cpu fan?
Ohhhhhhh
Rip
Oh yeah that's the issue you've been talking about this whole time
Rip
Time to switch to asus
I think my sound quality actually improved with this board vs my old
that board has bluetooth 5.0?
yea.. nice
mine has 4.4, but i mean i just wouldnt want to lose BT
cause i started playing RL with wireless
no more cord!
even though now i cant play 😄
hmm.. im not even sure ive tried wired
Can always get a bluetooth adapter
maybe BT is causing insane issues
...

I'd laugh if that was the issue the whole time
BT for rocket league
Hey bluetooth is still a thing dont hate
input isnt as important
Use it for my xbox controller
how else you gonna connect xbox to pc?
is it not BT?
it works via wireless or what?
Yah
you know what the scariest thing in the world is?
typing your pw so fast and hitting enter and it not being in the pw box you expected and don't know if it went anywhere or nowhere
what sucks is all the sales are over
i paid $180 for this board, stupid other boards are fkin $240
how do you uncap the framerate in the menu
fps in the bfv menu is around like 40fps
ui and background video looks a little choppy
this audio thing might work out in my favor
trying to get a refund RMA when it states they only allow replacement, but now i can use that $50 to drop the Asus board down to what i paid for the ASRock
if they arpprove a refund..
regarding RGB yea my video card covers half of it so not like its critical but now i may need fans for christmas 😄
glad i didnt send in the MIR
they wouldnt be able to process anything through newegg if i had
@red ingot that board has a 4x2 phase VRM and not 8? =/
Idk
yeah again 😮 after a ccleaner wipe, fresh graphics drivers, repaired game.. maby time to do os next -.-

Oof
that sounds like a driver issue though?
weird that it didnt solve itself by reinstalling them, but you might get more help there
can only tell me about TCP and UDP in port forwarding ?
I see LAN and WAN ports. not sure what to enter in those slots. also Destination. no idea what thats meant to contain
Website gives a whole bunch of numbers. unsure if im meant to just add them all.
IMPEPESOSHUTTHEFUCKUP is trolling peaple and earraping and he admited it to
Modmail sir
🔨
@prime jasper What drivers did you try?
Also make sure you have no extra drivers installed
I use DDU in safe mode to uninstall GPU drivers
It gets rid of everything that has any connection with the old drivers
Does anyone else get stuttery movement with their gun in Battlefield 1 and Battlfield V, when the game isn't locked to 60fps?
When I lock the game to 60fps, the problem goes away, but when it isn't my gun kinda jumps around a little bit when I move.
It doesn't seem to affect gameplay, so it isn't exactly unplayable, but it's annoying as fuck.
it is probably from big fps drops
i set my fps to 60 as well
it's more stable
60 dropping to 50 fps isnt as bad as 100 fps dropping to 60
dont set fps to monitor refresh rate if your pc cant handle high fps in this game
this game suffers pretty badly in performance for mid tier PCs
Noticed alot of threads form previous battlefield where people saying : Dice points to Nvidia, Nvidia points to game devs about issue...
Did standard fresh new drivers
yeah if they want to get rid of it, decrease prices
a lot of cards are still above their launch MSRP
that happens a lot
Its up to the board partners what version the GPU gets used for
Huge coincidence #1 but rocket league seized up again and turned off the Bluetooth controller and it started using CPU again. Trying to get it to break again.. sometimes takes a damn hour
Surely Bluetooth couldn't cause it
its the fking bluetooth
^ The duality of men
maybe the z390-e has better BT 😉
Can anyone explain why I should use DX12? All I’ve seen it do is make games run worse
i mean, just try it yourself and come to your own conclusions?
i was using dx11 because i heard problems, was getting around 90-100 fps, went to dx 12 and now im usually around 140
i do get a random and sudden drop in fps on dx12 every once in a while though
DX12 has a lot of possible benefits but it's on the Devs to code for it so it's normally poorly done
but its usually like 2 seconds long, and not that common
DX12 on BFV seems to be good for newer hardware
Dunno for the first one, it just lost all power and hasn't had it come back with all my exhaustive testing. Took it apart and everything was looking fine too so no blown caps or anything
Gonna try and do a manufacturer RMA yeah, but I think it's just a few months outside the RMA window now
did you overclock it?
