pretty normal for AMD on battlefield
get 750-850 watt psu @signal forge
dude
you can run a 9900k and a 2080ti
off of a 400w psu
Don't make him spend a ton extra to buy a PSU he doesn't need
I mean, go ahead and get it if you want to look cool and burn money
I've got an 850W platinum one just because the colour suited my build
ive got a 750w
imagine not owning a case with a psu shroud
smh
so I noticed this
the MSI OC lab
did ddr4 5774
on a 4 dimm board
a fucking 4 dimm board
Intel barely manages that on dedicated memory overclocking boards
and its fucking 1t?
The world record is only 100mhz more and its using 3t and much looser timings

btw
400w psu couldn't run a 2080ti and 9900k
9900K pulls 180 watts on boost, 2080ti like 300 watts on boost

wouldn't go below 600W
uh
2080ti is 260w
and a 9900k should only be doing like 150w stock if you force the power limits
Now from what I understand
The RT / tensor cores fuck the power limit and spike a lot
so not recommended
doesn't Vega spike a lot too
iirc yes
My old case didn't have a shroud, it was around the time they only started being a thing so 🤷
lol, a PSU shroud. I've no need for that, although I guess I can see why someone might want it to hide stuff away.
easier access without PSU shroud
PSU shroud is most useful when you have a non-modular PSU
Seems like a component to soak up heat as well rather than remove it from the case.
I run an open case anyways though, everything is quite naked. I'm good with that, don't really care about any fancy cosmetics tbh.
I have a non-modular PSU with many of the access cables cut off and the cut ends are covered with liquid electrical tape lol
not in my main PC though
Oh wow. That sounds more or less dangerous, lol.
no chance of harm the way I cut and covered it tbh
It doesn't make any difference in heat
And I have zero reason to access my psu generally
Well I guess I lose a fan
But it doesn't make much of an impact in overall temps
Dunno
So it looks like the 3900x is trading blows with the 9900k
3700x for gaming is where it's at, I'll be getting that CPU if Intel doesn't drop prices
I'm waiting for B550 motherboards

my B350 is enough for even a stock Ryzen 9 but I want better memory support
I feel I should get ryzen either way too support competition
I'm looking at the 3900x mainly so I'll have no trouble streaming whilst playing
3rd gen Ryzen power consumption is incredible
Ryzen 5 3600X matches i7-8700K in performance but draws like 50% less power
Tbh that says just as much about Intel and their process in the last few years
BIOS issues affecting Ryzen 3000 boost clocks on most motherboards, should be fixed shortly

I fixed it. Thank you.
I didn't knew which cable to plug in.
Can anyone experienced in battlefield games quickly help me? It shouldn't take long
Just ask, maybe someone will jump to answer
so reviews for 3600(x) coming out and they are looking good as well
no reason to get previous zens with how cheap those are
is there going to be any patches for some of the current bugs that going on right now ??
no they are gonna purposefully keep them all in
...
of course there will be a patch ya goof
you sure they keep adding new ones with every update
@latent light yeah I saw the forum post on overclocker.net or whatever when he first posted it
that is semi expected
it would be more appropriate
Did you hear about the separate chiplet design on 3rd gen helps with heat transfer
Ryzen 9 3900X at 4GHz all cores stayed under 70C in stress test with stock cooler

The title says it all. Can you pair a 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X with a cheap B350 motherboard? Honestly, it all depends on the vendor. I found a few "stable" Zen...
3900X power draw is pretty low
then again, majority of reviews have bugged BIOS versions that don't let the CPUs reach their normal boost clock
neat

