until it leaked
yay free new stuff
Hi, I'm having an issue with BFV it says missing online access and I can't play online. I've disabled Direct X 12 and also turned off firewalls, Restarted and Updated both PC and Orgin but nothing worked. does anyone have any ideas?

@warm bane would recommend check forums and/or contact EA about it
I contacted them and Checked forms nothing so far but thank you for the suggestion
After update i have to do the prologue again????
do you have to finish the prologue to play online?
Wzup? i got like max 80fps with the new driver from nivida wtf ? someone else got issues with new driver update?
try toggline dx 12 and dx11
amd has zero driver issues
isnt that problem with colored outlines of dead players an amd issue?
like the ones that stay on your screen
Ohhhhhhh that bloody bug
Yeah that’s an AMD thing
New driver update doesn’t fix it either
Might roll back a few
But I don’t think that’ll fix anything
ive had issues with both, but i will admit nvidia has had some extra dumb driver issues
amd mostly i had issues with games not running well until the driver released 3 months after the game dropped
with nvidia there was a few month period where i would get that goddamn nvlddmkm error any time i tried to use google chrome
it was right when 980ti came out and the last driver without the bug didnt support 980ti lol
I never had any issues with my 1050ti and Nvidea drivers. That or I never noticed them
so had to do some damn INF editing to get the old driver to accept the new card
also for awhile you could only have 2 of SLI + gsync + shadowplay
any of those 2 worked together but all 3 broke
Yeah AMD drivers have that old red wine effect or whatever people call it - ages well
what really pisses me off about nvidia
is forcing people to login to use shadowplay
^
it only took them what 7 years to add split audio recording to shadowplay too
Tanks are shit. There is 0 splash damage!!!
yes what does that have to do with tech
LMAO
yo guys, anyone have an idea to fix this issue?: When i alt+tab, a lot of the times BF5 crashes
disable full screen optimization if updated w10
also try using alt+enter instead of alt tab
is there any way to launch the game and make soldiers speak a certain language without changing ui language
@minor turret full screen optimization? where can i find that?
anybody having extremely slow downloads on the latest patch?
i have 200 mbps and its downloading at 1 mbps XD
Big rip
contact support maybe
lol would accomplish nothing
Pretty sure origin has cloud saves for settings
it failed
somehow origin reset everything and uploaded these default settings to cloud
oh for fucks sake and i had every zoom tweaked
a config file setup
Uniform aiming or bust
what is uniform aiming exactly
Uniform Soldier Aiming probably. It tries to keep same feel of sensitivity regardless of fov/zoom
mm
Its matches the sens across all fov / zooms
Have had a free sync 144hz monitor for over a year but an nvidia card. Just enabled gsync because of that new compatibility feature and played a quick game on bo4
And WOW is it a big difference. Feels like I'm experiencing 144hz all over again lol
Does anyone know how to fix the Missing Online Access problem? DX12 is already off.
contact (EA?) support for a BSOD... what?
damn my brother has Galax HOF GOC 32GB of 4000 MHz DDR4 CL19 and he has it set to 3200 MHz CL11 (11-11-11-28) @steep gust
probably the best ram you can get for overclocking
he bought it yesterday and is still testing it out

GALAX might bring a 5000mhz kit to market so
I hate that you can't buy GALAX stuff in the USA
it's stupid expensive for hall of fame stuff
Yeah its not for consumers
Its for extreme users who are willing to pay for hardware that is pushed to its limit
Now considering I have $300 in DDR4, a really nice 2x8 kit might have been a better idea
Shame the only kit I can find is sold out and a trashy gold
ram prices are decent now
You can buy a kit of the 4000mhz HoF stuff for $320
I got 2x8GB 3000 MHz CL15 for $200 back in 2017
now it's like $120-130
But I also want a Z390 Dark
and a custom loop
and a new case
and new GPU, new CPU, etc
Also tell him speed > latency most of the time
he has a 8086K
But Skylake freaks the fuck out if you go above 4133mhz
and sets a bunch of sub timings all over the place
CL15 is nice on DDR4
I think once you have CL15, you should start increasing the frequency
do a lot of people buy high frequency ram so they can downclock it for much tighter timings?
no
You want to find the combination of frequency that gives the best read / writes with low latencies
But generally increasing the frequency does way more than timings
I would aim for like 3866mhz with the tightest possible timings
but 4x8 on Skylake limits your overclocking (You need a Maximus X Apex or Z390 Dark to really push memory)
why did AMD make a 8-core threadripper on the first gen