who made it?
what command do i use in the console to see my fps
perfoverlay.drawfps 1
to have it everytime you load the game try this - https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/56035/fix-perfoverlay-drawfps-1-stay-on-screen-fix
haven't tried it for bfv
by coincidence in my last game today I had the guy/lady that posted that in my squad
he was accidentally hitting his microphone button and it was making a loud noise every so often
In gameplay settings there's an option to turn on the killfeed
Consider setting to to nearby so you only see relevant info.
thank
my settings getting restart every time i launch the game so
yeah if maybe someone can help me so
Hi. Today when i played BFV, i noticed a bug that making me pissed. Every time i press play, BFV will make me choose my brightless and audio. After that, it doing the intro, and it also restarting my settings. I hope someone will read it. If someone had this problem and solved it, please @ me. EA support didn't help, so dont do the "!support"(edited)
This is my problem
so if someone can help m e
You could try running Origin and BFV as admin, it may be failing to write the new settings.
i did that
I got nothing then.

well if someone somehow dcan help
anybody here having bad fps drops too?
like my graphics card isnt running at its maximum and im just dropping frames
What CPU do you have?
Have you tried turning DX12 on or off?
You obviously shouldn't be having any problems.
And do you have the latest GPU drivers?
For me the latest NVIDIA drivers were a massive improvement.
Turn textures and shadows to medium, maybe low settings aren't pushing your GPU
He should be able to max the game no problem, unless he is running 4K
i have the latest drivers
like i would have no problem if it would run at a stable 80
rn just on navik i dropped to 55 when i saw like 3 people randomly
Low settings usually puts more load onto the CPU, and the graphics card will be running below max utilization
This is why all CPU benchmarks are tested in 720p low settings so they can compare raw CPU performance without the possibility of the graphics card interfering with the scores
Another problem regarding CPU and GPU is the RAM, Battlefield V hates single channel memory
Sounds like some cpu/memory side issues than gpu
What temps on cpu? Is it running 90%+ load?
as 5820k is bit older cpu, I would assume you have had your rig setup for a while now, might be good idea to open case, clean dust from fans, intakes, and cpu cooler finns
You know I reformatted my PC recently and it was a huge boost.
yeah, that usually helps quite a bit, windows tends to accumulate junk in registry etc
also disabling any auto update services could help
what does f7 key do in windows 10?
i pressed it and voice says "always on" or "always off"
happend to me as well i was running 110 fps on ultra on 2k and now i run 50 -55 fps 😦 im running water cooling my cpu is 33 under load and gpu 35 under load
i uninstalled all the nvidia driver and got the latest installed again and nothing happens
anyone else?
Anyone have suggestions for good headsets? 😄
Go back a driver
Works fine for me on w10 1809 on a 2070
I have a suggestion, but I don't think you'll like it @dreamy tinsel
Oh, actually they're on sale right now.
But you need a sound card or a really good motherboard.
awh, yeah then no :/
Yeah but the shipping would be expensive for me too, so would be a lot in the end
Shipping was a lot for me cause I got them overnight from Japan lol
Hey yall. just wanted to say that my bug is fixed. If yall have the problem where everytime u launch BFV it reset ur settings and doing intro, do that
Documents ---> BattlefieldV ----> Settings ----> and then rename from PROFSAVE_tmp to just PROFSAVE.
finna maybe pin, its a big bug that can happen.
if anyone find the solution for the Fps drops please pm me 😦 i still cant figure this out i went back 2 drivers and nothings happens im on latest driver now and still running low fps
yeah its on ok so i got back to work bfv5 on 120 fps on 2k 144hz ultra everything looks like my resolution scale was in 200 % instead of 100% thats fix my problem

1440p =/= 2k
just installed bfv and i cant get above 5 fps, my pc isnt the problem, it runs bf1 butter smoothly on ultra
quick question
does Newegg cover international warranty
if I'm ordering a graphics card for my friend who is in UK but the item ships from US
will he be able to claim warranty in UK ?
