@solid hinge This is a difficult one. Personally, I prefer Battlefield V but there's a lot of complications. BF1 has overall better presentation, more polish, and between dlcs there is more variety in the gameplay. However, I feel like there are way more overpowered weapons that outshine the rest in 1. V is much more balanced in its weaponry and the community is pretty good on not using the one or two that are kinda op. V has faster Time to Kill and more movement options that can make gameplay feel slick sliding between cover. V also has more weapons. However, V has a tiny bit of jank still in its presentation, meleeing, and other things but so does all Battlefields.

#

In 1, bullets go around your reticle while in V, bullets go where your reticle goes exactly, sorta like Siege but just not Hitscan

#

1 has better sound design and the music, sounds, and intensity has an incredible experience that I recommend to everyone. 1 is much easier to pick up and be at odds with some of the best. V is fairly easy to pick up but learning the movement and recoil can lead to you being extremely better than most other players.

#

1 is better at creating the feeling of scale and war but that doesnt mean V doesnt do it well.

#

1 has spotting like other Battlefield games where you can press q and a red icon appears above the person while in BFV, it doesnt have that and instead is mostly up to recon to use spotting flares/scopes if you want that and up to your own eyesight

#

also suppression doesnt affect your aim in V as it does in 1. instead, suppressing someone with an lmg, either as infantry or in a tank will spot them
