@rose eagle I just picked up a Thermaltake open-air ATX case this weekend and swapped in all the hardware from the older Antec case that still breathed fairly well, but had some aesthetic issues after ten solid years of use. This new case has a tempered glass front and the whole thing can be wall-mounted for pure sexiness. Should check it out, the cable management alone is great! 😃

This computer is ten years old, I've been using it as a OC project, about to take it to over 4Ghz on the old P5K-E/LGA775 with a newer Q9650 C2Q vs the C2D in there now, gets here Wednesday. Probably going to have to get creative with the DDR2 timings, but going to see how much power there is left to get out of it before I strip out that board and put a new MSI in.

@storm osprey It's a remainder machine I turned into a OC'ing test bench and casual gaming. I play primarily console for any modern/heavy titles and I have nothing, but Macs in the house for everything else--switched about a decade ago, never looked back. However, I use this machine for helping indie developers test their games on slower hardware on Steam as well as some Cities: Skylines on the 1050Ti I dropped in which does nicely.

@storm osprey Originally it was a poweruser workstation I built in 2008, which at the time 65nm was the mainstay and 45nm was the hot thing. I used it at the time to do a lot of editing. It's traveled with me all over the world, spent some time as a repository server colocated, and then I ended up using it to rip a massive collection of data discs to NAS for my personal cloud I'd setup.
