and I feel like I'd be doing a disservice to myself if I learned how to spot those differences ๐
but some people scorn at that
yeah
in the audio world, ignorance really is bliss xD
DONT learn the differences, and be happy
exactly ๐
i wish their was audio reviewers who went in completely blind
so many reviewers know everything about the equipment and i think that messes with their perception
it has to
some reviewers do run blind tests, and afaik the results are often pretty much what you'd expect
i.e. no big difference between 320kbps mp3 vs flac, no big difference between a $200 dac/amp vs a $1000 one
but I suppose if you do know how to spot the differences, and are willing to spend that money on diminishing returns
then go ahead
right, im not trying to shun people and buying things they want
yeah no, to each their own
r/headphones is definitely interesting to follow when you have people from both sides of the argument ๐
but lets keep things in perspective and say that spending like 1k on an amp gets you like 10% more performance than a 100 dollar amp
It's the ol' price to performance ratio curve - decreasing returns as you spend more
i dont reddit
๐ฎ
but i read stuff there and yea, its one side thats 20k audio set up, vs 500 dollar set up
20k dude says its 1000x better
500 dollar dude says hes an idiot
oof
and then you got people saying apple earpods are good for them
For lots of people high price = high performance, doesn't matter the actual performance, just the way they perceive the returns for what they spent

have you seen the jds lab atom amp?
I have not, but I've seen it mentioned a few times
I assume it's pretty good for its price?
๐ฎ
This may be a super dumb question, but is it normal to have a mic that needs a battery?
a MIC that needs a battery?
thought not
never heard of that...
Bought this piece of crap off amazon, didn't say anywhere it needed a bloody battery
lol link?
sec, see if I can remember what its called

yea this guy you recommended is good
which guy?
martin rubashov
reminds me of jose gonzalez
oo, haven't listened to him, maybe I should check them out
slightly different styles
Need help...
whats up
Ok I can't find it, but it takes an LR44 and i'm sick of buying an expensive-ass battery pack every month or so - what's a good relatively cheap mic that doesn't need a blooming battery to run?
massdrop minimic
its 25 bucks, good quality
the problem though, is that adhesion is apparently shit on it
It's about the bios. I have a G752VSK with Bios 304, but the web leaves G752VS with bios 310. Should I update it?
Or will it cause me problems?
g752vsk is model #?
Asus rog.
that's not a model # xD
when i put that in it brings up a laptop
atm im not seeing a difference between the two
but im not gonna approve updating bios
if youre not having problems i wouldnt mess with it
Dumb question #2 today - is an adhesive mic permanent or can it be removed and put back on again many times (say, daily)? I'd assume the latter
Then I better not touch any of that.
the minimic has 2 parts, the base that has 1 side with sticky tape, and the other side is velcro
the other part is the other velcro side that is attached to the mic
If you've got no BIOS problems right now @desert bear don't update - 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'
Ok! Ty xD
so basically, if you could get your own mounting solution, youll be golden
no one complains about mic quality
all the bad reviews are from a bad unit ( to be expected ), or complaining about the mounting
There are lots of bad reviews on massdrop
yeaa...
lol
audio comparison
i like the minimic slightly more
modmic costs around 50 bucks too
The wireless one is like ยฃ100
ah shit youre not in america?
yea i hear shipping from massdrop to euro is a pain
and not worth it
@keen forge Actually you want to update your BIOS to the recent one anyways
Being months behind can have some issues
but if hes not having issues...
Yeah I'm English - everyone seems to only ship to america
and it can also help depending on your platform with a lot of things
If your motherboard doesn't have dual BIOS and some form of BIOS update / flashback then its really fucking cheap
BIOS chips cost nothing, same with the software to do BIOS flashbacks
thinking about rolling back a BIOS update, think I started having problems with the most recent one
ยฃ50 on amazon, free shipping
But there are offers for like ยฃ100+, not sure how people figure that one
lol weirdos
if youre lookig for a desktop mic the samson go and fifine 669b are good
That samson go looks cool
Is there a major difference in quality between the fifine k669 and 669b?
im a failure
xD you seem to know your stuff on headphones and mics
errrrr, not 100% certain but i think that one pics up audio all around
so it will get keyboards pretty easily
@steep gust what do you think about Raspberry Pi 3 B+? looking for something that can run N64 emulator at 30 fps or higher
I type + use my keyboard very loudly, I think that's gonna be a problem with every mic really