or should he send it all the way back to US and stuff
Newegg covers 30 days but i think Nvidia Covers 3yrs and it's International yes
uhmm u may have to read their warranty i know Nvidia it's international
Most likely yes since the EU has some consumer protection laws
@red ingot 2560x1440p = 1.7x more pixels than 1080p
Not 2x
im pretty sure if you want to sell to another nation that you have to follow their consumer protection laws
4k is called 4k because its 4x the pixel count of 1080p
in america they usually just do the least possible amount of warranty coverage
actually the Xk denomination comes from the amout of horizontal pixels in the resolution given that it is 16:9 or 16:10, ie 1920x1080 = 2k, 2560x1440 = 2.5k, 3840x2160 = 4k, it is not a multiplier of how many pixels there are in standard full hd resolution

Y u do dis
i'm the most fun guy in parties
Makes sense tho
Lol
I guess in perspective 1440p isn't that big of a difference between 1080p
its like 1.8x the pixels
I mean I have a 1440p now and it is amazing vs 1080p but yeah it's not like completely night and day imo
Like as in a significant upgrade but doesn't compare to 4k
Then and again I've never played on a 4k monitor (just seen 4k TVs on display and they look sexy, I'm still on a 1080p TV myself)
But 🤷 maybe that's just me. Also kinda subjective I guess. And I guess 4k is roughly 4x the pixels as 1080p? 4x a lot more than 1.8x
well yeah its 2x(1920*1080)
yes it is
Go to google
"its approximately 2000 pixels WIDE resolutions"
"2K resolution is a generic term for display devices or content having horizontal resolution of approximately 2,000 pixels"
can you read?
Er
english?
Is 2048x1080p the same as 1920x1080p?
...
can you REAAAD ENGLISH
Difference is negligible imo
Yet 2048x1080p is not the same
and a whole new aspect ratio
Imo its close enough
But idk enough about the topic to really argue it lol
My impression from google was that you're contradicting yourself but idk 🤷
I wish people would quit calling it.
4K is called 4K since it has 4x the pixels of 1080p (8294400 vs 2073600 pixels)
1440p is 3686400 pixels, or around 1.77x (77%) more than 1080p
The closest thing to true 2k would be 2720x1530, or if you prefer 16/9 aspect ratios it would be 2688x1512 or 2816x1584.
Then there’s the generic 2k definition which is 2048x1080.
I would go with 1440p and an IPS panel. Since it will look amazing and be possible to actually drive. Support shouldn’t be an issue if it’s a 16/9 aspect ratio since HUDs should scale properly nowadays
From PCPP when I had to explain this before
4k is called 4k because it has approximately 4000 horizontal pixels
4K refers to one of two high definition resolutions: 3840 x 2160 pixels or 4096 x 2160 pixels. 4K is four times the pixel resolution, or twice the line resolution (2160p), of 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels)
4K is four times the pixel resolution, or twice the line resolution (2160p), of 1080p
"4K resolution, also called 4K, refers to a horizontal display resolution of approximately 4,000 pixels."
5% is a pretty big approximation in the PC world

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/691408-2k-does-not-mean-2560×1440/ just go read this with a nice cup of warm coffee
How about
We call it how every other resolution is, and go by the vertical pixels
720p was fine, 1080p was fine, but when 4k came out it was a big deal to call it 4k instead of 2160p, then 1440p came around and has terms thrown around
Same thing with the HD, UHD, QHD, etc that are just shitty marketing schemes
oh i can 100% agree with the shitty marketing schemes
in fact it also sucks that low end manufacturers can have 4k with a shitty panel and have it look like garbage. most people don't know that not all 4k tvs are equal (shitty panel vs good panel)
or well, all tv's in general
or screens for that matters
I'll take a IPS 1440p panel with good colors over a TN 4k monitor that never had any form of calibration
TVs are terrible for marketing
and that's why i spent the extra $100 on a 1440p ips monitor vs the TN counterpart
it looks soooo nice
what is backlight bleed anyways?
i always hear people complaining about it
but i never really understood
yeah
so like light "bleeding in" at the edges
although ive never really experienced that
like ever
idk maybe the pics are all just extreme examples
and apparently it's only a thing with ips monitors?
