
whats intel gonna do now?
not sure if i should get 5600xt, 5700, or 5700xt
usually the 5700 goes on sale for $300
only buying through amazon because of gift cards
better spend that money on something else.
its unlike the price from Amazon gets cheaper than local pc store, unless you use bought it via some sort of cashback
if you have to get it from amazon, check out if you can pick the 3rd parties local computer parts retailers
i usually get stuff if they have cash back events on
this is how much i have saved so far. mostly from amazon
no
[NOT ADS] if your friend has made a purchase for over a certain amount of money, then you will get awarded for 15 buck. this is another way to save money buying electonic stuff, especailly expensive PC parts. this is how to save a bit more
I must mention it once more time. this isnt ads. if you have to make a purchase from amazon. this way can be cheaper with delivery services
Oh thats neat

Those who using 64gb ram please suicide
64GB of ram has its uses @prime jasper
any workstation subject will use more than 64gb of ram
R u sure
a lot of video editing stations have 128gb of ram
For gamers 12gb is enough
id go 16 but yeah for gaming 64 is overkill
but what you said about 64gb of ram to start with is false
because that much ram will be needed in some parts of computing
"You have lost connection to the session."
@supple bane For DDR4, 12gb is a pretty weird amount to buy indeed (likely 3x4gb). It's always better to get an amount that will run completely in dual channel (2,4,...). Only really see 12gb in pre-builts.
ik?
It isn't too long ago people used to say 8gb was enough either.
i got 32gb of ram coz the game i usually play uses 27GB out of 32GB RAM from the system
i meant Cities Skylines
the strongest i9 cant even run Cities Skylines well
i meant for a well built up city
Cities skylines is probably one of the hardest games to run (memory and CPU wise), despite how it looks. Especially if you mod it.

GeForce Now has >300ms of input delay
yikes
Nvidia's response to the RX 5950XT
no info on whether that massive die is on 12nm or 7nm
but at that size, 7nm yields would be so low that you couldn't really make a sellable product out of it because they'd only yield a few hundred per month lol
more likely that's still 12nm and I think it could be the 2080Ti Super or maybe just a datacenter GPU
@buoyant mesa
@latent light "GeForce Now has >300ms of input delay" wouldn't that depend on internet speeds?
well that dude's got 1 Gbps internet
what about bit rate settings?
it seems that the lowest latency possible is 300ms
if you play at 30 fps, there's a delay of 9 frames, at 60 fps there's a delay of 18 frames and so on
👍
hmmm...how the hell is that playable at 300ms latency?
it's playable in most singleplayer games
@sinful mantlei have a video for you
😱
hi
Hi
hes not even connected directly to ethernet.
Zen3 (Ryzen 4000) is looking to be as big of a jump as Zen2, maybe bigger due to the fact that they're getting rid of the 4-core CCX design and making pure 8-core chiplets and unifying L3 cache on each chiplet is gonna make a massive improvement for core communication and cache/memory latency
@sinful mantle he's got a $400 router in every room of the house
yeah but he says its gotten beter after going straight to router with ethernet'
did you watch the end results?
He optimize his monitor and refresh rate as well as going straight to router...he thinks it's cool now?
and said hes impressed by the service
still ridiculous amounts of input lag
133ms is high although more than playable, still that's on internet most people can only dream of.
I wouldn't be playing an online shooter with that delay
No, but it's okay for sp I think
yeah well illbet it gets much better in the future as it is the "whey"....lol
all games will be played ths way after we get our promised 10Gps speeds
Say that to all to everyone who doesn't have access to fiber (or it's overpriced in their area).
fiber will be everywhere soon
you can't really improve that latency, you are literally being physically limited by how far data has to travel in networks and fiber lines
Guys, my gpu fan broke down, and my laptop's power switch. It can turn on and everything, but without that fan I am afraid that the gpu will burn, and I don't know how much that switch is necessary.
2 months without playing bv.
Hey guys. I need to ask a question from the tech guys. What controller is best for xbox one? My controllers are kinda getting worned out.
official xbox one controller is the best
Okay. I heard that Elite Controllers are good. But idk.
the cheaper ones you see not made by Microsoft usually have cheap analog sticks and left/right bumpers
👌
@desert bear replace the fan?
@desert bear GPU will throttle itself to prevent from burning, but without a fan it's gonna throttle the performance a ton
get your hands dirty an open that sukka up!
@sinful mantle
People wanting RX 5900XT to be way more powerful than the 2080Ti but don't realize that every CPU currently in the market will bottleneck it unless you're playing at high resolution
even the i9-9900K can bottleneck the 2080Ti in some games at 1080p
I'm good with my FX 8350 and my GTX 960
ill update when bf6 comes out...we all will have to
anyone buying over priced cards and cpus now will regret it then...imo
Remember that unidentified Radeon GPU leak in that VR benchmark that had 17% higher score than the highest scoring 2080Ti and 40% higher than the average 2080Ti?
That was a real confirmed benchmark

