All the LMGs have really good spread if you magdump because thats what they're designed to do

-G3 with extra grenades + magnum. my preferred "flanking" kit, Close-mid range oriented and designd around using the motion nades to always prefire people.
problem: in essence plays like an engineer without a suppressor, and my map pings quickly get me murdered.

-red dot SV98 + magnum. one-hit-kills at close range, one-hit-kill headshots at a good distance if enemies are stationary.
problem: very low firerate, high risk. miss a shot, you die. more than ONE enemy? you die. someone starts shooting first? you die. someone sees you first? you die. loose bullet? you die. nearby explosions shaking your aim? you die.
just not great, but when it works, it's insanely good.
-red dot VSS with magnum. absolutely murders in close quarters, behaves like a G3 with PP2000 firerate. silent. extremely good TTK. combined with silence and motion nades, it's devastating.
problem: really, really ammo ineffective. like, I barely get 3 kills before my ammo is dangerously low. to make it worse, it's BASICALLY an engineer. ambush tactics are themselves super potent and make MOST weapons work. an Engineer, for this role, is just as deadly, but way easier to handle, has a back-up Gustav to instakill someone that gets cocky or help with tanks, and has much better ammo economy. just overall, good but not very optimized or unique?
-12x VSS with magnum. surprisingly, my best sniping set-up. extremely easy bullet drop testing, follow-up shots are a breeze, I'm not screwed if someone shows up very close (hipfire VSS is still murderously good), can kill someone super fast regardless if stationary or moving, does a great job at helping out my team and countersniping.

-red dot or ACOG scoped SVU. it's essentially a suppressed M14. quite ammo effective, but... yeah. it's a weaker VSS for me that doesn't run out of ammo in two seconds. it's quite good, but often leaves me wanting more. this set-up sometimes disappoints, and the relatively meh TTK often gives my targets time to spot me before I kill them (a single miss is a huge wasted opportunity) resulting in pretty nasty, nasty outcomes more often than not.
