Battlefield's reloads can get technically impressive too, especially in 1 and V where historical guns had some unusual reloads, such as the Perino M1908. I know people shit on DICE when they get a small detail wrong, but I'd give them leeway because I'm sure finding a working historical weapon isn't always possible.

If I'm understanding that correctly, there's three phases to the Garand's animation, with each phase having a different animation variation: ejection, loading, and closing the bolt(?). And then of course there's the dry reload.
DICE also has this whole GDC talk about the evolution of their reload animation logic in Battlefield 1. It's so fascinating.

Either way, gotta respect DICE's animation teams for making things as accurate as possible.
If you play Red Dead Redemption II, you'll notice that it has a C96. And regardless of how many rounds are in the magazine, your character still shoves a whole clip in. 😆 Rockstar probably didn't want to bother with making a whole animation logic just for that gun, like DICE did for Battlefield 1 and V.
It doesn't really bother me that Rockstar got that detail wrong. Rather, because I understand now how hard it must be to implement reload animation logic, I respect DICE's team a lot more now for their hard work just to pay attention to detail.

@signal hill Ribeyrolles is a good choice to give yourself a long-range AR for Assault. Grease Gun is really only if you're good at aiming since the fire rate is low but the damage is high for an SMG.

@signal hill If I were you, I'd get the Ribeyrolles. Especially if you say your aim isn't the best. The recoil is manageable.
For Medic SMGs I'd recommend the MP40 or ZK-383. Both are almost lasers, especially the ZK.
Grease Gun has a bit too much recoil to make it a viable "sniping" SMG like the ZK is.
(Ho man, the ZK's recoil was stupidly low when it was first released. I was beating Recons at long range.)