check this little guy out: https://www.newegg.com/p/1VK-003W-00072

i cant even join games
it says i got disconnected whenever i try to join a game
helllppppppp
can someone help me
with the disconnectiojn
nice, not being able to play a game
due to shitty issues that i cant do anything about
like audio fuckups and being disconnected if i try to join a game
trash game
what is your nat type?
uhhh find out your ip and type that in
ill check how to check my nat type
Yea
errrr the prefered nat type USED to be 2
ok
Yea it should be open
ok
i havent looked this up in years so i dont remember. i used to play games that had problems with internet and learned my nat type should be 2 and ever since i never had problems
dont understand where i change it
come to general and help me
im streaming
guess not
but i cant join any game ffs
waste of money this game si
is
you type your ip into a browser, normally log into your routers ui and change it somewhere in there
so look up your router ip

thanks for trying to help guys

found a Dell Optiplex with an i5-3570 and 8GB ram for $31 in a bid wit 22 hours left
I wanna see if I can grab it with $50 or less
put a GTX 1650 in it and sell it for profit
NVIDIA Ampere GPUs will have 2x faster RTX and re-engineered Tensor cores
@latent light How can you find a Low profile 1650
they exist
although getting a used 1050Ti for ~$100 would be better value
1650 is only 25% faster than a 1050Ti
@latent light noice mate
I got a similar optiplex a couple years back but ended up using it just for the CPU
it's funny that people sell those old locked i7 CPUs for $100 on ebay when you can just get a new Ryzen 5 1600 for like $80

people actually bidding that much for a 7700K
yikes
just get a R5 3600 bro

I guess it's a matter of what mobo you have too
if you own a 7400, 7500 or 7600K, just sell it and the motherboard for like $150 and throw in that $200 and get a B450 MAX and R5 3600
with current sales you could get a X570
think this is worth?
trying to do the cheapest Mini-ITX build I can find
gonna put a used $60 i7-3770 in it

Hey I tried to wash off my graphics card with water and it stopped working, anyway to fix this?