what parts you going for ?
no storage?
nor fans
also, why would you go with the 9900k
honestly tho ^
yeah 9900K just became irrelevant
zen 2 is maybe like 10000000000000x better ?
purely gaming would go with 9700k too
also don't spend that much on a PSU, it takes years for you to save money on a platinum PSU
might as well spend the extra $60 and get a 9900k
over a 9700k
if hes purely gaming theres no reason
unless you want worse performance for spending more
to what? get the same performance as the 9700k?
better performance
and when games start using more threads, you can enable it again
If the 9700k cost 30% less than a 9900k, I would recommend it
but it doesn't
costs less for more performance unless you want to tweak shit to probably get barely better performance
sounds silly to me
if feel sorry for rephii now, we just took a massive shit on his build
I would get a 3700X over both for the sake of temperatures and noise level
😦
broke rephii's heart y'all
Disabling hyperthreading 101
Find the advanced setting tab, click CPU config, and set it to off
@winged tapir I would recommend a cheaper PSU, if you want to buy a 9900k that's on you
but I would watch some Zen 2 reviews
I dont wanna go AMD tbh
Just a comparison between no hyper threading vs hyper threading on the 9900k 8 core 16 thread CPU. ReLive Capture @ up to 3.5% to 8% performance hit with gpu...
Zen 2 reviews aren't accurate because everyone is using the bugged BIOS that doesn't let the CPUs run at rated boost clocks
seems perf difference is pretty weak
Zen 2 reviews are fine
You are going to gain performance not lose it
when they fix the bios
I think some manufacturers have patches already
why did I start that topic again 😓
Asus shipped a BIOS that cheated the power draw

9900k with or without hyperthreading has roughly same fps, so why get that over saving money for a 9700?
not everyone is just gaming?
@winged tapir
(which gets same to better performance)
That board requires a BIOS update to use Zen 2
@steep gust thats why i said from the beginning PURELY for gaming
so unless he has a second PC and the motherboard supports BIOS flashback
yes well all boards do right ?
X570 doesn't
oki

I like PCs
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/qrK6YT this would be a much better option for you
I like nuclear weapons too but...
@winged tapir go with this PSU https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/y4TPxr/be-quiet-pure-power-11-700-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-bn295
its not modular, his was i think
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/6HcWxG @winged tapir

That PSU is really fucking good
rephii now has like 10 links to look through
all have a ventus 2080ti...
my main gripe is the ventus
only so many white GPUs
2080 super will have small gains over 2080
the hall of fame is super limited production and ugly asfk
it's a 2080Ti with way less cores
(thats why i dont let color determine my build)
dont buy a ventus if you go above 2070
id rather have a decent looking build with same performance that cost me 200 bucks less in total because i didnt have to get certain colors
yeah I want all white but there hasn't been any white Ryzen boards since the B350 tomahawk arctic

There is the $1000 X570 Aqua
200 might be a bit extreme
only 999 X570 Aquas are being made
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/user/Rephii/saved/#view=FGstpg So I changed PSU and CPU
haven't got a response
@latent light currently 1 has been made
try to buy one
or find a product page
There aren't any white motherboards
yea as long as you change gpu that list looks fine to me

I would wait on super
even if its not gonna replace the 2080ti
prices should change
you plan on doing any streaming?
purely gaming, get 9700k, anything more than just gaming get a ryzen cpu
ahh nvm you doing the professional streaming set up

I can't really justify the 9700K, 3700X matches it for less money and has double the threads