for that a minimic scenario would be best, gets it furthest away and they are usually unidirectional
dunno much about Raspberry Pis
OR you could get aliaz switches and be silent af with your keyboard
@keen forge i own this mic and use it with a mic arm so i could lower volume and have it pick the keyboard up a lil less and it seems to be fine for the money https://www.amazon.co.uk/Condenser-Microphone-Computers-Recording-Chatting/dp/B06XB7RPCH/ref=sr_1_6?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1546728989&sr=1-6&keywords=sf-666
Goddamn thatโs a good price, mic quality acceptable and all that?
I mean itโs not like Iโm streaming or anything, chatting with mates mostly
yea seems to do fine no hissing or anything
if you live with a lot of people id def close the door as it can pick up people like my loud mom a lot but other then that seems fine
Sweet thanks mate

@latent light Man I love leaks with no factual base
We know Nvidia will go 7nm, TSMC has the node
Its more of a question of when
definitely not this year lol
yea gamer meld is a mostly useless channel literally only does rumors
Game is constantly crashing again.
Was good for a week and not the game will crash as soon as i go into match and begin to move.
I though it was my in-game settings so I am adjusting them to see if that is helping, but very little (I am noticing I am staying in a bit longer)
Anyone else having this issue? My drivers all up to date
And the game does not seem to be saving my configurations I am making in the video options
1070 GPU i7 2600k at 3.5 Ghz
16GB RAM
sometimes I feel like new drivers can cause more issues
I truly hate how much bs I have to go through just to play a game.
if anyone else have the 999 ping problem on pc, just exit OneDrive, it fixed it for me
very confused on why State 5 voltage is 1200 mV at stock

make no sense lol
why would 1255 MHz clock speed use 1200 mV but 1340 MHz use 1150 mV
kool
@latent light That is why you undervolt
what
I've been told that I should only change the State 6 and State 7
Anything under those is pointless

