What the hell happened with Wake Island?

1. Why are the coastal guns facing towards opposing sides of the island and not at the open ocean where the Americans attack from?
2. What happened to the Japanese carriers that provided balance to the map rather than no main base spawn?
   Pacific Storm
3. Where are all the AA guns for when you have shitty pilots? there's only 2 AA guns for the entire set of islands?
4. Where are all the air-to-air fighters? Americans only get P-51s which are essentially tank bombers??
   Gameplay and map design seems SUPER LAZY