It generally happens with dark pictures, same with the IPS glow
You won't notice it unless its really bad in everyday use
hm
Backlight bleed is an issue with using backlights
I hope we see more OLED monitors soon
Is anyone running battlefield V over a virtual machine ? (Cloud gaming) - I’ve come up against some temporary origin bans as it sees the hardware changes when I’m allocated a different set of hardware
Not fun being locked out for 24 hours 😃
i know that EA did put in a hardware ban if you change your hardware too much in 24h
bench markers were complaining about that
Well @red ingot I’ve only got a 6 year old laptop so use Shadow to game online
Can’t afford the upkeep of a decent gaming rig these days
It’s good though as I can play battlefieldV at full settings and encounter no issues
huh
just googled it - it looks cool
yeah but all ik is EA does have a hardware ban and i dont think there's any way to circumvent it unfortunately
I spoke with shadow about it and they are actively working with Origin to find a fix - just wondered if anyone had a workaround in the mean time
ah i see
um as for shadow - how much does it cost?
i wouldn't really use it I don't think, but im curious (can't find pricing anywhere on their website)
wow
such a cool card
either you live in a freezer or your card is just super cool
21C ambient temperature
It’s £24.95 a month - not sure what the pricing is in dollars or Euros - but I have a referral code that gives money off the first month
RX 580 only consumes 150 watts at 100% load using FurMark stress test lol
Water cooled or air cooled @latent light
got these games with it lol
could of chosen The Division 2 but I got enough multiplayer games
resident evil 2 remake is going to be fun
I had my ROG Strix 1080 at like 30C once idle without fans
But that was when it was left on overnight to download stuff
That is with a like 250w TDP
@latent light what program was that
The one where you could see your hardware and temp
ah yes, thank you for the monthly reminder to use ccleaner
@red ingot shadow is $34 a month
wow
I wonder what kind of ping you get with it
i mean, pretty expensive
but makes sense considering you're getting high end hardware
seriously curious tho about what kind of ping you get, yeah
and also input lag
i feel like there's gotta be a lot of input lag
$408 a year when you could build a budget gaming pc for like $600
I built mine 2 years ago for like $900 and I can play bfv at 60fps on medium
hm
Bf1 I played on high at 60fps
shrug
they dont really list their full specs
or benchmarks etc
im also super concerned about input lag
seems like a great idea though for those on a super budget
or if u wanna game on the go (i.e. laptop)
I guess the service is probably tailored towards people who are incapable of building a computer and have no friends to help build
(gaming laptops will never compare to desktops)
and lol that too
although tbh just do some google-fu and watch some youtube vids
building a pc isn't as bad as u think (i remember i actually got my first pc as a prebuild cause i was too scared to do it myself)
then after changing out some parts myself i realized it actually wasn't so bad
some laptops compare to high end desktops
ever see the laptop with two gtx 1080 Tis?
jesus
okay
well
gotta be at least 2x the price of desktop equivalent
they dont even have a price listed for it
and the link in description is broken
they stopped making them too
it was around $3000
desktop equivalent would be about $2000
jesus
yeah i figure probably cause no one wanted to pay 3k
and that thing probably weighs like 20lbs
heeeeel no
i rather have a desktop
so 1.5TB of NVMe storage lol
^
Raid 0 is bad and not worth the risk
Also NVMe is rarely used in real world applications, so raid 0 NVMe means nothing
well like
nvme is already stupidly fast no?
so why the heck would you then put it in RAID 0?
seems a bit redundant
NVMe is only really faster than SATA 3 in large file transfers
My buddy loads quite a bit faster than me on 970evo vs my 850
But after that ya of course it's useless
lol
Whole level is in vram
yeah which makes sense
but initial load should be insanely fast
and well, obviously booting up windows :p
You get dx12 working yet
apparently a 970 boots faster than u can turn on your monitor
and yessir
i thought i sent u some screencaps?