this is a nice touch
I heard that the mobile APUs weren't any good
Hey Guys! Think you could build a better budget Gaming PC than this? http://a.co/07329z1 . I am looking for something no more than $800 for a college buddy of mine. Please message me! Thanks!
holy...in my country with $800 you can build a monster gaming pc
You can build a 800 gaming pc here too
I also have a 908 euro pc build if someone needs it(Ping me)
@stable sluice Ryzen 5 2600 is probably a better option than the 1700 and costs $40 less
mainly because the boost clock and higher single core performance
does the 5 2600 come with a fan?
yep
the only Ryzen CPUs that don't have a stock cooler is the 1600X, 1700X, and 1800X
the X or Wraith stealth cooler? im guessing stealth one cus thats teh cheaper one
yeah the stealth
is that better than the 1700?
1700 has the wraith spire I think which the the heatsink is like 20mm thicker
than the stealth
the temperatures are similar though
idk if I can recommend the MSI Armor RX 580 too
it will get to around 87C under load
my friend has it and it runs super hot
because the MSI Armor cooler is just garbage lol
Hmmm good to know, I had the 1060 in there previously but to cut costs added the 580 isntead
Torn between which of these three now to tell him since you brought that up:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WP5YCX6/?coliid=IEP7D50OUNULH&colid=ZOHFIN5JZCTV&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
yeah the 2600X is good
has the wraith spire cooler
which is the same cooler that the 1700 has
2600X vs the 1700
if you want to spend $200, get the 2600X
if you want to save money, the 2600
might as well get 2600 save $30 as 2600x wont really perform much better in games
2600X only has around 200 MHz higher boost clock
True ^^^
havent looked into it but doesnt xfr2 just oc by itself too right?
if theres headroom
Ryzen CPUs overclock themselves but sometimes exaggerate on the voltage lol
ah
only got a 1600 and thats where im calling it for a few years so i dont pay attention too much to software stuff
my 1600 would turbo to 3.8 GHz at 1.4v
now I have manual overclock set to 3.8 GHz with dynamic voltage offset
only goes to 1.37v now
@stable sluice look for a Sapphire Nitro or a Gigabyte RX 580
Sapphire has the best ones
but had to turn off oc because of its audio issue in battlefield
@latent light think your link messed up
ye
does anyone know how one would go about obtaining a key for windows 10 64 bit
ebay and g2a sites are shady or you can buy / download on Microsoft site
also too lazy to write out resellers but if u go on pcpartpicker and any reseller on there selling it for ~$100 they are also legit like newegg and amazon
alright
Buy it from Microsoft directly
G2A / ebay are generally not legit keys
or bought with illegal methods (ie stolen credit cards)
you use your OS everyday, you can afford $80 once
how do i do that can i just go on their website
and won't it give me the os too because i already have that and don't need it
g2a/ebay sell OEM keys
it's not illegal
it's just OS keys that were configured to be linked to your motherboard and only used once
a retail key goes for $80+
uh no
You can buy OEM keys
They are still like $80
and also not suppose to be sold because they are made for pre built and office machines
So still a legal gray area
ye
and Microsoft could easily invalidate them if they wanted to
I find it hard that you guys justify legal gray areas / straight illegal shit (G2A) to save money on something you will use everyday and expect to work everyday
Microsoft is not required to do security updates for free but yet they do
and you can easily kill all the telemetry in Win10 so its not like they would be making any form of money off of you (even fi they did, individual user data is worthless to companies. They want thousands of users to help with marketing)
unlikely that microsoft will invalidate the keys
Doesn't make it okay to do
ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
I don't mind g2a as long as it works properly
G2A is full of keys bought with stolen credit cards that cost companies making the game money
True a large majority of the keys are obtained like that
but if it were such an issue, companies should do something about it
cause they obviously can
e.g. Ubisoft
They really can't
Yes they can
Ubisoft prevented all NA keys from being sold outside of their platform
For Honor NA keys were absent for a long while
and they already lost the money on the credit card chargeback
or just don't sell keys
digital marketplace means you never actually need to see the key to buy a game
big shrug
the sellers in these marketplaces steal these keys to make profit off of them
if they can't sell it
they're only losing money
Like pirating games at least doesn't cost anyone money
and I'll be honest, I have pirated games
But then bought it, saves myself the time of going through steam refund if its shit
Why pay for a key when you can just have your friend who works at a tech shop give you a key
As a game developer i could care less if someone pirates it, they werent going to buy it regardless.
watching the nvidia ces
nothing special but
they're still trying to show off rtx
:lll
best tech ever released
KD up 136%
can see reflection of someone coming in water when i couldnt before, totes OP
๐ฉ still probably gonna wait for the next series idk
Betting on Navi in doing something about the rtx
imo people who are dissing rtx do not understand the ramifications of the released tech, but what ever floats your boat to make it past the day is fine by me
I mean, it is special for consumers ๐ค
don't need to invest in a gsync monitor for vrr on nvidia cards anymore
or 100โฌ+
yeah, but e.g. MG279Q vs. PG279Q is 100โฌ+ difference
I'm not googling what those are
(though apparently MG279Q has a pretty terrible adaptive sync range)
they're two 1440p 144hz IPS monitors from asus
one's gsync, the other's freesync
I have a freesync monitor with nvidia gpu
but I'm about to drop that gpu if the 30xx series is as good as it sounds
nmf nvidia likes to screw around with consumers
also Naek probably doesn't understand what ramifications mean if he's trying to say that RTX is a major upbringing
which it isn't atm
RTX is a neat feature but it's not ready for consumer use, nor that imperative
wtf you babbling about? "not ready for consumer use" it is already ready for consumer use, not in high refresh rate but it is ready.
l m a o
"babbling"
sure let's buy some overpriced cards that don't match up with performance, with technology that technically existed, doesn't support a large amount of games, and dips performance by about half
yikes
Cause you got nothing to say
ICYMI - BioWare's new IP (Anthem) will have Nvidia DLSS (RTX) support.

