like it never made it to a playable build of the game that was seen outside of the in-house testing, if that
i don’t really see archetypes making all that much sense in terms of weapon availability
like, if you’ve got a class of guns that only one archetype of a class can use, and another type that it’s other archetype can use, what’s stopping them being separate classes altogether really
i think, have combat roles (but better/more than bfv) and maybe some all class weapons potentially, but archetypes are essentially just combat roles with weapon locks

this upgrading stuff has always been a bit of an issue in bf yeah. you were fucked in bf3 if you wanted to plane cause everyone is using guided shit and you hadn't unlocked flares yet ;D in bfv planes feel a bit lackluster until you upgraded it to level 6. if upgrades were more like sidegrades where it just altered your loadout etc that would have been neat yeah
just remove upgrading vehicles entirely and replace it with unlockable combat roles
