will a 1070ti be able to handle bfv at 1440p 144hz
even at lowest settings, it won't stay at consistent 144 fps
will get dips as low as 100
thats still pretty smooth with freesync tho
yeah
wondering if i should get 1440p as an investment for the future or if i should stick with 1080p
you got a 1070 Ti working with a Freesync Monitor?
now that freesync is supported through software from nvidia
I think there's only 20 monitors that fully support freesync with nvidia
yeah but out of the 20 there are both 1440p and 1080p and i dont want to waste money on g sync
Theres a list showing unofficial gsync support for monitors
most with decent range manage it fine
@latent light Mint is closer to windows
@glass flame and no it won't
My 1080 gets tanked in 1080p much less 1440p
Hopefully this dude I bought a 1080ti from follows through (doubt it) so i can compare them
How do I change border size on BFV?? Everything is cut off the screen
are you in full screen or windowed mode?
Full screen
This is on Xbox btw
ah I dont know exactly but in settings there should be a screen size adjustment
Xbox, BF, or TV settings?
BF...Im assuming this is the only game that has the issue
Yep
There’s no screen adjust setting in settings
Too bad a 1060 can’t run bf 5 at 144hz even on low 1080p
I struggle to run BF5 at 1080p 144hz on maxed on a 1080
I average around 120-130fps the last I played
Playable? No
Run 420 by 680
If this is anything outside of a 8350k or other 8th gen i3
idk bf4 is old enough it might be fine with 2c 4t
But it won't be great
I would not play at 1080p
So what I should upgrade to Xbox one X?
To fix my screen size problems
Happens in any other game?
Xbox one x is a good hardware improvement over the old Xbox, not much though
My RX 580 gets 80 fps on ultra settings 1080p
I think RX 590 gets very close to the 1070 in BFV
BFV is still crashing for fuck sake, fix this error
0x000005
Many people are thinking about upgrading to the next video format - 4K. But does the human eye and brain even perceive and process things that clearly? Let's...
why does this have to be explained

The human eye can only see 24fps
13 scan lines
no, pixels
basically the image quality of the first TV, except black and white
back in the 1920s
Still better visibility than BFV
Its gotten to the point where I disable Spotlights or something related to Tiles
It gets rid of the AA
Its great
Also gives you a 20fps boost
Jaggies for days
Ill do that hey, thanks for the brilliant advice
Humman eye can only see 4 GB of RAM
lies, I can see all of my 16gb (2 sticks)
it helps to have see-through cover though
@prime jasper
No problem, let me know if you need help picking out parts for your first PC build
Happy to help

the division 2, dmc5, or re2
basically youre paying like 20-30 bucks for a gpu if you plan on getting these games at launch....

@jade star if that isnt the cutest ram ive ever seen
So cute, that people petitioned to keep this monstrosity over that one

What sheep/ram has blue horns

a blue horned ram
so i wanted a new keyboard and the one i was going to go for was the k63, but then i found out it only had blue back lighting and it had mx red, i hate the sound they make, so i looked through loads and the best one i could find was something called the motospeed k87s. it had a blue switch and had really nice looks and rgb options, and all the reviews i could find were 5 star, and the best part it was only £50, i just really hope that getting this cheap off brand key board wasnt a bad choice,
kind of a keyboard enthusiast here, theres so many switches out there that i recommend getting a switch tester and trying stuff out
theres probably over 100 mx style switches
lol I have a red dragon keyboard and am pleasantly surprised considering it was only 35 dollary doos
the only thing i wanted the blue switch was the sound, im not too big on the response time and all that malarkey, and the outemu blue which is what it has sounds exactly the same as the mx blue
clicky switches (blues) are really fun to type on, but they are so loud they get picked up from my mic and bother my gf. tactile switches (browns) are a good middle ground
i personally get silent tactile switches
i have aliaz 55g and gateron silent browns
I still need to ascend to the buckling spring master race
i just love the sound, i currently type on a membrane k55 and although it doesnt have that super mushy feel that some membranes have im guessing eventually the old mush mister will set in, and the membrane doesnt exactly sound nice
personally, typing is about the feel, so i could care less how it sounds
im not that good of a typist, and i can type at around 50 wps so it doesnt really bother me about the feel, i mean i am fairly new to this pc gaming stuff so i havent experience most of the nicer stuff meaning im not too bothered/ i dont notice the cheaper stuff
i mean put it this way, only recently have i been able to type without mistakes when not looking at my kb
well you could get a pcmasterrace modular keyboard for 60 bucks, get switches (varying prices) and keycaps
the thing with modular, say you dont like the switches, you can easily swap them out
true
or, if a switch goes bad, you can change out that 1 switch
granted, the cheapest you can get a board, switches, and keycaps would probably be around 100 bucks
^
the thing is, the motospeed must have something that makes it so cheap, and i just dont know what said thing would be, and thats what bothers me
im guessing it would be the material it is made out of,
i guess i will find out what it will be like when it arrives
pretty sure those switches are amongst the cheapest you can get, probably comes with laser etched keycaps, and material overall is probably cheap
well if it falls apart under my fingers it falls apart under my fingers XD
I don't get people who don't invest in their peripherals
mfw people have a $2000 PC but shit kb+m
the peripherals last you through several upgrades
kb, sure, but mouse?