basically a Ryzen 7 with more PCI-E lanes and quad channel memory
yeah that is why
you can get the 1900X for like $300 now
decent I guess
3.8 GHz base and 4.0 GHz boost
Today we test the Ryzen Threadripper 1900x against the Ryzen 7 1700 in this battle of the AMD 8 Core CPUs! Huge thanks to http://www.playtech.co.nz for the s...
you can overclock the 1900X to 4.3 GHz
wtf
no frametime comparison
lame
Is anyone getting micro stutters recently in like your mouse when you go to spin say 90 degrees and it whips you around an extra 90-180 degrees suddenly
That isn't micro stuttering
It hasn't happened before and doesn't seem to on any other game of mine.
could be hard drive?

@prime jasper Perhaps reinstall mouse drivers?
25mm? for what purpose
I've got a few 40mm fans
since the update my frame rate has been taking a hit in this squad conquest
most of my settings are on low except mesh and terrain.
what cpu and graphics card do you have
also are you running single channel or dual channel RAM?
"Intro to overclocking - Liquid Nitrogen Extreme Overclocking" well that escalated quickly

@latent light I have an 8700k and a 1080ti ftw3
dual channel ram I have 32gb 3200 trident z rgb
does your GPU usage stay above 90% by any chance?
let me fire it up real quick, i switched to median-xl because the framerate was bugging me
i do have a driver update on geforce experience, let me do that and see if that helps
@latent light only using 1987/5000mhz mem and cpu temps at 61c
textures are loading in late, almost like draw distance isn't working...
yeah and when I ads that triggers frame rate drop as well
the map with the farm and A is by the bridge, running by trees they were rendering bushes as I ran up to them and on the map that is downtown with the train the bricks where rendering late
i will just have to figure it out tomorrow. I need to get some sleep.
its good
Nice can’t wait to hear it 😄
Ps4 Astro A50 which in game audio preset you guys recommend
@short crypt this thing is a beast , very very loud
wtf si spend shit tons of money on a stupid monintor
now i can buy freesync mointor and use my gtx
on it
well
not exactly
they're implenting driver updates that practically attempt to use the adaptive sync software from your monitor to your gpu
and only like, 11 freesync monitors out of a tested 400 actually supported the technology for nvidia to use
for other freesync monitors, nvidia basically it's hit or miss if it works
also
navi expected to be announced in june for some reason during e3, but it might show up at Computex
does anyone know why my frames are lower than usual constantly on battlefield v, i used to get 120-130 fps on ultra without RTX on but im only getting 65-80
everythings up to date
@lime pollen They are trying to find the freesync monitors that function just like gsync, which is comparing software to physical solutions
VESA Adaptive Sync will work on any Nvidia card with the most recent driver, it should all work without issues
gsync ranges is from 1hz to whatever the monitor is rated to
ah
Freesync doesn't generally do that
bigger
though
navi is hopefully nothing scoff at
and I apparently have a freesync monitor
I can finally use it to its full potential

@true bear sorry to ping you, but is there a certain DICE member who I should ask questions about RTX raytracing in game to?
Been having a few problems(game related not due to the GPU), and not sure who to ask.
never ping Dice
@hidden ermine Please don’t ping DICE/EA staff if they are not involved in a current conversation.
Oh sorry
@astral merlin are there any specific people I should approach for issues with tech?
I know but this one is fucking annoying
official websites are the best 😄
if you need help
nobody at dice or ea works through discord
Oof
Well cheers lads
Sorry for the disruption
I mean I’ll really be sorry when this dev hacks my account or something
Takes all my B-Bucks
AMD heatsink fan hooked up to a lab power supply
overvolt an AMD stock fan, it flys like a drone

