how a cpu works is it takes instructions from the code in your harddrive and temporarily stores the data on ram. it then takes instructions from the ram and processes it
so in theory, the slower the cpu, the less ram needed

I run the i7-9700K with 32GB DDR4 with a GTX 1060 6GB. I’ve always been a fan of having more rather than less.
I picked up hobbies such as video editing and making music so having the extra horsepower and a beefy CPU is really convenient for me. It’s all about future potential.

Is it a known issue that BFV switches to a different resolution if you select a custom created resolution in the Nvidia Control Panel? I'm trying to run 3440x1440 on my 5120x1440 monitor, but when i select the custom created resolution, it changes to 3840x1080 which is a different option.
I've tested the res in BF4 and have no problems there.

For anyone that can help me, I recently bought Battlefield 5 because it was on sale on the Origin Store and i know for certain it doesn't play well on my pc because I have an i5-7600k and I followed a fps boost which makes the game run on low settings but it doesnt bother me at all. To my question, Everytime I play, Discord runs fine but I can't talk at all when I play this game. I don't know if its a setting in the game or something thats making it mess up but I can't talk at all when I'm in a channel on Discord when the game is running. Hopefully there is a solution to this and that I can possibly have this resolved.

it basically treats each point as if they were individual temperature and fan targets, but doesn't auto generate any points between the ones you specify.
so if you end up setting it up like 50% fan at 60 C and 60% fan at 65 C, it will stay at 50% fan until it hits 65 C then immediately jump to 60%. If 60% brings it back below 65 C by even 1 degree, it will drop back to 50%, heat up again, and essentially bounce between fan speeds.

referring back a few hours, I wouldn't run discord or any other streaming/chat service in conjunction with BFV on a low end CPU, if you can, run discord from your phone or a laptop, your games performance will improve significantly.

not entirely true,depends on the mobo,quad chan ram on a server destroys the r5 pretty much,and the 5820k overclocks very very good
i used a 5820k as hedt for 2 years and as server afterwards,oc'ed to 5ghz all core with ease on water,and 4.7 on air
but depends on your usage profile as server aswell,if it's only some small stuff with not much parallel access it doesen't matter at all

pay attention to the frame rate and graphic settings always when monitoring temps pls
some games might heat more than others that are heavier if they run at significantly higher frame rate
also depends on how much % of your gpu the game uses
if csgo used 100% of gpus itd run at a thousand fps and heat more than bfv or witcher 3 or whatever

Also changing the resolution in the prosave_profile file simly changes the res to 3440x1440 when I start the game.
