Short answer Freeze, yes. A gaming laptop will provide good performance. Just make sure it has an SSD in it and see if you can find one that doesn't weigh a ton. Otherwise you'll be stuck with some cheap laptop that'll be useless in a few years.
If you can actually find a place that builds them/custom that's really great. We had a local spot where they'd build you a custom one and that thing lasted forever. I used it for college (3d art) and it was destroying the alienware/mac users beside me.
The problem with a lot of "casual" oriented laptops is they are often overpriced because people assume you have no idea what you're looking for, or they'll lack an SSD which is probably the single largest factor in your speed on a laptop these days for casual use.

switch connects from front and back and see if theres a difference

theres also drivers and of course your speakers/headphones that could be suspect as well

But it seems to go to sleep, even with sleep modes disabled, and when I wake it up, it'll either freeze instantly (no windows 10 login text field for the PIN) or it'll start and crash within about 30 seconds. I did update bios. And the problems seemed to come back once win10 updated after doing the reinstall. They had low player count in countries like Australia. Yes they didn't have as many as Conquest (for example) than in Frontlines and Domination but they would still have at least 10 to 30 servers all the time each! Just because it didnt draw as many people as the running simulator Conquest is, does not mean Dice should ruin the game for thousands of people that loved Frontlines and Domination!!

go into origin , rightclick bfv, go to game properties, advanced launch options, and paste this there:

this disables alot of extra reflections and shadows, and tones down lighting
also go into the nvidia control panel and make a custom resolution of 1920x960.
this is basically 1080p but with black bars on the top and bottom. it will still look sharp and give u more fps since ur gpu doesnt need to do work in the black areas.

These stutters are caused by the CPU when its usage is on 100%, but your ryzen should be capable to handle bf5
and limit your framerate to your monitors refresh rate, so you get more stable frametimes

As granty said you can use HDMI for that refresh and res, but HDMI is notoriously fussy both with the cables and the ports
Display port is practically guaranteed to work at that res and refresh, and dvi-d still works great, the main reason it was fazed out is the size of the port is ridiculous