does the 9700k and 9900k still get more fps for gaming than the amd cpus?
gaps a lot closer, but not gone
depends on games too
also you can overclock the 9700k / 9900k
currently overclocking / PBO is busted on Zen 2
BIOS updates are rolling out
assuming rephii waits for super to come out we have some time
there was speculation that Ryzen 3rd gen CPUs would come out before the X570 motherboards
and it was almost true apparently, because no motherboard manufacturers had a stable BIOS
The BIOS work fine
for running the CPUs
Maybe the CPUs just aren't going to overclock at all
gamers nexus is going to have to revisit their reviews
could be broken, doesnt mean the fix is gonna dramatically change anything
just have to wait and see
2080 super coming 23rd
also now looking at Prime day and maybe ordering the first parts if they get any cheaper
just get things like ram, psu, storage, and case when they are cheap
23rd of Jul or Aug?
Jul
if amd overclocks a lot better with the bios fix that could be an option
its not going to overclock better
PBO might work
but all core is not going to go above 4.3-4.4
They are at the limit of the process already and it needs to mature
Guessing we see a new revision in like 6 months
probably at CES
Zen 2+ isn't on the roadmap but who knows
oh i mean like R0 /P0 on 9900k
not Zen 2+
I would wait 1 month before buying Ryzen 3rd gen
is it possible for the audio ports on different motherboards to be louder or quieter than a different motherboard ?
because on my old board i would never have been able to have my headset on max, windows on max, and spotify on max, without becoming legally deaf
yes, due to differences in DACs/Amps and the output thereof
on this one its perfectly fine
kinda annoying really, because i love some loud music, and now i cant without an amp
yea just depends on the amp
of course headphone impedance/sensitivity
(but i assume you are using the same headphone)
yup
i do have an amp, sort of
its built into a speaker i have
but i tend not to use it
Hey i'm not sure if this is the right place, but I'm looking for a really good router for the price. I'm in college so I won't be looking to spend over $100 for a router, but can anyone recommend one?
Mine is kinda ass and I cant take it much more
best bang for buck when i was looking at router (like 4 years ago now) was the tp link archer c7
Real time benchmark comparison of the Ryzen 9 3900X vs Intel i9 9900K in 7 games! All games tested at 1080p HIGh settings. JP Merch Shop: http://bit.ly/Joker...
per this for gaming the best the 3900x is barely beat the 9900k
looks more common that the 9900k has a decent fps increase
@latent light Its not really a fair comparison to match clocks
Intel could easily lower clocks
and increase IPC
then....why didnt they?
well...I guess that bit them in the ass now
The 3900x right now gets bad 1% and 0.1% FPS compared to the 9900k since games handle the CCX / multiple dies poorly
if you force games to only use one die / few ccx you have less issues
For 3rd gen Ryzen clock speeds: Early BIOS used by reviewers was limiting the boost clock. No one was able to get more than 4.3GHz with the 3900X. But MSI released a new BIOS update today and people are getting boost clock between 4.5-4.65 GHz now. AnandTech tweeted that they're redoing all their tests and will upload it tomorrow.

so people are getting up to 4.65 GHz with the 3900X now
basically all tech youtube channels are going to make another video

im sick of seeing this shit now tbh
launch not being max performance?
so has intel closed its doors yet?
seems like they should amd only good thing around anymore
always need the competition

is this a new trend
putting heatsinks from older cards onto new cards

if they have a use, this is it
$15/month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, $10/month for Xbox Game Pass (PC or console version though PC is $5 a/month for beta).

will look into it thanks

@quaint topaz fifine 660k is my go to cheaaaap mic recommendation, as well as the samsom go, and mini mic. if youre talking snowball money you can get a decent XLR set up that sounds better than all the above
:+1:
iirc the recommended cheap xlr set up was a behringer um2 interface, with some shure p28 mic and a pop filter, i think it came out to 75 bucks last i looked
Thanks 😃
Is a blue snowball still worth it in 2019? In this video I'll do a Blue Snowball mic test and also compare it to the Shure SM58 mic test. Disclaimer: I recor...

Don't think I'm ever getting an amd or gigabyte graphics card ever again
but that 5700 price to performance ratio
I'm crashing on the splash screen for portal 2
Second time doing a DDU
so driver issues means you don't buy AMD cards