shit mouse feels so bad
not only does it feel bad, but its performance can translate
ig a lot of people are ok with shit keyboards, but if you have to actually do work, it's awful
a shit dell keyboard would perf the same as a good kb
I mean if I have to spend 6-7 hours a day programming or typing, a nice tactile experience makes it better
a kb is preference imo, but a good mouse is vital
and building your own keyboard is an even more rewarding experience than building a PC imo
oh yea work wise, im just talking gaming though
yeah, good mouse is key
for gaming or work imo
I don't get how people with office jobs work 50 hrs a week, 50 weeks a year with shit peripherals
that's why you get carpal tunnel fam
i still think that a mouse only gives a very small advantage that only the most picky gamers can notice
depends how bad the other mouse is
I mean ig average gamer doesn't benefit that heavily from a very good mouse
^
you definitely need to hit a certain level of proficiency before mouse preferences are a big deal
i took home the normal office mice we have at work, and it was horrible
granted, im usually top 3% of a given playerbase
also you would find that an average mechanical keyboard would give more strain in the wrist because of how high up the keys are and how far down you will press them
well that's why you can build your own keyboard with a custom angle
like an office kb has very little travel and is super flat
also I lock my wrists straight and don't bend them unnecessary
play it like a piano
yeah, that helps most people a lot
even though I wasn't great at playing the piano, at least learning the piano set up good ergonomic habits for typing
^
hurts my soul to watch people wreck their hands and wrists on shit peripherals and wreck their posture slouching in chairs
if gaming on a standing desk were enjoyable i'd do it, but i just use a balance stool instead
i dont slouch in my chair but i dont have my head on the head rest,
the head rest on my chair is wayyyy too far back, i only use it when watching a movie or listening to music
posture is the only reason why I think music should be a mandatory subject in school at some point lol
the band posture would help a lot of people
i hated music in school XD
but yes what you say is true
riding a bike is also very bad for your posture
https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Sitting-Ergonomic-Stability-Standing/dp/B00HCLJDSK
I use something similar to this and it's great
especially if you're ADD as shit and hate sitting still
i have a really bad issue at the moment
can't slouch back when there's nothing to lean back on
its either that i lose the blood flow in my legs or in my arms because i have really short legs i cant touch the floor with my whole foot when the chair is level with the desk, so its either that i have my arms at an angle and have my feet on the floor or only have my toes on the floor and have my arms fine
your desk is probably too high, but can't do too much about that
get either electric table or a box/something under the desk to get feet on something
yeah, get a footrest
im using my mother board box atm XDD
sometimes I sit on my balance stool with nothing touching the ground and just balance
that sounds fun if im honest
kinda tiring on your core after an hour or so, but it's good bc it limits your screen time
i just flip my gaming chair to free swivel and lean back and lift legs on table
legit horizontal
also im a big sucker when it comes to sitting still, like i normally have to wiggle my feet constantly or tap my feet or rock back and forth
i also can never get my head set in the right place for some reason, im always taking it off and back on and its fine for like an hour then it starts to feel like its too far back or something

could just be a poor fit for you lol
nah, its just im fidgety
the headset fits perfectly, all headsets do for some reason
im not gonna touch the game until the next patch comes out. maybe they will fix it. ive tried everything on my end.
i'm thinking: But WHy
@sly portal i had a 2070 that was defective, returned after a week
awh
sucks to not have a 2nd system to test a defective graphics card on
buy some really cheap parts and peripherals and your good to go
thankfully i have my front room build
Has anyone else not been able to quit after post match screen? I used to get it a lot in the beginning, then next patch fixed it. Now after this recent patch, it's been happening again.
Friendly reminder that a HD 5870 beats a RTX 2080 Ti in FP64 compute
That’s gotta cost at least 1000$ usd 😂. Also what is Sony thinking with the four gigabytes of ram
8c cpu.....theres just no way
also, Navi at 12.6 Teraflops to 14.2 teraflops, that's basically 2080 ti performance
yeah 8 cores is definitely doable
but the GPU isn't
mainstream console would have a cpu like that?
