I download all my via an app and then use Pixlr for some of my edits. I've started to use some others for some stuff, but most of all, mine are all natural shots from spectator mode @fallow mulch ... And thank you @willow fossil , been really trying to get the same look you guys on PC do without being able get poses. I wish I could.

anything that injects code into our game is considered a cheat. It breaks the ToS so EA has the right to ban you if you use it. Doesn't necessarily mean we will ban you that's why you use at your own risk. If you're playing BF1 you can use spectator mode instead.

I prefer spectator mode. Why? Because it's the smoothest picture mode if you run anything on Ultra and 200% res scale. If spectator mode has a free time button and custom lighting, pls make it happen Sonic and cczzcx, I don't really have to use the cinetools anymore. Other than the freeze time button and lighting, I only use cinetools for the custom animations. Because I am learning myself how to properly use Maya.

I would love it if @naive bobcat and @zenith path implemented a bunch of stuff you can use for cinetools and Maya for all spectator. That way it gives me, the console guy, a chance to utilize the stuff as well. I love using spectator mode and hopefully once I get eBattlefield up and going, more will be using it for various games of Battlefield.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want to add something like the animation tools in cinetools that uses Maya, it would just have to work differently. Maya is a very complex tool to learn and I would never make a feature that expects the user to learn that if they want to make changes to how things are posed. It could certainly be an option but it wouldn't be the only one. It's just not an efficient use of my time to make something only 1% of all users would even touch.

I don't even know how you'd import Maya files on console. That would be a lot of work just to figure out a good solution to that one problem!

Well @naive bobcat with the development of eBattlefield, I'll be getting more users out there for such. We'll, as in us usual content creators will be more than welcome to give tutorials and create videos that will help gain more folks to use such programs. I know @cinder gyro made a video using cinetools a little while ago as I showed how to use the functions of the in game tools.

@lusty hazel what do you exactly mean by "smooth"? Both modes support a custom resolution scale percentage/value. Besides, Cinematic Tools still have a lot more useful features than Spectator Mode besides the custom animations if you're looking into producing great and quality cinematic content, both still and moving shots.

@dusty trail it doesn't have to be Maya, just a simulation that gives enough feature to provide service in the game. The animation/pose files can be represented as your personal/shared cloud library and from any 3D software people use to move/rotate props and bones can have these features implemented in the Spectator Mode.

I just don't know where to find him and show him. I never seen him around as a placeholder in Narvik as much as I looked. I know it happens in BF1 if someone is exiting/entering a vehicle and you're looking at him from a distance via a scope, it wouldn't render properly and latency/game crash on the playing animation soldier might be factors too. The BF1 purple squad was placeholder turned into a joke. BF3 SP may show the grey soldier when the camera altered. The last time I properly seen it that way is in Half-Life or Half-Life 2 when you try to look at Gordon Freeman with the camera.

Grey soldier is the lowest LOD of a soldier. I'm sure its easy to make that happen in cinetools depending on what you are doing with the tool. It's just a bug if you somehow see that as a regular player or spectator.

It's when a player is spawning in I think but before their model loads in or whatever, if you freeze when someone plops in you're liable to see it

yeah could be streaming related or if you freeze and move the camera to a soldier really far away or was behind an object when you froze then it's pretty likely to happen.