what would be the RPM of the fan? duhh.
it actually wouldnt hurt your finger, theres not enough weight on the fan blades to do damage

rip 2070 users

someone already had the issue that he can't shoot after respawning ?
something happen to the 2080?
Terrible price to performance
oof
ive seen 2070's for under 500
nvm im wrong, i see muricans have enough 2070s
even the top bin 2070s for 500 usd + 3x fan
Uh no
The properly binned GPU 2070s are gonna be $530+
and more like $550 so they can actually make money
Triple fan + factory overclock doesn't actually mean its one of the Nvidia binned GPUs
oh okay
should Gigabyte graphics cards be avoided
i think of them as the best 2nd rate gpu brand
I don't think RMA is worth it
Gigabyte will probably test the card themselves on a nonreliable software to check for artifacts or crashes
like FurMark or some shit
I only see artifacts on discord and youtube
none on games
does gigabyte even accept RMA on cards
i doubt it
they just guide you to your retailer
retailers tell you to go through the manufacturer
FurMark is fully reliable
If your shit can't pass FurMark, it ain't stable
and if your VRMs can't handle FurMark, you got ripped off
my VRAM causes artifacts on youtube and discord but no artifacts at all in games

maybe I should ultimately test my card through Witcher 3 ultra settings, try to make it use over 4GB of video memory
upscale the resolution too

a month ago, the card would crash a lot in war thunder and sometimes in BFV
but it sorted itself out because it doesn't anymore
maybe windows downloaded something to fix it idk
because i didn't even try a different driver at that time
i assume that vega has that HBM memory that takes up no space
since the inductors for the power circuitry are in the same location the dram chips usually go in that pic
is the HBM memory actually on the die?
I think so
yeah see those 2 dies under the main GPU die?
there's HBM2 DRAM dies stacked on top of each other to create two logic dies
like this
very innovated for AMD to develop this new tech and partner with Sk Hynix to take it even further
1GB of HBM (not HBM2) is significantly smaller than 1GB of GDDR5
I think HBM2 is even smaller
at work i've had to solder a few chips that were several dies stacked on top of each other but it was only like an fr4 substrate + a sliicon die + an inductor on top
really cool way to save space but a pain in the ass to manufacture
hbm is really cool and the bandwidth is crazy
i wonder if its mostly due to the close proximity they're able to push it that high
HBM2 can offer up to 1 TB/s, GDDR6 is up to 768 GB/s
its crazy how much a few mm matters at high speeds
HBM3 is an upcoming high speed memory and the successor of HBM2 memory. HBM3 memory will be faster, have lower power consumption and have increased capacity over HBM2 memory. HBM3 will allow up to 64GB VRAM on graphics cards and memory bandwidth of up to 512GB/s per stack. You can see the mass production and use of HBM3 memory by 2020,

i guess its mostly due to the fact it has a really fat bus
like 1024bit vs 384 bit for ddr6
its crazy how fast tech advances
tech has been stale past 8 or so years
gpu has had some nice stuff but its slowing down
eh, it depends on what tech youre talking about. cpus kinda stagnated in 2012
as far as single thread performance increasing massively year over year
yeah GPUs are slowing down significantly
but like memory and stuff is pretty insane, ssds getting close to reaching price parity with hdds soon
I can't wait to see how the Radeon VII overclocks tbh
some of the craziest advances in tech imo has been with AI for stuff like image recognition
ram has been pretty meh too tbh, with 3200cl14 theres like a 50% improvement over ddr3 2400
which is still good enough for games
Nvidia going from the GTX 200 series to the 400 series was their best innovative practice
700 to 900 was good too
wasnt 400 still inferior to AMDs lineup?
gtx 780 is still viable today on low/med, pity mine died
look at the GTX 770 vs the GTX 970 for example
GTX 770 - 230 watts
GTX 970 - 150 watts - 50% faster
yeah, thats another thing thats pretty crazy
the performance/power ratio
with the smaller mfg nodes
userbenchmark is not the best, but it claims ~30% improvement
which is still decent
iirc 780 ti was godly because you could make that pass powerlimits hard and OC to a ridiculous degree
userbenchmark also claims that the 770 is 25% faster than the 1050 Ti but in games they perform the same