AMD and bad software launches
name something more iconic
peanut butter and chocolate
ham and cheese>peanut butter and chocolate
ham and cheese is waack
This is the second time I'm doing this
@odd goblet I've got a Gigabyte RX 580, had problems with it for a month but it was windows conflicting with radeon software
it fixed itself on its own eventually
my brother has a Gigabyte Vega 56, he had to RMA it
Gigabyte makes bad AMD cards
the only Gigabyte AMD card I've seen with good reviews is the RX 570
Gigabyte makes also bad nvidia cards,i own one of those
crappy bios and crappy fans
was my first and last gigbyte card
never had to flash a gfx card before cause they fucked it up
twice
I think gigabyte doesn't test most of their cards long enough
they look nice tho
they probably plop it into a test system for 2-3 minutes and pull it out and package it

seems like it very much
well they don't do that to test GPUs
They use a socket-able thing and run a basic stress test thing to find freq
the gpu is fine, their egineering is utter crap
that i can agree with
they just don't sometimes
but that'^s about all
I mean every company has bad products
FEs / reference PCBs from NVidia were shit before pascal
they just happen to have the most bad ones lul
you still hear about 980TIs failing since a mosfet exploded
for AMD, only get Sapphire, XFX, Asus, MSI
NVidia has dual GPUs
ah
and reference PCBs might have similar problems
never owned one of those
ye generally reference PCB was avoided pre-pascal
NVidia locked down the power limit enough now that it doesn't matter
had a 980ti from asus,strix i think ? for the longest time,awesome card
Probably a strix
I like my strix 1080
wish the BIOS was unlocked by factory
but flashing the XOC BIOS isn't hard
Ok
wtf,is it true,destiny 2 dosen't run with ryzen 2 at all ?`
Asus made a 980ti strix, matrix, sold an FE, and the Poseidon
matrix was really expensive and so was the Poseidon
Well, I was about to say something like "I configured EVERYTHING in wattman and I'm going to try again"
Computer crashed the SECOND the window opened
Not even over clocking
I can boot my RAM so unstable that just sitting on desktop will crash windows in a few minutes
Now that's fun
playing with portals
one of the best games ever
I can run Garry's Mod and CS:GO just fine
All on high as well
But Portal 2 and Payday 2 just crash
At least I can complete a heist on pd2 tho
2 different game engines
Minecraft also has no problem running mods that make the game look better.
weird
I'm heavily debating on selling this graphics card and getting a new AMD card or SOMETHING
"Default Wattman system settings have been restored because of a system failure"
you got an igpu ?
No idea what that means
integrated gfx part on the cpu
its a mini graphics card inside the cpu
like most intel do
I have one on the motherboard
nah,inside the cpu
Don't know for sure on the CPU, I'll find out
really weak one
but enough to run portal
to test it
but you would have to switch off your main card
in bios
The fact that AMD crashes on running a game this old is laughable
Like a 2070 crashing on fucking DooM or Dwarf Fortress
in only have one game that crashes, bfv
Radeon settings is not responding, great
Ironically, the games that say "Require Upgrade" run far better than games that say "Fully Compatible"
don't use those settings
i thought amd drivers did improve greatly over the last few years ?
Default settings it crashes, any settings I change, it crashes
Updated the drivers, did a full uninstall and reinstall
Twice actually
I've changed every setting to "Performance"...
do you even need wattman ?
can't you just run the pure gfx drivers and nothing else
imo it's the overclocking tool
It's the power settings for it, pretty much
You can set it to overclock, but I have it set so to Automatic, which everyone says is preferred when I go to different websites for performance
dunno, you might need someone with amd knowledge here
for gfx
can't help with that atm
only left amd card i got is in an ancient laptop
I'm just gonna play Battlefield V on my Xbox now, this is taking way too long and it's my day off
Wattman is generally used for overclocking
Yeah uhh still didn't work
When I upgrade, I am going to be using an NVidia card I guess
Don't think I can trust AMD whatsoever
I wouldn't trust gigglebyte
^
Try seting the core offset to like -100
it might be trying to run unstable settings for portal 2
I tried to RMA my Gigabyte card when I noticed it was defective, Gigabyte wanted me to ship my whole PC to them so they could troubleshoot it
would of been like $50+ shipping
and I wouldn't of had a PC for 2 weeks
Core Offset... uhh only thing I can set below 0 is I think Power Limit
Oh uhh, Frequency too
Least I can set it is to -61
Let's see if it crashes when I hear "DIN.... DUN...."
sometimes older games have trouble with new cards
It's a 550
"You are about to install Portal 2" Wait what
like garbage displaylogic, displayports dying (means the core is probably dying), etc
wait
verify game files
inb4 the game was corrupted or something
7 out of 12 of them were DOA though
You have one lazy employee, bad part, etc
and the entire batch that day is now doa
and people bought hundreds of GPUs to mine and zero were doa
Gigglebyte makes literally thousands of GPUs
he got a refund on those 7 and then bought 20 Sapphire Vega 56s, none of the Sapphire were DOA
the only Gigabyte product I ever bought that wasn't defective in any way was a $70 GT 1030