Very exciting. It's an amazing game
and then they well make amd cards on this game look bad
some games just optimize for nvidia and a little for amd
RTX2060 ANNOUNCED
Oh yes @quaint topaz
1 more game for my 2080ti โค๏ธ
You Gotta be my teammate Right
Of course
ah yes, rtx support and massive frame drops for AMD cards by bts massive terrain tesselation and other scummy actions
Do people have better fps playing on low or medium tex?
I feel like I get better max fps on low but more stable on medium
I had everything on low and it was fine, but I do have gsync
holy shit nvidia implemented adaptive sync
i figured they wouldnt do that until amd is competitive in gpu scene
a vega 64 used to be competitive with gtx 1080 only because gsync tax adds 100-200 usd to price on monitor
AMD usually has better driver support for older cards too but people who buy high end components usually upgrade every year or two
also
Nvidia is joining FreeSync
finally
well idk if it's true yet but a lot of people are talking about it
They only have 12 monitors supported so far
but it's interesting
The Max-Q laptops were also interesting but are hyper priced
adaptive sync
who cares
they are probably asking money for endorsement
but on driver level you can enable it
manually
There is a small catch however. Jensen Huang claims that after testing approximately 400 monitors on the market, only 12 are deemed to be worthy of bearing the "G-SYNC CAPABLE" moniker. These 12 are:
Acer XFA240
Acer XZ321Q
Acer XG270HU
Acer XV273K
Agon AG241QG4
AOC G2590FX
Asus MG278Q
Asus XG248
Asus VG258Q
Asus XG258
Asus VG278Q
BenQ Xl2740

mhm
so much for adaptive sync ๐
RTX 2060 was kinda lackluster in price to performance
eh
that.. sounds pretty damn good to me
with rt
no
rtx 2060 doesnt have ray tracing?
i mean, even without it at 1070ti perf for 350 thats not bad
supposed rx 3080 is 1080 at 300-350
while a 1070 ti is like $50 less used
ye
drop rt and put out something cheaper
^
did they announce a GTX 1160 with same performance but no RTX for less than $300?
Nope
if not, not interested
when is amds showing?
Wednes
wednesday
hopefully they stomp nvidia
yes pls
people were talking about how nvidia is gonna burn out amd in a different chat in regards to freesync
but it's like
"wow they have to stoop to amd standards to compete"
funny what stocks could do ๐
thing is, people choose Nvidia even when AMD is a little more better value
That's because Nvidia's cards are more reliable
GTX 1060 vs RX 580 for example
mhm mhm
they aren't really more reliable lol
AMD cards have longevity in driver support
HD 5000 series still has driver support

jesus
which came out like a decade ago I think
because with similar price and similar perf amd cards typically ran hotter and needed more power
so if you were paying the bill, at SOME point the amd card would cost you more
and thats if the up front cost needed a better psu
still
stuff like the Vega 64 could outdue a 1080/2070 on some things
idk
yea but vega 64 came out at way higher prices for the longest time
mhm
HBM2 memory is expensive
^
even though it came down at some point, it was too late
it's very late
public perception was already established
it was only recent
Vega with GDDR5 would of been significantly cheaper to make
which is what they should of done
i hope amd doesnt fuck this up
this is such a rare scenario that nvidia totally drops the ball
they've dropped it since 2017
if they can do GTX 1080/Vega 64 performance for $300, they will be golden
yep
even 350
I wouldn't mind switching to amd for a while if they can provide what's lost
I'm more excited for Ryzen 3000 than Navi though
sadly i dont need gpu upgrades atm
I just wanna upgrade my gpu since I'm planning on doing another build
why another?
well
I've done upgrades and built things before
but my current pc was prebuilt made by someone else off of a deal
and so I got bad ram sticks that kept blue screening my pc
eventually caused mobo errors that constantly need to be checked
so I need to replace it basically
bad mem sticks even at stock?
I dont think it was stock
they were 4x2 g.skill sticks I think
but they were broke
so like
they would replace the parts but
at the price of shipping being 100$
and a 2 week wait
I think memory is the only component for PCs that have never been DOA for me
so I just went to best buy and bought 2 x 8 sticks for 100$
lmao
yeha
It was fucky
I opened the case before plugging it in and some of the stuff was a bit loose
was very annoyed
my front room build gets bsod but only on certain games
oof
makes no sense to me
i assume theres problem with the game but idk
dark souls remaster crashes often
but ill play something else for hours, no problems
I hate the basic PC gray color

so ye
I'm making a new build to replace the mobo and so I can upgrade into a better cpu for the future