I doubt next gen consoles to get over 1080/2070 performance
Xbox One and PS4 already have 8 core CPUs
Jaguar 8c/8t- 1.75 GHz on PS4, 2.3 GHz on Xbox One X
oh lawd, really? shows how close i pay attention to that hardware
Zen is a lot more power efficient than Jaguar too
oh its not a hyperthread
so 8 core Ryzen on a console is 100% possible
also, developer kit consoles are more powerful than the consumer consoles
Jaguar also isn't very fast
That’s why PC is the master race
Jaguar is shite on the Xbox one. It can barely run the newer games
@latent light Don't listen to any leaks on Navi
Fun fact
Jaguar is old and cheap
I want you to get a whole PC for <200
I expect the PS5 to have a better GPU than the Xbox One X
which should put to gtx 1070/1080 performance
next gen Xbox will probably have better hardware than the PS5
considering microsoft learned their mistake with the first xbox one
which was weaker than the base ps4
Probably not since Sony wants to remain competitive
and both will probably be on Rzyen
Ryzen 8 core is definitely doable though
7nm 8 cores
at 3.2 GHz boost, it would <50 watts
I mean
If they go the size on the current consoles (PS4 Pro, etc)
It won't be hard to cool up to like 200-300w
The issue is price
people want consoles <$400
shit, the base Xbox One was huge, but it also had a 100mm fan on top that was equal/bigger than a ryzen stock cooler
if the new consoles were that size, they could pack in some hardware
They can custom order rads
tbh, i think the only reason i don't play console is kb+m
i wish console graphics could go lower too
they're locked too high
Recent Kyro batches have been meh from what I hear from other people
mine is fine but i'll see if its gritty next time I remove my GPU heatsink
bad batches wtf
do they run out of an ingredient and use a filler or maybe some kind of error in the factory
Just use mayo
chicken grease*
Who here uses an fx 6300?
I had an Fx-8350 a few years ago
would not recommend for Battlefield
a 6300 wouldn't even get 60 fps average on BFV
Got my office/gaming den set up even more last night so now I've got a dedicated server and my storage drawers all organised 👌
Gonna get some more Ethernet cables and a gigabit switch today too and imma be swimming in glory
my computer case has a 200mm fan on top 😎 🆒
I just have 8x 120 in my case :<
I've got 3 120 and 2 140
why need so many fans
ya but its still gonna probably be capped at 30 fps
Actually the ps5 is now rated to 75hz and can do 120
But it's mostly 4k 60fps
It will most definitely do 4k 60fps with 14tf of GPU power, tuned GPU power, not raw
So realistically it would technically beat a 1080ti
All depends if dev's actually can make a game correctly
so sonys selling a 2000 dollar console
and i doubt it will push 75 fps with that weak jaguar processor
and i dont think that sony will sell a console with more power than an 800 dollar graphics card
the gpu will be similar to a 1060 do your research before you say stuff like that
^
a console will never be able to perform the same as a good pc
just because they focus on making it small and look good, and they normally only have one tiny lil fan which would not cool a gpu that can out perform a 1080ti
ps4 has basically a 750 ti right?
i agree, but i got a ps4 pro and switch for exclusives
it just sucks they usually run at 30 fps
gow at 60 fps would have been fan fucking tastic
@supple bane Samsung smart fridge master race!
I mean to get a console to perform 4K 60fps you are talking at least £700 and then if your paying that money you may as well get a pc because you can aim better with some practice on a kbm and you would have all the stuff that comes with owning a pc like free games, easy upgrades and generally a better OS
well, its not a 1:1 to pc, so console can get 4k 60fps in different ways than raw power
true
but considering most intensive games are run on 720p @30fps on a console... 4K @60 is a huge leap to take
I don’t even think ark runs at 720 @30 FPS on console, I think it’s Lower then that
One X can easily hit 1080p60 with HDR and freesync anyway
idk any game on ps4 that isnt 1080p
Ark...
ark looks disgusting on Ps4, there are a few other games like that as well
I guess “most” was a bit of an over statement
lol ark runs at like half the performance most pc games run at
idk any decently optimized game that isnt 1080p on ps4
i have to have two pre-sets on afterburner, one for my normal games which is 210 core and 500 memory and one for ark which is stock
ark was fun, but that game was a mess
its still one of my fave games
its a shame it was made by such a trash developer tho
it had the right ideas just the execution was questionable
@dusty wagon do my research? Lel dude 14tf pass's a 1080ti
You need to Google stuff up again
That's for the GPU itself
Not counting the CPU cores
you do realise that there are other factors than what you find on a spread sheet on google
Like the xbox one saying it has 1.8tf but real performance is 0.8
Yeah
But that's a apu
Now its a differnt ball game
Ps5 wont be a 1060 since xbox x is 6tf and is equal to 1050ti buffed to hell
@supple bane ark ran like shit for console because of the super weak apu
correction, ark runs like shit. end of statement
i mean, theres google translate
some one cen help me cheng English to Spanish
js this is a tech channel, maybe you should do that in dm's 😃
i dont know what you mean by change the soldier name...