Never had any issues with gigabyte
ive had multiple friends have gigabyte mb's and gpus with no problems
Alright, trying Portal 2 with -61 Frequency
Among the release of AMD's new 3000 series processors came two new APU's, the most powerful being the 3400G. Essentially a Zen+ refresh the 3400 is clocked s...
5 minutes!
I've made it 5 minutes
Still going
Okay, pretty sure setting Frequency that low is what fixed it
So I want to build a PC, I want it mostly for programming and university, but also for casual gaming and don't wanna spend too much on it so:
i5 8400
GTX 1050ti
Gigabyte H310
8gb RAM DDR4
Is that good enough?
well i see one issue right away...you have intel and nvidia components
Good enough for what?
dont want to spend too much on it
intel/nvidia
wrong on both counts
Really depends on the programming you gonna do and games you gonna play
@broken forge we just need a budget really
im getting the 8400 here for 200 bucks, which is the same price as the 3600
long story short, get the 3600 over the 8400 if they are the same price without a doubt
Thing is
I live in Argentina
So the prices wont be the same
Everything costs like 2x here
Lets say 600 USD
Or 700 USD at max
I am used to intel and nvidia names, so I don't really know about anything AMD
amds new cpus are easily the best choice if you are doing anything other than gaming as well, especially if youre on a budget
youll probably end up getting something like a 1660 to fit the budget
thought AMD and GTX didnt match
theres no problems mixing brands, they are separate components
Aight thx
problem is that there could be a huge difference in price between components from here to there
if you can swing 25 bucks for 725 usd total this is what i would go with
but i would look into the ryzen 1600/2600 prices there as welll
at 1080p
@plain vessel I would aim with AMD for budget stuff, it crushes Intel's offerings on low end IMO
I'm sure they already made that one clear enough but its important to drive the point
hello i have a ssd kingston 240gb a400, i are downloading bf1, and the ssd by self put in 100% usage sometimes , and his time response rise up to 350 ms 600ms its new , someone can know what is happening?

average slightly weighted in favor of these reviews with a higher number of benchmarks
not included any 3DMark & Unigine benchmarks
results from Zen 2 & Coffee Lake CPUs all in the same results sphere, just a 7% difference between the lowest and the highest (average) result
on average the Ryzen 7 3700X is +28.5% faster than the Ryzen 7 1700X
on average the Ryzen 7 3700X is +15.9% faster than the Ryzen 7 2700X (on nearly the same clocks)

No idea what y'all are talking about, I play on ps4
:d @thorn marlin
😂
so 3200 ram is the sweet spot for ryzen2?
3600c16 or 3733c17
Im just going off what AMD said
lol god damnit
from that video and what i just read 3200 is the sweet spot with good timings
im at 1440p so this doesnt really matter
@storm osprey That is super super flawed
because sub timings play a massive roll
and 2t for CJR
I run 3600 15-19-19-38 1t on CJR so they are intentionally limiting results
240mm AIO cooler included with X570 motherboard

my friend accidentally deleted the files off of a SD card and he wants to know how to recover them

