Well I’m upgrading from a 1060 3gb and the 1660 doesn’t offer much of a FPS increase and while it does have more Vram, it’s impractical

Plus the cuda cores you get in the 1660 don’t even match the amount in the 1070 (~1400 vs 1920)

You can go to your nvidia control panel by right clicking the screen. Nvidia sets this to power saving by default. Turned this on and noticed a pretty big jump

If that does not help you, then try doing a fresh install of windows

You may also want to check exactly what settings are in vertical sync, if you can find a mode that works better for that app. There are more options available than on or off.

oh and if possible move the installation to a drive not shared with your OS, SSD or hybrid preferably.

I got matched with a squad of other australians in the US

If it was EU it would be been 260-300+ ping

Japan it would have been 100-160ms

US is 180-220

so the bar is high

pretty much the same for any 64 player BR game

but the server mechanics elude me, like the test range is online right

so if I go to the test range or practice range does that take a whole server out of their pool?