Performs 10% worse than a 2070 cost 40% less
2070 = MSRP of a 1080 that released two and a half years ago. With a handful of features that can only be used in a handful of games, games like BFV which is a flop. 2018 is the year corporations thumbed their noses at consumers in both gaming and hardware and instead of making the 1080 cheaper, they just discontinued it to force people to buy their new crap.
Better to put it towards a gpu than kindle for fire
minimum 2070 is 500
and it's sold by evga
kept reading that their cards fail like a week after
I saw a 1080 for only like $450 back in october
must've been a miracle
it's what people were reporting
๐คท
was wondering why it was getting average ratings
rtx 2060 is nice tho
evga is like, everyones recommended gpu brand
waiting for AMD announcement on wednesday
amd announcemnt in 2 days
going to be like "it's Wednesday my dudes, aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

grim's gonna get the big ecks dee that day
watch them not announce anything good
i have a r9 280

fucking big ass card
amd pls save us
my god grim, i just now realized thats a beak on your icon
i thought it was an open mouth
yeah it's a parrot

TSMC only does AMD CPUs
200โฌ for the new elgato keylight
my god. apparently there are 3 different memory options for the 2060
no
?
590 was as good as the Polaris architecture can get
it's basically a high binned 580
even though there is some architecture changes compared to the 580
for the price no
@storm osprey Three memory configurations with two different memory types
@latent light different manufacturing node so it's not a binned 580
so 6 in total?
necessary
4K on that big of a screen will look pixelated
Unless you are 30+ feet away
Has to be for public displays
possibly
ok
so
heres the thing
so I've been playing bf4 lately, and i used to play bf1 in ps4, recently I regained for the game, and I wanna play it in pc... but pc specs arent the best...
Do you think i can run it ?
Intel I5 6600 (not the k version, making it the problem)
16GB DDR4
GTX 1060 6GB
240GB SSD
1TB HDD
Do you think this is enough? Any tips???
iw ant it at 60fps 1080p
easily enough
yea
1060 6gb is like THE 1080p card
i5 6600 is a 4core cpu which is a good fit
16gb is gold standard
my only fear is the cpu
its fine
here is the sutiuation tho
i have 8gb of ddr4 and i put it at 16 beacuse i was thinking about doing an upgrade (sdd was also inclueded in this upgrade)
and i found a rellly good deal for an i 7700 k
like -100 euro
7700k wont work on a 6600 mb
asus prime b250m plus
but the question is do i go for cpu or ram and ssd?
you just wont be able to overclock it
yea it will work
dont really overclock stuff
of your build?
the weakest link for bf1 would be ram imo
but really, 8gb should be fine
id reccomend ssd and ram then cpu
ture
which is a want other than a need kinda thing
true
wait do u only have a hdd?
bf1 load times arent bad on hdd
ehh
i would just use the stuff you have now
seriously, those are all like the "needed" things
wait until you NEED to upgrade in a couple of years
dual channel ram is always optimal
you cant just slap in ram and expect it to work
ideally you would have to buy ANOTHER 16gb kit
i did my research
not just 1 stick of 8gb
i found the same one
as long as it's the same model, same capacity and same speed it should work fine
yeah
SHOULD
no guarantees
i definitely wouldnt say it will work for it to not work and you blame me
(not saying thats the scenario)
6600 will run anywhere from 70-100% usage on BF1 multiplayer
might see some stutter occasionally
yee
id expect at least 60 fps ultra out of your current specs
the cpu upgrade would be nice for the long run
MAYBE dip below
what r ur specs?
4790, 1080, 16gb ddr3 ram for 1440p monitor
low settings for more frames/better visibility
the reason I got a Ryzen 5 1600 in the first place is because I was tired of Intel's quad-core CPUs and how expensive they were
then coffee lake came out months later
also, even though you can get a 7700k, thats a 4c8t cpu, new intel cpus are 6c12t or 8c8t
but at least I can upgrade to new gen soon without needing a new motherboard
^
i would 100% say just use what you got till you feel you need more, then upgrade then
but will it be stable 60 fps? im downloading the trial now
60fps would be your min imo
paid only $160 for my R5 1600, 6 cores/12 threads, can stream any games at 1080p 60 fps with no issues whatsoever
thats the thing though, amd cpus dont do high fps like intel
but they do streaming better
pros and cons
usually Intel has 10% higher average fps, but Ryzen usually has better 1% lows
the cpu wont last long but maybe ill wait this year and maybe get a summer jobe and pay it
._.
well the cpu race has changed a bit since the 6600
same goes for bf5 right?
and its about to change more once amd drops their 3xxx series
the specs are the same
BF5 is way more CPU demanding for some reason
ok
it still works
6600 will run the game but it can't play it and livestream it at the same time
bfv just scales weird
well i jsut wanna play it
yeah it will run pretty well
but getting a better cpu would increase frames
will it fry my cpu?
no
i bet my pc will sound like a mf airplane
errr possibly
your specs arent bad at all
they are basically the perfect 1080p specs
60fps
hell if you lower settings youll easily get higher fps
i bet youll get more than 60 on ultra settings
no, lower settings = higher CPU bottleneck lol
it wouldnt just lower his fps though
lowering setting creates more stress for the CPU
sarcastic?
most games are still gpu bound
and nothing so dramatic to where lower settings would have a negative impact
if you play at low settings, the average fps will go up but you will see more frametime spikes, which is also known as stutter
basically youre fps will fluctuate more
yeah fluctuating fps is annoying lol
i got gsync so i dont even notice
1060 6GB will handle BFV at high/ultra settings 60 fps easy
can i get fixd 60 fps at mid settings?
i dont really want to hear an airplane while im playing vdya
my RX 580 gets 85-90 fps on Ultra settings 1080p with occasional dips to the 70s
then again, Battlefield games run great on amd graphic cards
wait, bf has a monitor cap setting
sure bout that?
stutterville
id takes more frames over anything any day
BFV with a GTX 1060 and a 120hz monitor isn't going to run well
yeah but i want something that is fixd and doesnt fluxuacte
just cap the fps to 60 if you can
yeah that is what i was thinking
an i5-6600 won't allow a 1060 to go above 100 fps stable on BFV
yeah
ill just keep it at 60 then
i can get used to it
so just to round things up
i buy the ram and jsut wait to buy cpu
wtf that 1060 in that video is only getting 90-100 fps on low settings with a Ryzen 5 1600 lmao
when I play on low with RX 580 I get 120-130 fps
yo @storm osprey ^
ah I see the problem, video description says 4x4GB 2133 mhz ram