idk if 8 threads has enough processing power to change solder names
😂
Iam talking about the bf5 name that appears when iam playing in the servers
Yeah you can in the main menu
Ok. Ty. My mistake i wrote in a wrong channel but @storm osprey you also wrote a lot out of topic comments without even help..
i wasnt giving you flack for what you said, i just read it wrong because "8t" is commonly used in tech talk as "8 threads" which has to do with a CPU
the name you see in the server is your gamer tag or your ps4 username, im not too sure if you can change it but you could try go to the settings on your ps4, then navigate to an account section, and then see if theres an edit account and maybe on that you can change the name, if you do that then it should change the name
i think i should start to play without a wrist wrest on my kb because my new one doesnt have one so if i start now i might already be used to it by the time it arrives
omg my wrist is already hurting, how do people do this all day ?
You avoid the things that hurt?
There are a few basic things to avoid with a keyboard to avoid long term damage
guys which gpu should i get in order to make full use of my i5 8400
like at what point is it too much
i want to know the right spot where it uses all of its capacity without having bottleneck
ive been told probably the 2070
what really matters imo is what resolution, hz, and game settings you play at
60fps 1080p max settings
although an 8400 and a 2080ti is an odd pairing, i dont think the 8400 is going to really hold back a 2080ti
ssssso the 2070 statement was right?
wait
nvm
just had a language barrier
hold back = ?
for 1080p 60fps the 2070 is over kill
yeah but what about longevity
● GPU: PALIT GeForce RTX 2060 GamingPro OC 6GB ● CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 3.8GHz, Hexa Core / Coffee Lake ● Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H55 ● Motherboard: MS...
will watch the vid when i get home
the lowest fps i saw was 75 at high settings, and that was in open world games like farcry and assassins creed
bfv and forza were getting well over 100 fps
rise of tomb raider was sitting at 100 fps
is there any disadvantage in getting a 144hz monitor and running some games at 60
the division was doing 80 fps at ultra
i heard 60 fps looks worse if your monitor is 144hz
id say 2060 is in a good spot
granted depending on your prices i might suggest the 1660ti
ive never heard of 60 fps looking bad on 144hz monitors
should i wait for the 2060ti
you might get more screen tearing
but at the same time, youll push more than 60 fps, so that 144hz headroom will be appreciated
i dont think it will LOOK different, but it will definitely FEEL better
144hz monitors are hella expensive tho
imo, worth it though
i imagine
im spoiled by 144hz and gsync
will probably get one after i get a new gpu
i would really hate to go back
whicj gpu do you suggest for 144hz
max settings 1080p?
what does holding back mean sry
Like with a better CPU you will get more FPS
I run an overclocked 1080 / 8600k and can do 1080p 144hz in most games
youll always get more fps with a better cpu, but imo that doesnt mean it holds it back
would the 2080 do bottleneck
Bottlenecks always exist
idk what holding back means
limits
of course, but that would mean that there is always only 1 cpu that doesnt bottleneck
You can pair a 2080ti with an 8700k / 8086k / 9700k / 9900k and be fine
but its built for high-refresh rate gaming
and should be pair with a CPU capable of doing so
For 1080p? Hell yes
its not a waste, its just not an ideal "pairing"
hence a money waste?
When you will always hit the limit of your CPU before your GPU, I'd call that a waste
and the bigger concern is that youre getting a 2080 for 1080p gaming
a 2070 is more than enough for 1080p for years
im all for higher fps but i dont intend to go beyond 1080p
if youre going 144hz i would get a 2070
if youre staying at 60hz a 2060 is even much
ic
I have a 1080 overclocked (aka stock 2070 performance give or take) and yeah, its more than enough for high refresh rate 1080p
@fallen harbor OWO
@fallen harbor don't get anything more powerful than the 2070 for 1080p
although I recommend the 2060 more
I mean I might end up with a 1080ti with a 1080p monitor
but that is because I need to upgrade my monitor but monitors cost a fortune
Which is the better of the two in terms of value? The RTX 2060 or the RTX 2070? Well if you are wondering what the best answer to that question is, then toda...
well if hes maxing everything for 144hz the 2070 will provide more headroom
2060 is better value
Not going to watch it, but if a overclocked 2060 nears a stock 2070 then an overclocked 2070 shits on a 2060
it was the same thing with the 1070ti and 1080
2060 doesnt even get 2070 stock numbers, not even close according to those numbers
(in the video)
at 1080p, 2070 gets about 20% more performance best case scenario
in many games though, it's only a 10% difference
In Metro Exodus and Apex Legends, the 2070 is 30% ahead
well it also depends on a lot of things
the 6GB vram on the 2060 becomes a bottleneck on metro exodus
People forgot there is a lot of variables in FPS
@atomic atlas ??