Ffr 1 frame?
Try 1 frame
ok
Is it off?
Your GPU might handle more frames
If you don't get a lot more fps than me that makes zero sense.
If you set post low and lighting low I'd expect 144 solid and min fps like 120
that's my dx12
115 avg 90 1% 69 .1%
mind u lighting on ultra :3
but post low
that's dx11
126 avg 87 1% 66 .1%
but the spread is much higher
as in frametimes less consistent in dx11
ill try setting ffr at 1
I find Hamada the most consistent
booting up windows is a lot of small files
So NVMe doesn't change it much
Also 8s vs 10s
You boot once a day
I mean my PC already boots faster than my monitor on a 850 evo
and if I go remove my overclocks / reduce the BIOS screen time thing then its even faster (it does some weird memory boot thing or something stupid)
Does anyone here run battlefield v at 1440p Ultra with a gtx 1070? If so, how does it run?
I doubt you'll be getting constant 100+ fps on that
if i can get 60, i'll be fine
1080p here with a 1070ti and 2700x and barely keeping 100fps constant
im looking at new monitors and im not sure if my 1070 can run battlefield v at 1440p ultra
will i have to go on high?
You should be fine, just depends on the fps dips really
The dips are insane compared to other games
aight, thanks
6700k overclocked to 4.6 ghz
np
@here so I've been sitting at a 100% downloaded update on BF5 for like 10 minutes. says 0% remaining, 0 kbs downloading, but not that it's installing. ive logged out, ive paused/restarted...nothing is finishing this off. help?
Wait it out
what am i waiting on? it seems like it's hung up on nothing.
Just takes a while sometimes
Logging out pausing restarting etc. Will just restart the process
It's probably unpacking all the files
alright fair enough. thanks man. appreciate it
Np
AMD isn't going to implement Ray-Tracing in their GPUs until it is mainstream in games and when they can put it on low-end cards

the first Navi cards will come out Q2 2019
Makes sense
this shows what single channel vs dual channel 8GB ram does
Battlefield V 70+ fps more with dual channel lol
yep lol
anyone who buys/builds a PC with only 1 stick of ram, they are missing out a ton of performance
But rgb
wait till you see the results of higher frequency ram grim
quad channel and four RAM sticks are different
You can run 4 sticks in dual channel
you can't run quad channel with 2 sticks
So, new to Battlefield.. Would probably like it a lot more if I didn't get stuck in endless loading screens between game maps.. 😦
My non-tech self pretty much has resorted to ending b5 in task manager and then joining a new game each time
only enthusiast level motherboards support quad channel memory
AM4 boards like A320, B350, B450, X370, X470 only support dual channel
Intel boards like H310, B360, H370, Z370, Z390 only support dual channel
Two in one; barbecue and computer case 👌
any fix for latency out there , when i wanna play with people from na i have 200 ping , but when i play on eu host its 20 anyway i can fix it so i can play with people from na
r/AyyMD is leaking
They shouldn't have bought cheap sealant then

Exactly
I even had to buy my own thermal goo
Today's message is bought to you free by CoolLaboratory™
This message was sponsored by the thermal paste gang
Toothpaste gang when
how can i fix weird textures?
Wdym with weird textures
i got some like blurred and pixelated textures lately
is that because of the new update? because updating the drivers didnt work
Try repair install
Is that like the Minecraft trees on twisted steel? Because that's not ever been fixed
Guys... have you had problems with the audio after updating Windows 10?
nope
Uhm. :c
My friend always used to have problems every win 10 update lol
Had to dick with drivers a ton
You try uninstalling from device manager and clearing the related software and reinstalling?
