yes, squad leaders command a squad and can call in reinforcements, you play the game, congratulations. what i'm saying is that BFV should have had something like a Commander Elite Role as the one that can call in the larger reinforcements, possibly unseen reinforcements and loosely direct the team or even a cluster of squads. Squad leaders should still have the ability to direct their individual squads to an objective of choice, and squad leaders should still be able to call in minor reinforcements like supply drops or smoke but to have a player commanding a cluster of squads could have introduced an interesting team play aspect. *it's hard to formulate a perfect description when you can't see your full paragraph, i do hope you get a rough idea of what i mean