i would personally go with the 2060, and turn down settings to get the fps
but this guy sounds like he wants max settings, and to get 144fps the 2060 just doesnt do it
and then wants something that will last longer
to put things into more perspective
stock 2070 = overclocked 1080
stock 2060 = slight OC 1070 ti
and then wants something that will last longer```
I suppose you understand now my whole concern on this matter
i am never sure what is most convenient
sorry if i sound too dense sometimes
Just turn down settings if you can't hit the FPS you want in a few years
theres is no universal most convenient or best
Games will progress in ways we don't know
you just have to decide what you want and if getting what you want is worth the cost between certain products

Ando, 1660 Ti would suite you perfectly fine
honestly though, if you step into 144hz, everything cost wise goes up
yeah thats why im sticking to 60
id just stick with 60 fps if youre happy with it and get a 1660ti or 2060 depending on the prices
id like to have 144 but i dont make much money
1080p 144hz freesync monitor can be found for $200 USD
which reminds me, any news on navi?
no
Navi announcement could happen before Computex but maybe not
I bought a 1080p 144hz monitor for like $150
Hell there was a 1080p 240hz gsync monitor for like $250 recently
tbh if AMD announced everything right now, they would take up a lot of market share because mid-range buyers would skip the 1660 and wait for navi
any 144hz monitor brands?
Acer, Asus, BenQ, Sceptre,
kk
Acer and Asus are the 2 most popular
Buy the panel from the manufacturer (the actual monitor part), buy the PCBs and controllers and stuff, then assemble it and add your firmware
tbh, I can't recommend a 144hz monitor if you only have a i5-8400
all i was thinking about was getting a pair (cpu and gpu) that gives the most use of eachother for longevity
forget about 144hz tbh
i asked just out of curiosity
i5-8400 and GTX 1660 Ti are the best pair at the moment
you could spend $70 more for a RTX 2060
forget about prices
why
then why didn't you buy something like an i7-8700K instead of a i5-8400 lol
because if i get a gpu that doesnt use my cpu the most, by the time it gets old it wont be worth buying a new gpu
id have to buy a new cpu too and everything
GrimAceToday at 7:56 PM
then why didn't you buy something like an i7-8700K instead of a i5-8400 lol```
easy boy
lol
i am not rich ok
i know what you mean
I would get a 2700x / 2600x tbh
forget about price
tbh, Ryzen 5 2600X would of been a better option still
anything above a RTX 2070 would get bottlenecked by the 8400
expecially at 1080p
true
So just increase the graphics
2060 it is then
2060 is in a good spot for 1080p
tyvm
did you plan on playing BFV with that 8400?
not the main priority but yes?
oof
it may get max utilization and cause stutter
It shouldn't stutter
My 8600k doesn't stutter at 100% usage
isn't your 8600K at like 5 ghz though
hell it worked fine even with my old 3770
meanwhile 8400 turbos to 3.8
what about frametimes
5.0ghz with cache overclocked and a heavy RAM overclock
i forgot what frametime is but the game ran perfectly playable
is your fps stable
Frametime graphs just let you see dips in FPS better than FPS graphs
Since frametime is an inverse relationship with FPS
i think we are getting too nitpicky tbh
bfv runs just fine
i get like 90fps with this 8400 and my old r9 380
no need to worry about that
did you get your r9 380 working?
yeah it seems it was probably either the old mobo or the old psu
weird
Time to oven it
but yeah your PSU can do fun stuff with GPUs
I know someone who set a Vega on fire with a PSU
don't put it in a oven that you currently use to cook with
Also don't put it in a oven unless you know what you are doing
and don't really care about it, since its not gonna live forever after the oven
ill keep using this gpu till it becomes really outdated or dies tbh its still doing wonders for me
somehow
AMD cards do have longevity
at least for 60fps and 1080p
still satisfies me
ill see what i get once it struggles to reach 60 in newer games
probably the 2060 or whatevs
nah
like the 980ti
980 Ti is with the 1070 lol
i have little knowledge of the gen before 10x
UNLIMITED POWER
aka the 980ti
but it doesn't scale with voltage
So you can let it draw 400w and it won't go much farther than 250w
R9 380 sits between a GTX 1050 Ti and 1060 3GB in performance
Also you can overclock AMD cards really well
tbh i had no idea what i got when i got it, it was on sale
watched some benchmark and was like stfu and take my money
I think AMD cards have overkill quality VRMs typically
why are AMD cards usually cheaper than NVIDIA
like for the same performance you can get a relatively cheaper AMD card
afaik
because AMD can't compete with Nvidias top end
hence why the lower end cards of both are constantly tapdancing around each other in price
I remember people choosing the GT 1030 over the RX 550 in 2017, now the RX 550 stomps it by 20%

Fine Wine™
Hey what you guys running for mice? got a wirless g903 but that thing is a pos that keeps breaking, looking for something similar
has to be wireless?