Have anyone tested 3700x+2070 in bfv?
good pair
Has anyone got a 3700x yet even?
Or 3900x here
I have a 2700x, lol
Don't see much reason to upgrade this gen with only 15% increase, I'll wait another gen
For the CPU I was planning on getting, at least
I do need to upgrade my GPU though..
Do you think a 5700XT would be worth it, to upgrade from a 1070ti if I sold the 1070ti & put that money plus a bit more into getting the 5700XT? @lofty light
@vestal falcon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bmQPx9EJLA
I see people say not to get the 5700XT, but it comes toe to toe with the 2070 Super almost apparently, at $100 cheaper?
yeah
You'll want to get a partner cooler though
5700xt shutting down because it overheats on a game menu
...fix pls
We added some washers and thermal paste to the RX 5700 XT cooler to fix some of its previously dismal performance. Ad: Buy Corsair's Ironclaw Mouse (Amazon -...

Kinda a sad thing if that's actually a fix for it... nice testing guys
Actually does tho
yea im confused why its so cheap
didnt notice theres a bonus too
well i see why its cheap, the 5700xt matches or beats it in performance
for the same price
but atm since there are only blower style 5700xt's, a strix model asus 2070 with 2 games is a pretty damn good deal
Just wait on AIB 5700XT
yea 5700xt. i havent heard of it shutting down from cooling, but thats also because there are only blower style fans out now, which are doo doo
all AMD has to do with their reference cards is get plastic washers and then they can replace the thermal pad with paste

but the pad is better for the average user
it's pretty rare for someone to have a card for so long that the paste dries up
using washers to increase mounting pressure for the 5700XT dropped temperature by 8C
I find ASUS a bit overrated
they're always considered the high-end partner
but when it comes to cooling solutions, EVGA are usually better
I mean
It was one of the cheaper cards at the time
looks better than the FTW3
and has a beefy heatsink
this MX-4 paste I have is rated for 8 years.

does that mean 8 years until it dries up?
it just says "8 year durability" on the package
iirc, MX-4 is the 2nd best paste you can buy after Kryonaut
hydronaut might be better
and a few of the more "extreme" pastes
but those aren't meant for ambient usage
anyone dealt with a SG350X switch?
nope, but the solution is always the dumpster
yes, teleport it to the dumpster and reboot a new one
link too how to?
mate im 2 hours over the time i'm meant to leave the office and back in sunday...
the problem is I dont think too many networking nerds hang out here
yea outside of slightly more than basic home network stuff idk poo
get an intern to go unplug it
connecting via web interface?wtf, use a ssh terminal
Squid, https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-management/how-to-shutdown-the-cisco-devices/m-p/660461/highlight/true#M17159 this wouldn't do? It's an older guide but might check out...
the stability was better for a week...
@slate rivet You can't just SSH into it and "shutdown -s now"?
5700 XT
is nutty
also Vega 56s can be had for dirt cheap right now
defo worth looking into
I'd get this in a heartbeat if I were on a budget
@warm junco add morpheus II cooler on vega and itll rip off even low end custom loops
aios are hands down trashy against it
Managed too get it sorted @molten bramble thanks buddy
Hello, guys. I am buying a pc, can you help me to find a good cheap case?
I will buy a 1060 (3gb), intel pentium g4600, 8gb ddr4 at 2400 and the motherboard will be a gigabyte b250-hd3p
I mean he's using a Pentium
@jagged citrus have you bought that yet? It may be better to get one of the Ryzen APUs
So far as a case goes really whatever is cheapest
You can do so much better
every time i try to start battlefield 1 i get this DirectX error does anyone know what to do? https://i.imgur.com/z5mgaGT.png
DDU your driver
thx ill try those things
I changed it a bit in the meanwhile, I didnt bought anything yet
@steep gust thanks a lot i DDU't the drivers and it worked
Wait I cant send pictures?