$300 cheaper and a much higher clock iirc but i didnt own one of those
still had two 770s
dont SLI btw
780 ti boost clock was 928, but with tweaks you could boost that to 1200-1300 mhz with custom bios and few other tweaks
insane performance gain to be had
my 770 only does +80 core overclock lol
you need proper cooling (esp vrm) and custom bios
to boost that shit skyhigh
apparantly memory was also extremely overclockable
at 1200 OC thats a solid 30% gain from OC
makes current cards peanuts in comparison
my 980ti overclocked pretty well up to 1480 up from 1075 reference boost clock
@covert heron if boost clock, did you hardmod?
my 3770k was also a gold chip i could hit 4.8 on air with hardly any voltage boost while my friend who bought one same day at the same store couldnt get his past 4.2 no matter how much voltage
oh its 980ti, thought you were talking about 780 ti
my 8700k wont overclock for shit though
im kinda tempted to delid it and try
apparently delidding these makes a pretty huge difference on thermals, like ~20C
it was kinda nuts though that i bought that 3770k in q2 of 2012 and there literally wasn't anything worth the cost of upgrading til that 8700k came out
a full 6 years
Friendly reminder that clock speeds are only relevant within the same architecture
ofc
i mean yeah, but you can still compare % increase over stock clock
but prior to 2012 you saw pretty massive single threaded performance increase year over year
like 50-100% sometimes
then from like 2012-2016 it was like 30%
a 6 year old pc in 2012 was borderline unusable
I got a 5820K
And it's still chugging along with only a 1 sec 4.0Ghz overclock on it
5820K was surprisingly popular
figured when it came out, everyone was still going to get the 4790K
X99?

uwu

It's got a freaking huge metal backplate too so it weighs a ton
U so stronk
my game is tucking on
resuming bf5
fucking stuck on
and when It was downloading it was stuck at 700kbps
Any fixes?
It'll go up and down in the download probs
Check in the settings if there's a limit on downloads and if your local network is hammered
That's probably what
Literally everyone in europe is complaining, don't worry @steady wasp
so i downloaded the trial version you get with origin basic access (10 hour version) but it wont let me play anything multiplayer?
also direct 12 wasnt on
lol
The trial editions have restrictions
razer deathadder elite or logitech G502
why
Razer is kinda overpriced and the build quality can be less than ideal
to stop hackers? lmao what has a mouse to do with hackers.
trial editions

deathadder is for big hands too
I've a G502 but I don't have palm grip
so I don't really feel the gaps tbh
Got a spider grip
I have a weird combination of palm, claw, and fingertip depending on what I'm doing
Clean your mousepad
there were many ragehackers using trial accounts
oof
Apple and Nvidia aren't getting along
@molten coral jesus you make the g502 look small
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLlKDJfRRaY @steep gust
This hardware news episode is packed with items following CES, including Intel 10nm Ice Lake news, Ryzen 3000 CPU core counts, X570 PCIe, and more. Ad: Buy M...
12 core and 16 core AM4 CPUs confirmed
💪
that's all we know about confirmation, don't know core clocks, cache, or TDP yet
nothing is confirmed until amd says that they are coming
im poor
Hi poor, I'm dad
You are on the internet, you cant be poor
Poor people dont have clean drinking water or electricity
is there even an sli profile which would run with bfv?
does DX12 support NVlink?
Premium >Life service
Agreed
@steep gust my friend is scared that the AIO he bought will freeze over because he lives in canada and the package is on his door step in the cold but he's at work and can't do anything about it

