@latent light I think the system might be booting from your former HDD. From those preliminary screens, you've still got a system/reserved area on that drive. If you look at my storage drives, that doesn't exist on them.

You can direct the system to use a different EFI partition though, AFAIK.

@red trellis When you installed windows on the SSD, it should have created one. Try booting with the Windows CD or the USB with the image/system recovery, and then check your partition layout there.

@latent light Partitions can remain despite format, unless you truly kill all the partitions and reformat the entire disk. Seems like you might have a hidden volume as a remnant of the past.

It's worth a shot.

If the system can't find your Master Boot Record (MBR) it won't know where to look to startup the operating system.

Also, if the MBR becomes corrupted, you could have bigger problems, but lets hope for the best.

@latent light Yeah, strange man. That's why I wonder if you had setup as a BIOS boot previously and then enabled EFI and it just chose some place to put it or something.

It would probably explain why it won't boot when it gets pulled out.

I could see how it could default to the old EFI sector if that's how it was run previously, and when you did the install under BIOS and then EFI was enabled, it just chose to use the old partitioned information rather than create another. I guess that's plausible.

Anyone in here that have the same problem as me? When playing BFV it seems there is a frame every 2-3 sec that it skips. Im running the game with 120 FPS. But that skip/lag is there constanly. Hello ! I'm having a bit of a technical issue with BFV. I recently replaced my GPU with a brand new RTX2060. I noticed that the performance of the games seemed pretty bad despite having a pretty solid setup. It turns out that BFV is the only game I have that doesn't seem to work with G-Sync and my 144Hz G-Sync compatible monitor. Any other G-Sync users having issues maybe ?

hardware upgrade or system update?

#

because if you did a hardware upgrade such as the ram, you should know that battlefield runs better with two sticks of ram than with one

#

or it might be that if you added ram the speeds aren't right in the bios

#

or if you updated windows the game/xbox dvr and game bar may have re enabled themselves

and im not being funny but im sick of "helping" you, we have offered things for you to try and you have refused. the only thing that i can think of it being is bad temperatures, so we have told you on multiple occasions to monitor your temperatures while you are playing... yet you wont either bother, never mind telling us what the temps are

I just hot bfv and im assault rank 3 and im trying to use the gewehr which is unlocked at rank 1 i went to the main menu and i tried equipping it there but it says that i need to be assault rank 1 but im rank 3 does anyone know how to fix this?
i play on xbox