Yes, uninstall by the device manager, but I see other microsoft drivers, transmission, etc. I had never seen that.
If I raise the whole volume, it still sounds very low.
Buy new pc 😉
Install windows xp
When I connect the headset and start the game, it sounds low.
@raw turtle Windows XP is for girls, I prefer 98 with floppy.
Beautiful times
times when there was no cutscenes in games
Lol i looked on amazon: 10 floppy disks with 1.44 MB capacity 12,99€ haha
240 gb kingston nvme ssd: 43.90 €
Shut up and take my money ! (Meme)
well, there are still machines that run things that people depend on and they do need floppy disks
dont think there are many manufacturing them anymore
5.25 floppies or the "hard" floppies
Installing windows with diskettes was ... fun.
Luckily i was born 2000 and didnt have such troubles
You lost the best of the truth.
Idk which ones
Jajaja.
most fun times was loading a game on C64 with the casette player, took like 20minutes to load the game if the player worked ok
@red ingot I from 88.
O.o
console games were on ROMs, so kinda like "mini ssd"
Then i got a gameboy and then nintendo ds , then wii and no im on pc
Pokemon on ds was great
ok cleaned some shit
my cpu is at around 48-50°C
and im sitting at around 120fps on hamada
went up to 60°C but its stable now
anyone mess with intel optane?
Hello. Need some help here. I'll either buy a graphics card or a processor. Right now I have: GTX 1060 6GB, i5-6400, 16GB RAM. I'm around 50-70 fps with the lowest settings and I want to get up to 120 - 140 fps. What should I upgrade?
4c4t cpu is definitely tough on bfv
1060 6gb is solid, but probably the lowest recommended gpu for bfv and the results you want
Updating my i5 6600k to i7 x700 because bfV is so CPU heavy
I upgraded my i7 4770k to an i7 9700k and saw a solid ~40fps boost
Also helped a lot with the stutter (no more stutter)
I'd recommend a CPU upgrade tbh if you're on an i5 for bfv
@native acorn yea id think that cpu upgrade would be the most beneficial, which is sad since its a solid build all around
but for bfv the cpu probably struggles the most
Ive got ryzen 2700x and a 1060 and can play on high - ultra 60 fps
I think 1060 isnt the problem, its ur cpu
man im stoked for amds new shit
if it is even close to the "leaks" its gonna be killer
im an amd fanboy and i still think its a bit too far fetched
im sure it is, 2070 performance for HALF the price?
the only way i can see that happening is that its a standard gpu, no ray tracing tech or anything
thats what makes it reasonable
I think someone yesterday said they dont have plans for ray tracing yet
Not until its viable on low end cards and mainstream
Which actually is a smart decision
its smart, theres hardly anything positive with ray tracing atm
Exactly
And literally only bfv has it rn afaik
So like poor support and huge performance hit
No point in jumping on the bandwagon
so do a standard upgrade, mark prices down, and literally 95% of people have more of a logical reason to get an amd card vs rtx
@dapper gorge I had the same cpu as you. i upgrade to i7 8700 and now i have 80~100 fps with a 1060 6gb
and no more stuttering
if you want a solid 140 fps maybe you can get a 6core + 1070ti
ps.: i'm on 1080p
How many logical cores does BF5 utilize?
so atleast 8 damn
it will freaking devour anything that exists on the market right now
Ryzen TR 2990WX?