@latent light The liquid is probably something akin to anti-freeze
so I doubt that
that is to say, it is not water
it's a deepcool captain 360EX
he's actually prepping parts for next gen Ryzen
he bought a psu, case and aio so far
he's currently got a i5-7400 prebuilt system
That's pretty insane considering we don't know really how it performs
but he's not going to use that aio on his i5-7400 lol
I mean it'll be better than current Ryzen, and current Ryzen is pretty good so I guess it ain't the worst thing ever
what PSU did he buy?
RM750X white
well that's pretty good
a big premium (like 2x the price) to get the white one
picture of it he sent me
but it'll last 10 years so still not bad
comes with white cables and even combs lol
what case
some Lian Li case
un-conventional but they are usually a solid company
White PCBs are very rare nowadays
he wants a X470 but I told him to wait for X570
Good
Now high end X470 and X570 won't have much difference in feature set
but might as well wait
since X370 maxed out at 2933 MHz compatibility and X470 does 3466, wonder what X570 will do
yeah that isn't stable or safe
That might be benchmark stable and its using 1.65v
Which will kill the sticks
But the numbers look nice for 0.1 seconds
1440p 240hz
Anyone have problem with bfv not being able to deploy?
yes, people in #battlefield-legacy-titles talking about origin problems
Hey guys, 1011101010110101010101010111011010101010111010101010101111010?

No, back to English
Don't get too hyped.
gonna take like 6months until they will release any navi cards, most likely until closer to 2020
I did say earlier that it would probably show up at Computex
Yeah
as soon as i see a 1080 ti for 400 bux or less ill probably buy that
and stay on it for next 3 years
that's a literal dream
no its not, saw one already for that amount but was sold locally
oh used sure
I got mine new for 660 shipped. That was lowest Ive seen in a long time. It went right back up after that due to shortages.
oh hell will freeze before you get 1080 ti for below 400 usd retail
freeze and an application close with zero errors
happened to me when i destroyed the gnome house by point A on arras
lol
just back at desktop instantly with no error code
Might be an overclock thing - I get that a lot but only if I overclock. Did the audio 'tear' then the game freeze and crash @livid crown?
no audio, just a freeze then 5 seconds later, nice desktop. It's so random, did it before first game, then i've just played 8 rounds and no crash.
internet is so slow that discord took over a minute to boot
and it took 15 seconds for this message to send
I think I'd rather have an old office PC with Intel HD graphics than slow internet that can't even play online games
Is there a huge difference in performance with streaming between i5 8400 & i7 8700?
I'd recommend ryzen for anyone looking at i5s
But if you can get a good i7 the perf is better
for streaming, using cpu with less than 8 cores is not recommended, it is far better to use nvenc for streaming to get same quality that the 6core variant could produce with decent fps on fast x264
with 9900k I can play ow at 280+fps, while streaming 1080p/60 on high/medium x264
@sonic osprey yeah but the 9900k is also a meme CPU
not fit for gaming anyway
Most streamers have 2 PCs for this because it's overall better
trying to buy a CPU to both game and stream is just inefficient and rarely works
:D? not fit for gaming ?
:DDDD
9700k is the same performance
Actually
9700k is usually better performance
because it requires a fuck ton less cooling than the 9900k
it depends on the fucking game
if they can utilize threads or physical cores
still 9900k > 9700k
for gaming too
Why not a HEDT then?
too low clockspeeds
They're higher than the 9900k?
or equal?
What do you think the 9900k is?
It's a rebranded HEDT chip
umm no
umm yes
umm no
kbye
:DDD
xdxdxd
For everyone else reading this, you obviously should not be buying a 9900k for gaming
It has minimal gains over a 9700k or even a 8600k in gaming performance
Lol
you're just paying a fat premium for no fucking reason
ryzen 7 1700 can do 720p 60fps x264 medium ez pz
someone is butthurt
It has benefits, but it's like buying a 2080ti
It's best for gaming for sure but it's not price perf
at least make sure you have a 2080ti
before you spend on a 9900k
so at least you have an actual performance card backing up the well beyond diminishing returns CPU
FPS is within 1% of the 9700k @lofty light
Show me
well ofc they are because the are GPU bound on the tests
no
for crying out loud
it is just well beyond diminishing returns
one example
Yes, because games don't fucking use 16 threads. @sonic osprey
You gain nothing over a 9700k
Hmmmmm
let's say one thing
If you're playing at 1080p
on a fucking 9900k
you're plainly retarded
flat out
what the fuck, ofc you game on 1080p to max out fps
are you some filthy casual triple AAA gamer on console?
Do you have a 240hz monitor? @sonic osprey
Unless you have a rig that can power more than 240
Because last I checked
They've just got the 2k 240hz monitors now
144hz is enough for the time being, the 1440p 240hz might be interesting upgrade though
yes
but better get 2 2080ti for that
and there is no game a 9900k gets 144hz that a 9700k doesn't
or a 8600k for crying out loud
so you are butt hurt that someone buys the best cpu?
You are ignorant or just want to flex on people who don't give a shit
Lol
You can pick for yourself
Like you're flexing on us with your superior knowledge and choices?
that's me making sure people don't read that shit
and think that's a good idea
Did your teacher flex on you by teaching you Math? @lofty light
Thought so
Lol

