i’ve never noticed any specific stuff with planes not making a noise
like occasionally they’ll take me by surprise but that’s more of a case of i’m not listening for them specifically
so the engine sound blends in and there’s not 8 machine guns firing from above so i don’t have a specific reason/cue to listen out

bf1 tends to be tdm or the linear modes that are mostly active. bfv all modes (except grand ops or firestorm) tend to stay quite active

most people hate bfv for the wrong reasons. it's live service was shit yeah, but that's over now and the content that it has delivered is fantastic. all the flaws live service made people experience are no longer there. the people hating on bfv are usually the people with 500+ hours in the game and having gone through its rough journey. and then there are people hating on it due it has women and customizable cosmetics 🤷