the fact people are not seeing high CPU on a 2700x makes no sense, it's like it's broken
a 2700x should see 100% if it was being correctly utilized
thats some nice optimization
to use half a cpu and get less frames? 😄
2700x def streams well, king of that.. just doesnt perform on straight gaming as well as 8700k/9700k
the 3700k should potentially help but we'll see
amd isnt really that good for gaming
it will have the same boost clock as the 9700k but will have 12c
so even if it's slower per core maybe we'll see better perf
i hope amd zen 2 is good for gaming
i mean ill regret my upgrade but for the sake of the future of the PC component race and price fixing... yes
mainly concerned about GPU though
shit needs to be $500 for the top top top tier
$300 for the rest of us
so stoked for this next amd line up
same
if AMD released good GPUs it would bring more people to better monitors also
i may sell my 8100 to get the 3200
since gsync so expensive
yea
im stuck with nvidia ecosystem
and atm thats fine
but i hope they release more standard gpus next time
i dont care about ray tracing
@rose eagle seems kinda legit that you have 90% cpu with 9700k, i have about 50% with 9900k, so would say 8cores is the sweet spot to get 144+ fps
I only get 60 fps with a 1080 Ti and a 6800K lol
have you guys heard of an issue where when you launch bf5 the game flashes as if Alt+Tab is being pressed? I'm running latest gpu drivers for my gpu, and its only with this game. I've tried to downgrade and then update to current drivers as well.
Make sure cables are in properly?
the framerate is locked to your refreshrate
i think the CPU usage in windows is very misleading with anything that has HT
your 9900k should still be seeing 90% usage at 144fps
I sometimes get 70 fps
Yeah, I've unplugged and replugged in the diplayport cable. Even used a different port on my GPU
nah, I use afterburner
i can guarantee BF is eating almost all your 9900k
50-60% is max cpu usage I get, on everything low
stock clock?
yeah, its just that there might be more threads than 8, and you is first in first out, when with threads they can do round-robin cpu time cycling
i mean that's almost +1 entire core
so that makes sense
arguing HT isnt going to get very far for BFV perf though 😉
it is a huge problem for CPUs without enough physical cores
it all boils down how much the threads needs to be synced when executing
like 4c4t i5 vs 4c8t is a massive min fps problem
avg isnt vastly changed but the min suffers, but on my 9700k it pretty much cooks everything no problem for now
it even cooks itself
i swapped displayports again and it works now? this is how i fixed it last time, but now its acting fine i suppose. lol
lol 9700k isnt bad, i see 65c on load
with a $100 best in class aio 😄
no idea what a 212 evo would do for it
@rose eagle you wanna check from stream my usages, just testing settings https://www.twitch.tv/naekhrah_
i dont doubt what it says, honestly i havent checked afterburner yet
just windows
afterburner always reported < 100% for me on my 3770k
but it was 100% cooking all cores
so im not sure what afterburner pulls from
Hey @limpid glade I remember from before u said you only had one stick of RAM. some guy linked a video yesterday showing up to 70fps increase for dual channel ram vs single channel. Might just be worth to try getting a set of 2x8gb instead of the one 16gb you got rn. I'll try and find the video
Wow, okay, thank you!
yea i had to really read up on my mobo before slotting ram
1/3 wasnt the designated slots for dual
its never slots next to each other.. i wonder how many people have 2 sticks and arent even in DC 😄
I always read my mobo manual first
i did!
To double check which slots
can never pass up reading up on that
That and also so I don't stick all the headers in the wrong spot..
lol took me so long to find the power button
Oh and the loads in stream bit higher coz using cpu to encode
the manual is size 4 font i swear
Wow rip u
About70% loads
@limpid glade u see the video I linked?
Top left corner
maybe it doesnt show in a stream?
that'd be interesting
yea its not there 😉
overlay for your eyes only
Wth
True it must be overlay window so should add it
depends if you're capturing the screen or just the game
the game only
Yeah, thanks a lot, @red ingot ! I'll update you if anything improves.
Np
and if i get 90% or so on 8c, 1 more core really would off a lot more load
Good luck
so what shouldi upgrade to from an i7-5820K?