Im not sure what makes a wire intrusive or not lol
i wasnt thinking lmao
rofl well I have a patriot viper v560, really nice with the swappable side panel so I have a pinky rest too. not half bad with price either
Wired or wired at this point, liked the wirless cause there was less of a clusterfuck on my desk but at this point i have it wired anyways cause it helps with the double click issue
I have a razer deathadder from 2014
still works like new
think I paid $40 for it then
lmao last time I had a razer was back when the g5 was hot shit. bricked the stupid thing on a firmware update and never got another one
hmm that viper looks pretty good
yeah ive put 2 sets of switches in my g903 and still having doubleclick/misclick issues and have had to rewire the pcb cause the side buttons fcked off on the lefthand side getting tired of it
like it was a great mouse for the first 6 months but now its a nightmare to use
I contemplate before I buy new hardware/peripherals every time
I've gotten so many defective units in my life
I choose brands that have good customer service
This
and logtech has shit customer service so gonna try to stay away from them especially cause thier quality controll semms to lack at times
@jaunty trout G502 is a great mouse and was cheap
Also customer service means nothing on quality control
The biggest issues are defective products getting shipped which you go through the retailer to deal with
i like the look of the g502 but im kinda worried of the switches fcking off again
Haven't had any issues with mine
Yes their customer service has nothing to do with their QC what i was trying to say and i clearly didnt was that the pst few products ive had havent had the greatest of quality and life of the products i have bought
hmm okay will look into that one
oooh i like the look of that one
Do i chance it and get another logitech or hold out and keep looking?
Should I get hero or spectrum 502?
I think the Hero has a "better" sensor
but it will make almost zero difference
Also the Spectrum hit like $35 once IIRC
So even if it dies in a year, worth it
Yeah guess so, reading up on the new sensor and people say it isnt worth it for a wired mouse (if that makes any sense??) there isnt an 502 wireless im guessing looking through the amazon reviews and there are lots of ones saying that the cord gets destroyed
Remember
wow .... the armory update is again really huge ... 😦
People only leave reviews with they have something negative to say (almost always), why leave a review if the product works 100% as intended
My cord is perfectly fine, but I'm also not a dumbass who would ruin a mouse cord
That is avery fair point lol
fck it gonna go full send and get the hero from amazon prime
Yeah you have to be weary on reviews
I'm bought tons of products, never left one review
Its the same with thousands of other people
will MX-4 paste short out circuits?
But one person who might be a dumbass could leave a one star with less than factual info
@latent light no
ok good
no
I want a roll of thermal pads now lol
going to reapply paste and pads to all my graphic cards
for what? custom waterplate on gpu?
my old gtx 770 will love it
ah i was close
I hear thermal pads on GPUs won't tear if you're careful
but not all thermal pads are the same
I just don't wanna take apart my best gpu and have the pad rip and have to wait a week for a new set of pads to ship
what about Arctic
Has anyone tried the gtx 1660 ti series of GPUs in bfV?
Buy ARCTIC Thermal Pad (50 x 50 x 1.5 mm) - Silicone Based Thermal Pad with 6.0W/mK Thermal Conductivity - Flexible and Adaptive: Fans & Cooling - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
Also thermal paste is better than pads
wouldn't put paste on VRMs and memory chips
I’d put a pad on the AMD cpus, they seem to run hotter
you're supposed to use paste on CPUs
not pads
although very low wattage CPUs can use pads
What are thermal pads anyways, are they like rubber pads or am I missing something
Its literally just a conductive pad
@latent light Those look fine
Also if you really want you can use paste on mosfets, etc
They just don't get hot enough to validate it
1.5mm thickness should be enough for the memory?
Depends
Generally going a little too thick is fine
but if its really too thick it can flex the pcb
lol
need some thiccc thermal pads
I figured 1.5mm is the sweetspot for GPUs
snaps pcb on gpu
Oh, I had one of those for my raspberry pi 1.5 model B. They are really only built for really low power stuff. But I guess you can use them with different applications
yeah thermal pads are shit for hot stuff
not as efficient compared to paste
oh, you know the new Raspberry Pi is going to be announced soon, I hope it can run Gamecube emulator at 60 fps
pi 4?