don't run 2133 mhz ram with ryzen

recommended to get 2666 MHz or better
this is showing that a 6600 and 1600 are roughly the same in performance
I don't think a 6600 supports over 2400 MHz ram
cant find anything showing bfv only
feffy so jsut to summ things up should i wait to buy cpu and upgrade the ram? 8gb ยป 16gb
sadly non k is not common
and theres a lot of factors for performance
if you need/want to upgrade, ram makes the most sense to me
you can at least put that into another build
sounds like they have 1 8gb stick saying they want 16gb and they said they found matching ram
yea, id say get the same exact ram you already have
okok
and just wait and see how it performs
yeah one 8GB stick means you are running single channel
ye
7700k at 100 is a good deal though
but for 1080p gaming with a 1060 you dont need it
you'll see significant performance gains from getting another stick because dual channel = dual bandwidth
i found 7700k 275euro
tbh best CPUs to pair with a GTX 1060 is the i5-8400 or the Ryzen 5 1600/2600
but both are not supported by his mb
i know lol
you can buy a motherboard for both of those type of CPUs for $60
wednesday is when next gen Ryzen CPUs are officially announced
ill stick with the ram upgrade for the moment
likely we will see a 6-core CPU for only $100
adios
Friendly reminder
if you're going to build a PC
and willing to get GIGABYTE products, make sure you get Aorus products and nothing old generation.
The profiles on my GTX 1070 G1 Gaming aren't saving, and my RGB is now stuck to pink because I have an Aorus motherboard and older generation GPU

RIP my +10% red RGB speed boost.
help
all the videos i watch are super zoomed in on low res and in hd it its black and white
Anyone know why I canโt see chat log on playstation even though I turn it to โshowโ pls tag me.
@quaint topaz Aorus makes such horrible accompanying software though... like, really bad.
I'd take a Windows 95-style GUI over their stuff, seriously. It's so laggy, buggy, and poorly thought out, but it's the only way to control their shoddy profile implementations. And since the last iteration on my 1050Ti under the new build, it's gotten worse--I can't manage anything anymore. No thank you. ๐ฆ
I'm not recommending gigabyte, but if somebody were to do so, just get matching models
I typically like their hardware, it's solid. But agreed, the software is a nightmare.
Like damn, they released RGB Fusion 2.0, which is the exact same as 1.0
Which is weird, because the previous iteration of the profile manager looked legit. I don't know wtf they did to that team, but this stuff.. bro.
RGB Fusion, lol.. that shit man... I can't even.
It doesn't even run on my machine.