Maybe not yours
just curious what cpu are you using turboclicker
8600
ah, makes sense now
yeah it sucks having sense
Price perf boy there then
Lol
I mean price difference between 9700k and 9900k is like what? 80-100euros?
don't worry kids I'll teach you the right way to live
also saying that games dont use more than 8 threads, well maybe for the time being, but people buying the top end gear will use their cpus for more than 2 years easily
:D?
so you keep buying some discount cpu every year then?
It's almost like games are showing trends of using more and more threads
but I know full well that both of us do not know where that's going
@lofty light Oh really?
Everything shows the opposite
Very few games use even 6 threads
Nonetheless fucking 16
The 9900k will be slow and old by the time games are consistently using 16 threads
It's almost like back in the day nothing used more than the 4 threads of an i5, but now they use enough for hyperthreading to be useful
umm r6 siege is using all cores and threads if I put them up on afterburner
#doubt
Hmmmmm
I also play siege
on 60fps i think

1600 can drive 144fps on siege like cake
Siege is GPU dependent like almost every other game
You're trying to flex but all you're doing is tiring yourself out

My whole argument was that you don't buy a 9900k to just play games
and you don't
If you play games and have something on the side that actually uses those threads sure
Same argument for Titan cards
if you only play games, just get a console
They're expensive af but they'll do the job better
@sonic osprey Oh? what do you do
compiling lots of c++ code
takes about 40minutes to compile the stuff I work on my work laptop
takes about 7-10minutes on 9900k
im not talking about some shit ball small scale c++ development
there is like 60k+ header files in the solution
compiled simultaneously on like ~60-70 c/c++ compiler processes
Then congrats
and hundreds of developers pushing stuff in daily for like 100+ commits
you still fit what I said
I still fit what I said?
It is quite good value
I expect to go 2-3 more years without needing an upgrade
You know, especially since the 1600 was what made Intel go to 6 core i5s
they'd still be selling 4 core processsors if it wasn't for AMD releasing the 1600/1700
Cool
Thanks
ding ding ding we have amd fan value over performance
No I would love to have a 9900k
if I didn't bend over and let Intel have a turn with my brownstar before I get it
It isn't even about value
Ah, now I see why you dislike it
I'm proud
truly
@lofty light I have nothing against the 9900k
just like I have nothing against hammers
Exactly, but you hate Intel
I don't
I think I know better than you what I dislike and like
but who knows, maybe you know more about me
I do
is that a wedding vow?
Like I was saying, easier example, I don't have anything against say, a excavator
but if you buy a excavator to dig a hole for your tomato plants you might be a bit mental
and if you buy a 9900k to play video games you probably are too
💒
However, you ignore the point that the 9900K does show better perf than others and is best ATM so it has an argument for just gaming
If an excavator is going to do it faster for more expensive and you can afford it why not?
That gamersnexus link shows all I need to say
9900k is 1-5% better
If you're willing to pay 20% more (that's just for the CPU, you'll be paying a lot for that cooling too) for a 9900k then ok, do you
and when prices drop on the i7s again it will be closer to 40%
As I said before, it's the same as a Titan card
9900K is a good CPU for game streaming
I realize recently people have opted to switch to a singular PC setup
but it's still not efficient
it's one of the best options if you want to record BFV at 1080p 60 fps
dual PC stream setup is still much more efficient
9700K does get slightly higher performance in games
that it does
At least unless you can actually overclock the 9900k past 5Ghz with your cooling
and good fucking luck at that
IMO if you're spending the money for a 9900K you shouldn't be cheaping out on the cooling anyway
It's not even cheaping out
You need top of the line cooling to overclock a 9900k