I think so
hmm

overclock to 3.8 GHz, good CPU for $30
Lol turns out it was the cpu that fd off and not the mobo
i7-6700 + 8GB dual channel ram + H110 motherboard + Hyper T2 cooler
not a bad deal tbh
Its pretty meh
guys
how do I set a custom fan curve in AMD settings?
cause this thing wont move
unless i do it manually
the fan is the yellow horizontal line
it never changes
I think in recent drivers, you can set the fan speed to the approximate temperatures
never use 2 overclocking utilities at the same time
WattMan and Afterburner for example
having them both on creates instability
yea noticed
how good is an i5 7300hq
what do you want to do with it
heyo
yea
what r ur specs
huh
the specs of ur pc
ok i haave an i5 7300hq 16gb ram 256gb ssd + 2tb seaegate firecuda sshd gtx 1050 ti 120hz 1080p display
Cool I have an Xbox one.

how does it run bfv
For a console its shit
oof
Bfv crash's all the time
isnt it like 720p 30fps
Probably, only look at latency and ping for most stuff so not completely sure.
i play on a gaming laptop
Leave it to dice to have a Brocken game on a console.
it runs at 1080p at like 60 to 75 fps on high
I have Xbox one s so probably a bit better then normal Xbox one.
it runs usually twice as powerful as an xbox one does
One S has the same hardware
Games with unlocked frame rates were reported by Digital Foundry to perform 7-11% better on the Xbox One S than they do on the original Xbox One.
basically the S has a slight higher clock on the the CPU and GPU
1920x1080 0:00 Ultra 2:41 High 5:52 Medium 8:12 Low 1280x720 10:55 Ultra 13:32 High 15:21 Medium 17:42 Low If you are playing FORTNITE and want to support my...
seems a bit choppy
CPU bottleneck on low settings, GPU bottleneck at medium and above
Isn't that like the minimum almost?
Playing bfv in 720p
Playing bfv

morning
Anyone got recommendations on a good mechanical switch? I’m getting sick of the razer kahli green switches since my fingers are fatigued a lot
Anything that's cherry or the Logitech Romer-G ones
Yeah, some stores will have the testers out
i like romer g a lot, but it sucks that they arent interchangable with mx style keycaps
and their keycaps are laser etched so the paint can peel off
I don't change my keycaps so I don't mind IMO
i hated the laser etched keycaps on the romer g
after a couple of years multiple caps had sections chip off
double shot is so much better
Can't say I've had any issues after a couple of years for me, but I think mine are the clear ones for the LEDs
Got a 910
Ah fair
nyphon your pfp is nightmare fuel
I didn't notice any paint peeling anyhow, just gunk buildup over time
my personal favorite switches atm are aliaz switches
they range from 60-100g, are silent, clear gateron housing, tactiles switches
maybe a dollar more per 10 pack than most switches
Romer G is 💩
which romer g?
Outemo ICE and Kalih BOX are probably gold rn
which kailh box?
best non frankenswitches: Outemo ICE v2 > Zealio v2 > Kalih BOX
any clicky BOX is good
the Royals are good for tactile
zealio are way to expensive for what they are
BOX clickies are the best MX style clicky
no, v1 was overpriced, Zealio v2s are legitimately super good
i dont think ive tried outemo ice v2, but i did like the one i tried, but wouldnt get them for how loud they are
ICE needs a bit of modding to be optimal, but they have low wobble and good tactility
Zealio has a bit more wobble and less noise
and a bit smoother (v2)
link? only ones im finding are super expensive
there's a reddit vendor who bulk buys them and sells them at like ~$0.40/ea
hbheroinbob
as low as $0.30/ea
he's probably the premiere vendor, since he gets the latest variants too
he sells Outemu ICE silents
I have the latest ICE v2.2 silent stems with the meme sky blue housings
probably third best tactile MX switch possible today
or 4th idk
hmm, im gonna have to look into the silent varients, the page is kind of confusing though
when he says switches thats the whole switch?
does he just list different stems and springs as optional extras
or are switches the housing and you have to buy each piece and assemble them?
because buy them to build their own switches
his latest two sales posts advertise parts only
but you just PM the guy and ask for whole switches
so these are full assembled switch prices? the bump is at the top?
and is he getting redundant with "silent tactile stem (with bumpers"
because thats how you make silent stems....