Anyway wanna go with a ryzen 3 2200g, 8gb ddr4 at 2666, i have a 1tb hhd and a 240ssd and a 450watt power supply, the question is, what gpu should I pick?
I am thinking at a 1050ti, but a 1060 3gb sounds good too
Well its still a budget pc
I went for 500 euros max
Cant afford a 1660ti
The maximum budget for the gpu is 180€
i'd say the 1060 is a much better choice
Can you tell me why? I am not that good with the pcs, 1050ti has 1 more gb vram then the 1060 3gb

Ah
@jagged citrus The 1060 3GB version is only good if you have minimum 10-12gb ram
so if you go more than the VRAM limit the computer/game will use RAM.
6GBs of VRAM is what you want in 2019, for a GPU @jagged citrus
3GBs can't even run certain (select few) games/will have issues with them
Its deff usable but you could have possible issues, its one of those ify things
i dont have any issues lol
its perfectly fine for 1080p any settings you want
only game my 1060 struggles with is ark, and that doesnt really say much
Its like one of those "bare minimum" type things, you'd be better off getting a 6GB 1060
ye i fully agree that the 6gb is better lol. but the 3gb is still perfectly fine for most if not all games
tbh, you would be better off getting the rx 580 over any of them
all about that amd life bruv
Going forward in the future youd want to get a higher GB card just because thats the nature of new games
i agree, but my point is that, time being, 3gb is plenty
in most games, i see about 2.5gb of usage
you could buy a rx580 with 8 gb 😄
@plain bone If you run out of VRAM most games outright crash or run like shit as it pulls textures from storage
RX580 doenst have the compute performance to validate 8GB of VRAM
@steep gust nope, most games run like shit mostly because the real RAM usage is too high
Uhh I rarely ever see games use more than 8GB
And a lot of it is filler garbage the game doesn't really need
just a general quick question, 2060 Super or 5700XT?
5700xt is crap atm, to hot, to much power comsumption
uh
power consumption is perfectly fine
@queen ridge wait for AIB 5700XT
then buy one of those
compared to the 2060 super it has 50 watts more or not?
the original question was "just a general quick question, 2060 Super or 5700XT?"
i can agree with that
Try playing Rust with 8GBs of RAM
Big OOF
Or streaming while playing VR, or a couple other things, can't even do them with 8GBs
Well yea I want a decent budget pc, not a best pc
I am playing on my ps4 pro anyway
And I will probably buy ps4 when its gonna ne released
Thats why I am going with a ryzen 3 2200g combined with a 1050ti/1060 3gb (I think this two are the best to go for) and 8gb ram at 2666
Or I can just skip the videocard, get a better cpu and 16 giga of ram and buy a videocard later, but I doubt I will use the full power of that pc because the only thing that I am playing and planning to stream is league of legends, so the first pc shoul be enought
If ur only planing on league for now. I would definetly go more for CPU and RAM. AMD cards are cheaper anyway so a Radeon series should be enough combined with the AMD CPU ❤
@jagged citrus skip the GPU and get one of the new AMD APUs, specifically like a 3400G
@steep gust I was talking about the 1060 3GB and 1050Ti 2GB versions.

???
so where do i post these?
just tell me where i could post those so they can get banned ...
i did that already, months ago but they are still playing ...
that's quite fucked up isn't it?
in any other fps you can report them via reddit/discord
why not on this one?
ok
Whats a good budget graphics card
RX 570
What about the 580
that's good too
Do you know how many frames it brings in BFV on low settings
above 100
also depends on your CPU
if you only got a 4 core CPU, you're gonna stutter quite a bit
is my spec not suitable for the game or is the game unoptimised
?
gtx 1070 8gb i5 8400
the game has optimization issues
everyone does experience stutter, it's not what's destroying the game though
Quick fire, cpu cooler, under 60 pound , either 120mm aio or a air cooler, if it is an air cooler it needs to be single fan
ideally it has some form of lights too
doesn’t need to be rgb, I just want it to light up
@supple bane scythe fuma
you can remove a fan
Gois
I need help
Im getting ver low gpu usage
In every game
And i cant find any settings in tbe bios
Regarding a igpu
Its definitely not my cpu holding my gpu back
@steep gust what about that one ?
has a lot of heatpipes
the main reason in the one you sent might be a bit too big,
@vital zephyr iGPU is disabled by default
I’ll have to double check with that tho tomorrow
Buy a higher refresh rate monitor or a stronger gpu
I have a gtx 970
are those direct contact heatpipes? no
7600k?
I think
disable vsync and any frame caps
I do have it disabled
yes they are direct contact betrayed
But i mean i just have like 3-12 procent gpu usage and 80 procent cpu usage
you can see stuff under the heatpipes
it says they are in the description
Try a dedicated tech support server or google
this isn't tech support for mildly common problems