It shows up as just a gray box, no options, not a damn thing.
This MSI board is legit though, controls any RGB connected to the board. Crazy.
I like Corsairs software a lot, same for Asus too
I kinda think that has something to do with why the AORUS software is DOA now or something.
Yeah, Corsair is pretty easy to use.
It's intuitive enough, drag and drop, etc.
Haven't even heard of it.
Must be pretty awful.
I'm way past my bedtime, gotta be up for work in three hours. Night!
Night
Just don't get Gigabyte cards anymore
The Aorus 1080ti was the worst cooler for any of the cards despite being gigantic
Plus their customer service is subpar
My old 970 G1 cards though......those were well built and sexy af
Anyone tell me why chat log doesnโt show up in ps4 even though I turned it to โshowโ? ;/
Still getting the annoying crash to desktop
I have tried pretty much everything, drivers, game settings, validating files, memory management, nothing seems to work and with no errors im pretty lost now
@sullen lichen the loading screen issue on bf v or discord ?
if is the bf v issue , then add an Administrator account on windows 10 and play the game from the Admin account you created
this should fix infinite loading screen issue on pc
No no, the issue is I am playing game then it freezes for a minute goes to black screen and returns me to desktop
lmao thats why i use Asus ROG
huh?
gigabyte is ass
u ar as :mad
My gigabyte motherboard and GPU both have their own problems lol
On text chat to EA technical help, let's see if they can diagnose my issue
lol
Gigabyte has the best Z390 motherboards
not all products under the same brand are the same
I thought ea help were bing useful, then he tried saying my 1700x cpu didnt meet minimum spec
lmao
https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/adxpi1/crash_to_desktop/ resorted to reddit now instead xD
i mean he was literally out of ideas and did this https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-6600K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-1700X/3503vs3915
yeah the system is nice
exactly
i can see why he didn't think it was much better when just compairing the 2
soon changed his mind when i sent a comparison to the 8350 ๐
crashes seem to be caused by windows or maybe some type of software
Battlefield V doesn't like overclocks apparently
if your 1700X is overclocked, drop it some
same for your GPU
hmm
1700X does do auto overclocking
well all modern CPUs have boost
you could go into your BIOS and deactivate it I think
hmm i could try it but i doubt its that tbh
put your 1700X to 3.5 GHz at 1.275v
should be able to do that easily
also check if your memory is set to correct speed
memory is at correct speed, will try the clock lock and see if that has any impact
Apparently I don't have permission to upload photos
But a bit yeah just more red and slightly different options
trusted and above get perms for images
look for the setting that automatically boosts your CPU clock speed
yeah done
Done let's see
You can't really see how big it is
65'' monitor with soundbar
we have a 70" 4K TV in our living room
Unfortunately @latent light No joy, just crashed again
probably firewall then
default windows one?
turn off wirewall and see if it crashes
okai
try running BFV as administrator and also set the priority to high in the task manager
what does windows event viewer list after the crash
I have added the crash logs to this topic I have on EA
Think I'm going to reinstall windows and see if that fixes the issue
We saw the MSI RTX 2080 Ti Lightning at CES 2019 and were permitted to partially disassemble the video card. This is a new OC GPU. Ad: Buy Gigabyte's Z390 Ma...

Intel is going to launch 10nm laptop CPUs this year

@latent light but has your TV 144hz HDR

welp windows installed, time to install everything else
wtf is this for?
for gaming
mostly yeah
yeah i feel like getting it
like... whoa
its weird some people say the cpu sucks
but i wanna do a x299 build and the i9 9700k is a 1511 socket
its not ideal for gaming
That, is not a gaming pc
^
if youre doing OTHER stuff thats fine
but this is not a recommended gaming build
ill put it this way a good rule is cpu should be less or equal to GPU for gaming, even getting a 1080 for this is silly. If you want top end at 2000 you shouldnt be looking at a 1000 series nvidia card. Drop atleast half the ram
and go for a 2070/2060
theres so much i would change...
oh yeah i would completely rebuild and stay away from the CPU ahah
I am doing other stuff as well
running VMs
video editing
but i felt like doing quad channel ram, lots of it
pubg runs well with that much fast ram
how about this