ahh
you buy "factory assembled switches"
hmmm, tempted to make a reddit account to try these
SKY top/SKY bottom is the prettiest and probably the quietest
clear top (no slot)/SKY bottoms have the least wobble/most tactility
so is something different with outemu lately? i had a budget board that came with mx clones by outemu and they started having problems after a couple of years
i thought they were generally seen as lesser than gateron/kailh
yeah so the original Outemu switches are like bottom barrel
better than the Razer switches but that's about it
but like Kalih, they've made huge jumps
like rn, I'd go Outemu > Kalih > Gateron > Cherry
non vintage Cherry isn't worth it
i havent tried recent cherry switches, but last i heard they changed their moldings so they werent as scratchy
the normie outemus still kinda suck
but their more "boutique" switches are excellent
so many switches, not enough money
only cherry switches that are actually impressive are vintage Black or Clears
which vintage blacks are expensive as fuck
but MX style switches will always be inherently inferior to Alps
you will never be able to achieve Alps smoothness and tactility with an MX based design
the only alps board ive tried were heavy as fuck and super clicky
Brown Alps blows every tactile MX based switch out of the water
even Cream and Salmon, which are pretty inferior to Brown, blow MX out of the water
only MX style switch that can come close in tactility is Holy Panda
MX can hold its own in linear switches, and BOX switches are pretty good as far as clicky switches go
?
someone in general was asking if that pc snutten linked can run bf
It will not run the game
solitaire might
old ass bf titles he might get away with at low res and low settings
Get iFixit's Marlin Screwdriver Set today for only $24.99 USD at https://www.ifixit.com/linus Enter to win over $10,000 USD in Prizes at https://lmg.gg/build...
you can get 1080p gaming for like 700 bucks easy
mid range is way cheaper than that
For a good pc
1.5k will get you a gooooood fucking pc
750 usd and it even have a 2060
2k would run 4k at 100 fps no issues
get an RX 570 4GB for $130, play all games at high/ultra setting 1080p 60 fps
hell there was a sale for a 580 for like 150 with 2 free games the other day
RX 570 is still the best budget gaming card
gets only 15% lower performance than the 580
but still beats a 1050Ti by 40%
and over 50% on BFV lmao
but is 2060 not fairly cheap
2060 is cheap
but pushes 144hz gaming imo, so if youre 60z you dont really need that
graphics card should always be the most expensive component in a build imo
holy crap what are you running you need 2 for?
bfv 😄
SLI/NVLink is pointless, only like 5 games in the world support it fully
i know
single 2080ti is fine
but just need to waste more moeny 😄
I easily hit 100+ with my 2080 on ultra, no way a 2080ti needs more help
go buy a car
Got 2 cars
fuck another graphics card
:S
I dont wanna break my vertical mounted 2080ti to horizontal mount
ok stop flexing on us now bub
wait are you running rtx?
no
SLI has too many bugs to be useful
ah, yeah you might need 2 with nvlink to break 100 in 4k
Why is BFV keep crashing? Clean install? Stock settings for cpu and gpu and ram ryzen 5 2600 gtx 1080 1440p 144hz
im at 1440
@prime jasper i'm at 75-85 fps trough so its ok for me
just sad when i have 144hz 4k mointor 😦
yeah some things need time to catch up hah
wish someone would think of a way to mask multiple GPUs into single unit, without the need to support SLI, but just get the computation power benefits
dx12 just needs a wee bit more polishing
My pc started crashing now but only on bf5 everything else runs finee, 1080ti 😦
blue screens
the last patch seems wonky, I get crashes occasionally but no bluescreens either
isnt blue screen usually ram related?
i roled back my driver thinking it was the new update from nvidia
but i just had another crash .. not blue screen
never had an issue in 6 months
have you googled the error code? should have a file indicated as the issues on it when it happens
like nvddklm.sys or something random like that
will keep my eye out for that it suckss 😦 fave game haha
Just because he has 60hz doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get the 2060 that’s the dumbest shit I have ever heard lmao
i know one of them was irq less than not equil
yeah thats hardware related. try running prime95 for at least 30mins to stress the system and see if it crashes/fails
at max settings on even games like bfv youre getting well over 100 fps with a 2060
you can get a 1660ti, spend less, get slightly less performance, and still be golden
I have a thread ripper 1950x 16 core @4.3ghz and a 2080ti with 16 Gb ram @ 3200Mhz and I can run 80-120 FPS @ 4K
what is prime 95 sorry new to all this :/
i just built it 6 months ago and played ever since haha now this
All tho I do get random stutters and lag
oh, its a free tool for stressing and benchmarking. very easy to use
Which is odd
what does that have to do with getting a 2060 for 60 hz 1080p gaming?
soo you think my parts could possibly be faulty? as they are decent parts :/
No
It’s the game
I noticed that it only stutters when I have dsll and dx12 enabled
80-120 is kinda bad range
Are you stupid ?
no
80-120 fluctuation in fps is BAD
jacob, you just seemed to promote the 2060 though...
Just because he has 60hz doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get the 2060
1080p I get an easy 190+
keep it locked at 80fps
How is 80-120 bad? You make no sense
or a 1060

I know some Spanish