bag of rice
capacitors would be dead
@prime jasper you're joking ...right?
damn thats a fuckin deal maN
dude might not have been joking about cleanin g his card off with water....i was at a marina when a guy tried to syphone gas out of his boats tanks with a vacuum cleaner.
i mean, i just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why my headphones arent working, just to find they werent plugged in
people do some stupid stuff some times
After I overclocked my GPU too much, my monitor went into a weird color. Tried restarting my PC but it still goes black
Like it works for a few seconds
but then boom
Any help?
Man I really want a PC but spending 600-700 just to play games is not appealing
you dont have to spend that much
500 at a minimum
which lets be fair, isnt too far off a brand new console and you get so many more features than a console
500 bucks for 1080p 60-80 fps
highest settings
Can it do Davinci Recode?
im not sure. but that shouldnt be your main priority for a budget build
nvidia and intel simply dont offer components that fit in that price range
Can it do COD MW and RDR2 well?
Welp maybe one day I will build one and get an decent SSD
i have a slightly slower system than that and i play at 1440p without issues
same cpu and slightly slower gpu
A 2nd hand PC with 8400+1070ti for 600 dollars is it worth it?
My local department offer one
that seems cheap tho, i wanna see the listing
that card alone is like 400-500 new iirc
on amazon the 1070 ti is £300
oh ok
i5 8400
Ripjaws 16GB 2666Mhz 2x8GB
Asrock B360M Pro4
Crucial MX500 500GB
Gigabyte 1070ti Gaming OC
Andyson Venus 650W
Sound goos?
theres nothing wrong with it, no
Oh I need monitor as well
those can also be had second hand
Man I wish I could transfer my games to PC
@supple bane Is 1070ti Freesync supported?
I don't know how well it will run RDR2
I got RTX 2070, i7-8700 and 16gb RAM. I only manage like 60fps on high settings and it drops to 30/40 in Saint Denis
On 1080p
But RDR2 haven't been optimised yet
all cards work with freesync, its just the monitor that has to support it
Technically NVIDIA cards need gsync and you can force freesync monitors to run on them but with varying success
@river wyvern get a GTX 1650 Super instead of an RX 580
Nvidia has a much better encoder
that used PC is probably the best option
just put another SSD in it, preferably a 1TB because there's only 500GB of storage
@lofty light I did that a few days ago.
I realised the brand new DP cable I bought from the computer hardware store was faulty. Got it Swapped out, and now g sync is working on my free sync monitor with adaptive sync enabled
@latent light Welp thanks
My wallet gotta bow to this PC
So, I´ve been playing bf1 for 4-5 months and I was thinking about buying bfv, my pc doesnt meet the minimum requirements for bf1 or bfv that are literally the same (i think), however I am able to play bf1 at some stable 40-60 fps 1280x720 (low settings and scalling 90%).
I´m not expecting the same framerate as i had in bf1 but something simmilar i guess as the requirements are similar
Did u guys noticed a big fps difference between these two?
My specs:
Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4800MQ CPU @ 2.70GHz
Graphics card : NVIDIA Quadro K2100M 2.0 GB (Yes I know it isnt meant for gaming)
Ram: 8.0 GB
bfv is much more intensive than bf1,
you would probs have to play at lower than 720p
you can try a trial of bfv maybe or get origin access for a month for about $5 usd to try bfv
or wait for a sale
make sure you try enabling and disabling future frame rendering when you try bfv
well for him he will want it on
depends how good the gpu is doing I think, if it can render faster than the target framerate then it should be good
@weary ruin maybe because of the quadro
im running fine with 40fps 50% screen resolution 720p
gt-730 ddr3 version
how is 720p at 50% resolution scale even playable
I'd rather stab myself in the eyes
I imagine it looks worse than if they ported the game to the Xbox 360 lmao
Yeah i guess that it could actually run
why dont you just throw it on and see how it looks instead of imagining haha @latent light
it will look even worse on my monitor lmao
@weary ruin buy a cheap older nvidea graphics card (GTX 960?) and get 8 more gigs of matching ram...set your graphics to custom setting (not low) and you're good.
He would be better off going second hand amd for that budget, and a new cpu would be needed
yeah but thats the problem i can increase the ram memory but the graphics card its a relly complicated thing because i play on a laptop
something that is weird is that bf1 only takes 3 gb of ram with 1-2 gb free to use, probably in bf v it would be a totally different story
Ah
Yeah there ain't much you can do
@sinful mantle that cpu really doesnt cut it for bfv
Well paired with a gpu like that it wouldn't matter, but if it wanted to upgrade (which he cant) it wouldn't be able to keep up
actually im not that familiar with intel processors (I'v always used AMD) I just thought the i7 was a good line.
Yeah but there are a wide range of i7's
Going from like i7 750 all the way up to i7 9700k
An cpu that probs wouldn't even launch with most games and a cpu which is one of the fastest out there
True, I wouldn't want to run BFV on a first gen i7.
good info
It will be playable, but really stuttery.
Yo! I reinstalled my windows on my C: drive.
Battlefield V was installed on D:.
Since Origin was on C: too, I installed it again but now it doesn`t recognizes that Battlefield V is installed... even if the path in the libary is correct
Reinstall bf then
does $500 sound like a fair price for: Ryzen 5 1600, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming 3, 16GB 2666MHz RAM, RX 580 8GB, 256GB NVMe SSD, 1TB HDD, 650W PSU, 24 inch 1080p 60hz monitor
used R5 1600 for $70, B350 board for $50, 16GB ram for $40, RX 580 for $120, 256GB NVMe for $30, 1TB HDD for $20, 650W PSU for $30, case for $40, 24' monitor for $50
adds up to $450
yeah the cable management is good, PSU is modular and cables are zip-tied in the back
If all the stuff adds up to 450 second hand I wouldn't charge more than that
Heck id charge 450 lol
Lowest offer being 400
NZXT case?
Is it a good idea to overclock a ryzen 7 1700? I only use the pc for watching netflix and dedicated streaming pc
Which is the best overall airflow method (push, pull, or static) for keeping the PC cool? I have the Corsair H100i (2x120mm radiator) so I'll need to mount it either on top or in the front. Also, which cases would you recommend?
additional fans along with the 2x120?
there's also a 120mm exhaust
I find 2 or 3 fans intake and 1 exhaust is the best way
was talking about veccs question, id imagine top mounting the rad in that situation is best?
fans pulling through the rad, otherwise wouldnt it be blowing "hot" air into the system from the front
wouldn't use the bottom for exhaust
ah top and bottom
Bottom is intake
so uh
wilhelm should take notes about that case height off the floor
PS5 and Xbox SX will crush mid-range PCs
^
how midrannge?
yeah
Like you sitting on a pony and the PS5 is driving a ferrari
xbox sx? thats what theyre going with
Xbox SX is supposed to have 2nd gen Navi with 56 compute units and 12 TFlops of raw GPU performance, PS5 will have 1st gen Navi and 9 TFlops
no report on frequencies though
fuck there goes my pc running current games
both will have a Zen2 based 8 core/16 thread CPU
ima just wait for them to actually come out and see the tech reports instead of speculation
the CPU and GPU aren't speculation
well performance numbers
well fuck my pc can't run the newest games then shit
only thing we don't really know is the amount of RAM and exactly how much storage they will have, although they will have SSDs
