@vernal portal you can also use Hattiwatti's Cinematic Tools (at your own risk) on PC but the main differences is that the game's built-in mode lets you override weather easily while the third-party tool lets you use your soldier for a shot.

I'm not satisfied with the camera angle (due to camera rotation limitation in 90ยฐ angle), otherwise it could have fit better for vertical shot (needed to show more of the banners). DoF is limited too in Spectator Mode but weather control is much more simplified that in Cinematic Tools (third-party). I had a huge thought about whether to release the vertical or the horizontal shot.

Comparing to Hattiwatti's Cinematic Tools: Blur add value missing, pixel value missing, near and far values limited, blur type missing
Tilt-Shift is one percentage value you adjust (like a filter) while it could be more advancedly exploited like in Hattiwatti's Cinematic Tools (Ironsight DoF).
DoF needs to be rendered again after doing camera adjustment by adjusting resolution scale again down and back to 200% otherwise you'd see some outlines going along blurred objects (from the inside) as if it's cut.

ahh I'll look into the resolution scale issue. We always have to be careful about adding more options that add additional complexity. DoF is already pretty complicated and 99% of users wouldn't have any idea how those additional values work or they may not even care. It's not worth the time to add more options if most users wouldn't use them.

Super resolution in Ansel basically takes multiple pictures and glues them in 1 frame to make a large picture that's 4k/8K/how many K's you want

I wanted to add more light to the front but it's hard when you're in a live round and can't even edit the light coordinates anymore like in previous CTs and need to move the camera to move the light which would make a worse angle than the first one you took in the screenshot

There are a couple res. scale related issues with screenshots I've seen. Must be something timing/framerate related. Never seen that testing it but my work PC is a beast so I don't typically have a low framerate.

@river trail Yeah a little. Its a bit unwieldy on console imo, especially when you snap to bone and turn on all the relative movements. Made me feel a bit nauseous haha! Got some nice shots with it though. I know that it would be hard technically, but I would love if DICE allowed us to save 2/3/5 min snapshots to playback and edit . I heard they might try to implement a freeze time mode, so that might do the trick - hell even 10 seconds would be enough for me.

Yes that is another potential reason, players not playing the game. I don't actually know the reasons for it not being in MP so this may not actually be one and it's more than likely just the "freeze time" requirement.

You'd need to go to the spectator mode, to do so, you go to the server browser, find a server, press Square (I think, look for the Server Info on the bottom) and press Join as Spectator.

I've heard conflicting information regarding reshaders, it seems people have used them without being banned and there's a good few ready made ones for BF1 in particular online but again. You should really use it at your own risk

I played with this on emulator servers, not on official ones. It's not only client side, the server was modded so there were more things possible.
check #streams-and-videos there are also more videos on my channel with night maps or with different weather effects