A "Pretty good" cooler won't do it
yeah some dude on war thunder discord got a 9900K and he can't get to 5 GHz stable on it with a 360mm AIO
Hell I got a 2080ti and put a huge rad on it
my 9900k is stable at 5ghz on 240mm rad, not an aio though
gonna be 240+360 when i get my waterblocked 2080ti, then some some oc is gonna happen most definately
So you mean you custom looped it
ofc, and gonna get the direct die frame from der8auer
You pretty much have to custom loop to get 5Ghz
And that's what you should be doing if you're spending the money on a 9900K
you do any glass bending for the tubes?
Idk why people still think AIOs are actually enough
It's a halo product
nah just soft tubing
still 2 weeks for the 2080ti though until I can stuff the gear in the define s2
They want to confuse everyone even more
Lol
maybe 16GB of vram is relevant
AMD saw it coming after all
Who know how to fix the single story?
I prefer to fix the multi story
what it mean??
@buoyant rover because a 280mm AIO beats out every air cooler on the market
A D15 is about equal to a meh 240mm
This is what my boss sent on our company Facebook page
Pretty sure d15 is beating pretty much every 240mm over 30-60 minutes
unless some new one popped out in last year or so
as in every 240mm asetek cooler
I did notice a drop in perf when I swapped from my D15 to a 240 rad
asetek coolers have like 60L/H pumpthroughput
But it's good not having a gigantic stack of blades that cut me up every time I access the computer
why isnt rivatuner or msi afterburner fps osd not working on bf v?
and its also toggled in rivatuner to show the osd?
hello !
whan i want to start a game i have this error
any idea?
error code : -34601
its in the screenshot an error occured : code -34601
impossible to log in a game :c
im getting the same thing @stable trail
😮
however it works if i use the server browser, instead of quick match
so its maybe a serv error
yea i think so
ty btw
np
does anyone know how to update lenovo g700 drivers? i have never updated anything apart from windows updates
just go to lenovo, look for drivers, and match models and dl that
i remember when ccleaner got hacked ages ago is it okay to use it still
I just want a Meshify C that is slightly larger
So I can fit longer GPUs, a 360mm radiator in the front, and a 280mm+ in the top
It only needs like 2in more
Oh and proper E-ATX support, might as well add integrated water cooling (fill / drain)
lol
@trail cypress my friend runs bfv off a 6300, 16gb ram, and a 1050ti
$400 for a Vega 64 is pretty tempting
I have 16gb ram and a 1060 6gb
so, youre already at a better spot than him
i told you my cpu
what settings does he play on ? and what average frames does he get ?
Meshify C Extreme or whatever dumb shit they would call it (Meshify X)
360mm x2 rad support, 25mm+ thickness
300-320mm GPU support with 50-75mm clearance for fans + rad
E-ATX support
Uh hinges for the side panel
Metal front panel
Fill / drain ports
Might as well add RGB
Add $50 for RGB alone (because muh RGB)
@trail cypress i just now pmed him, doubt he even knows, he hardly pays attention to fps and probably doesnt have a counter on
oof
(On bf1 i mainly play everything low, except mesh quality on ultra)
so sub 60fps with big drops
why does the RX 580 crush the GTX 1060 6GB in BFV
dx11 or dx12?
and overclocks?
in both
Thanks for watching, not sure whats up with the graph on the 1060 as it doesn't happen in DX12 mode or with other GPU's I have tested. Out of the box perform...
for example
DX12 > DX11
DX12 utilizes multicore performance more than DX11 I think
just try both
It doesn't say dx11 anywhere
@steep gust Pascal GPUs generally perform better on DX11
how do you change to dx11 ?
Now DX12 in BFV doesn't support multi GPU so that can be an issue
beta looks like 50 fps average https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r63PwhibN4
@trail cypress the 45-65 fps figure i gave requires decent ram. Id say 1866+ with decent timings
You base your figure on what you get in firefights and when being bombed
looking at a wall means nothing
I feel like you should be getting more than that as a 1060 seeing as i'm pretty sure my old 1050ti performed better than that