Kay

seems they are speaking a bag of bull shit
Maybe it isn’t on the edge, but as it gets towards the middle it is direct
dunno
I wouldn’t have taken deepcool to false advertise like that
I’ll watch some vids on it, see what the temps are like
I’m only cooling a 2600, so it doesn’t need to be amazing, I just want to get a bit of overclocking on it
ok, after watching some vids, that one isn’t looking promising
@supple bane I have that exact cooler on my 2700x, I have no issues to speak of
it is overkill for a 2600 though lol
the deep cool one ?
yes
and your clocks ?
PBO will ramp it up to about 4.15 all core under load
its a pretty hefty unit, definitely overkill for a 2600
hmm, I could either get that or the 120mm deep cool aio
A smaller 4/5 pipe cooler would work just fine too , these double tower ones arent the most aesthetic lol
wait so you cant use a x470 mb with ryzen 2 out of the box?
i thought only x370 and b350 needed bios flash
@long sphinx depends if they have teh latest BIOS or not
fuck
@supple bane yeah this thing came with 2 fans but I took the front one off because it wouldnt clear my ram. works just fine with 1 in the middle
ye that’s my issue
so if the mobo cant flash without cpu? ill need someone to hand me over a ryzen 1 wtf
@long sphinx dont need that if your board has BIOS flashback
I don’t think it would fit in because of my gpu either, the gpu is too close to the cpu for that to fit
this was the one I was looking at
that will certainly do the trick. why not a 3600 or such though?
I got the 2600 for 120 pound and it came with 2 games
and the 3600 would be over kill for my gpu
My gpu would bottle neck it
no I mean that isnt on my amazon, never seen it before but it popped right up on UK
special snowflake stuff there
oh right
I think I’m gonna go with the 120 man aio
I’ll get 2 of those fans that are on the aio just so they all match in my case
she'll be fine, will work great for an upgrade too since a 2600 will hardly warm that up
Atm on stock I ain’t getting close to stock boosts so
I need it even if I don’t over clock.
only time I saw it at max boost was when I was doing some cad work
normally I sit at 3.65 instead of 3.9
are you sure about x470 not able to post with ryzen 2 until bios flash?
or is it a marketing move to force people to buy x570?
they post I think, there was another issue of which I forgot
May have been overclocking performance or something like that, not sure
so thinking more about a post I made some days ago, this is the plan:
amd 3 2200g
asrock b450m
8gbs of ram
ssd 500gb
I will use it only for some coding and maybe some minecraft and not heavy programs, and then I plan on buying a RX 570 or 580 later for some 1080p gaming, not planning on playing in ultra or high, I don't really care about that, just average 60fps
does the above sound good
the new APU already dropped unless your budget is too tight
yes
I did see some research and it doesn't seem to be worth the difference
RX 5700 XT outselling RTX 2070 Super supposedly

in raw performance, the 5700XT is faster than the 2070 Super and costs $100 less
just had to do some home modding to it to make it actually function
@broken forge why not the 2400/3400g then?
Tight budget, but I will see if some prices drop in Amazon Prime
so I can adjust based on that
isn't 2200g, 8gb and rx570 enough for some casual 1080p gaming?
some r6, maybe battlefield
in low or mid
well really an APU is pointless for gaming if youre getting a GPU
at that point a 2600 shouldnt be hard to come by
yeah but I am not getting it until like some months
maybe 3 or 4
so I want to survive those
not getting the whole rig?
I guess, not enough budget