$?
wait that's 6c12t why would you upgrade it
oh ouch 3.6 boost
wow what a weird cpu
does it OC?
honestly theres nothing worthwhile out from 3rd to 7th gen
3770k == 7700k
for flat fps improvements
its pretty much a new PC at that point
im gonna sell my whole rig for $2000 and stop gaming
Gl with that
I'll see u in a week
When you're crying to the guy u sold it to to please sell it back
oh no id sell it as a premium, current MSRP just all put together
iBuyPanda
carefully closes PoE
Yes
always
Yeah
but like 8 years old
Yes
whats the problem?
i replaced my 6y just for fks sake of it
550w erring on low side anyways
it may not fix anything though, i dont know what the issue is
and when im at it i can just replace it
What's your setup
yea then you can get a modular PSU and in your new case it will have proper cable management
You're assuming he doesn't already have modular
idk some problems got fixed by cleaning mc computer
🤔
i7-5820k
wow i guess they did come about 8y ago
gtx1070
I keep forgetting that I have corsair link for my psu
out of the ordinary
I could literally see my power draw
But I never check
But I feel like yeah bfv gonna be pulling a lot on that setup
no no fancy lights no nothing
So 550w barely enough
dont have any bonus cooling
i mean.. high end PCs will get close to 500w
Plus u know shit just starts dying after 8 years
any good brand to go with?
EVGA
Ah yea
evga all day
I felt like I was missing one
0 deals goin on right now, RIP
if your system pulls 400 watts under load, get a 600w psu
Thermaltake has an rgb one I believe
ewww thermaltake
rgb psu is like $150+
But muh rgb

And yeah that one looks okay
I think
Although platinum psu ftw
Or titanium if u really wanna be ballsy

buys RGB psu... is under shroud
gold semi modular
palladium modular!
Gold ew
Semi modular ew
but should i go with a 750?
you dont need full unless you are doing custom sleeves
750W gold
mine is aluminum
fulk modular all the way
Fu
fulk you too
no modular is best for higher csgo fps

i overclocked my 650w bronze to a 850w gold
🤔
with red rgb
green is for economy performance
Yeah
Economy = environmental
PC gets the power it needs with minimal efficiency loss
from what I know, there is a small difference between titanium and platinum
in psu rating
there small changes from bronze to just about anything else
youd think there would be a bigger difference
bronze 82% efficiency at 100% load, platinum is 89%
Shhhhhhh
I thought platinum was like 92
Or 91
90 something
Wait no
That's titanium
Nvm
Makes sense
I need titanium to break into the 90s
lol
7% adds up
"I DONT NEED IT"
yea
You fill unfulfilled, like theres an empty void in your life
One that only a titanium psu can fill
i just go for a good middle ground
bronze is good enough, so i went with gold
not titanium...
Only problem is once that hole is filled another one opens up

Next thing u know it's a new ssd
Then ram
Then gpu
Etc.
Endless vicious cycle
sigh
i think im good for a while, at least until i do cpu/ram/mb
luckily the pocket kills all those dreams
amd, release your next shit
earlier they release, the more problems there will be
i actually want them to wait a few months past their expected launch to optimize and maybe wait for motherboard manufacturers to release good BIOS updates
yea, id prefer to wait as well, its just i have a hankering to upgrade and amd is holding me back
i hope no one is going to build a pc by then because they might regret doing it now in the future lol
imagine buying a i7-9700K for $400 only to find out Ryzen 5 3600X beats it for almost half the price

Ryzen 9 3800X with 16 cores for $449
16 cores, even though gamers will still buy it
who even needs more than 8 cores

well what gamer needs more than 8
and rich kids
well, they dont NEED it
BuT yOu GoTtA gEt MaX fRaMeS oN fOrTnItE
legitimately can't believe the 3rd gen ryzens are that cheap
16 cores can be very useful for workstation loads
he said gamer
I got the R5 2600 for 260 aud, and the base model R3 3300 is going to be $123 less for basically the same
also for many people getting a steaming box isn't too much of an investment especially considering they plan on using it to make money back
I'm definitely gonna sell my 2600 for a 3600
can we get 50 likes
thats what came up when i searched for like
Why is it gonna be so long nyphon
And does streaming really hit your fps that much
Just use shadow play then and record videos the old fashion way
:D
it does for some people
if you have a 10XX GPU and use nvenc u should be good tho
I can output 1080p60fps and 1440p60fps (native) on my 1070 with negligible fps drop for a few games
Ic