@keen forge battlefield is cpu capped most of the time
Thought so, what's his CPU again?
fx 6350
I run everything on low except mesh quality.
DX11 is recommended if you have GTX 900 series or lower tbh
and still get massive fps drops, 'sometimes'
although DX12 support on Maxwell is decent
fx 6350, 16gb and a 1060?
yeah
1060 6gb
dx12 is pretty buggy even for 1xxx cards
on bfv
only reason to use dx12 with 1070 is to disable future frame rendering
Nothing beats the AMD visual bug where player outlines stay on your screen during bleedout time
When i try and play operations, Its pretty much unplayable, stays at like 30 fps the whole time
Fx-6350 will get low performance on BFV
I figured
Battlefield 5 FPS Benchmark AMD CPU test Fx 8350 vs Ryzen 2600x on the Rx 480 8GB in 10180p (beta) MY Battlefield FPS Benchmarks: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Fx-8350 is capable of 60 fps
mainly because more cores
The fx series isn't incredible gaming - TMK they're designed more for workstations
the difference between the Fx series and Ryzen is stellar lol
It is
it is, but even overwatch soaks up ram and bfv is worse
Zen was a big step for AMD
now just wait for this summer
Fx-8350 to a Ryzen 5 1600 is like 40% difference in IPC
Zen 2: Electric boogaloo was a big improvement too
people were saying that Zen+ 12nm isn't true 12nm
What would be a good cpu that is not extremely expensive that could run bfv smoothly ? (70fps +)
1400
what is it? 12.35 nm?!
1600?
Ryzen 5 1400, if you don't want to overclock maybe a 2400G or 1500X
Seeing as zen 2 is out and zen 3 is coming soon, might be smart to wait. When it comes out you can probably bag yourself a super cheap 1600+
granted, anything you get is gonna require a new platform
I have a 1600, amazing core and thread count
so youre getting a mb and ram
I'm future proof for a long time with this cpu
the only thing you can do cheap is get an 8350
I have my old 1600 sitting around - probably the best price to performance. I don't get a massive amount more out of my 1800x
yeah an 8350 is the cheapest upgrade although you could get a 9370 if you have a good cooler and your power supply has the wattage
or you can get the 8370
1600 max overclock is 3.9 GHz, 4GHz if you're lucky
So best option is a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 ?
@trail cypress you will need a new motherboard and RAM for Ryzen
it's a whole new platform
Yes @trail cypress but you also need an AM4 mobo
shit
Which is the problem with upgrading
am good
Tbh if there ever was a time to buy ddr4 its now, preferrably before 3xxx is released
i know i would have to replace my ram, but forgot bout motherboard
@trail cypress what we really need is a budget
even then, suggestions are probably to wait as long as you can for ryzen 3
you're only option with your current platform is the Fx-8370 or the Fx-8350 @trail cypress
Are DDR4 prices acceptable now? I bought my RAM when RAM was super expensive so I bought 1 stick of 8 and waited until it was cheaper
ram atm is usually 16gb around 3000mhz at 120 bucks
Goddamn
Prices in norway for non b-die is around 60% of what it previously was
you can get G.Skill Aegis 3000 MHz 2x8GB for $100
b-die barely dropped
lol pc's so expensive its bs
stonezy you can get a 1600 and a mobo for £200, but not your RAM
IIR my mobo prices correctly
even a Ryzen 3 kills a Fx-6350
with 200 usd budget
Ryzen really was a game changer
hopefully the rumors are true of Ryzen 3rd gen having 6 core cpu for $100
I'm sorry what's that now?
Base 3.2 as well? My word it's just a 1600 xD
That's crazy
also 50W tdp
Big if true
btw if those specs are true - GL finding any AMD cpu for sale
it will be like GPU market during mining boom
will probs just end up going for a fx 8370 or 8350. Even if it doesn't improve performance, I need a new cpu anyway as my 6350 is on the verge of dying as i have had it since launch pretty much.
I wish games utilised higher core counts better
I'd be happy if they just gave Ryzen 3 hyperthreading lol
8350 is like minimum for decent 60fps so youre good with it
which is better ?
