It's one of the more unique bolt-actions in the game since it's more suited for closer engagements than usual
it has straight-pull, which lets you stay scoped between shots (other rifles take you out of scope for you to look at the bolt cycling), it also has really high fire-rate for a bolt-action
and most importantly it lacks the "sweet spot" mechanic that all other bolt actions have in BF1
if you don't know what sweet spot is - it's a certain range where you one-shot enemies in the body
All of these make it better with a lower magnification scope (like 2x, maybe 4x), or even without a scope at all
anyway, when you download it you can try it out for yourself, I ain't forcing you to run Gewehr M95 without a scope. But if you want something more long-range with a 8x scope, try Gewehr 98 Sniper, or M1903 Sniper.

Even the 12 HEAT rounds are surprisingly weak. You’ll either use a third or half of your HEAT storage by the time you kill a tiger. And those are with direct hits. Not to mention the “weight” of the shell means it has a terrible arc, so you either arc your shots and hope they sit still lookin, or you get in close, in which case, good luck.

It's movements system is way more fluid, the gunplay is a ton better. It's gonna feel off going to 1 from cod. V is a better fit imo. Servers are healthy. You get in matches within 30 seconds of pressing play, or instantly through the server browser. Wgen people say bfv is dead or dyibg, they mean there is no new content coming, but game will still be supported patch wise and played
June was the last content drop of guns, maps etc. It's pretty much "complete". But people are just disappointed that they didn't add more liberation of europe maps and eastern front
