@stray wind It can be fun depend on how you play it. I made my company on BF5 authentic as possible to the real ww2. Planes are gonna take a buck load of time just to even upgrade 1 tier so you're gonna get clapped alot in the air and AA guns are super OP but otherwise tanks and infranty is fine so far. However youre not gonna get any new content for BF5 cause Dice left the game behind I think to focus more on BF6 which sucks because they could've redeem the game some more but I dunno. BF6 imo is like their last last chance to redeem themselves a whole for the BF franchise ans the company dice itself

but yeah, it's a tough cookie to digest in the beginning. bfv isn't as bad as people make it seem. you really need to observe your environment more and have decent map knowledge to get good compared to the previous games. mainly due the spotting decreased usefulness etc. but what you get in return is very satisfying gunplay, sandboxy map design, fun and grand ww2 library of weaponry and vehicles.
