Hi guys, I’m definitely interested in getting another battlefield game, so I was wondering if you wonderful people in the community can help me with my next purchase. My main thing is that I wanna play the more populated and fun battlefield. Population is more important to me though.
Is battlefield 3 or battlefield 4 the better purchase on pc right now? Which one is more fun? Which one is more populated? Or is one just both over the other?

I don’t like how that engine is being pushed so hard
It’s poorly optimized , feels outdated, and kinda doesn’t do graphics and AI well
And, slightly off topic but when they pushed that for NFS, That right there showed how bad the engine is, IMO
If they’re gonna be like that and stick to their own proprietary stuff, then at least update or overhaul the engine
But engine aside that shouldn’t be the excuse for excluding a campaign at all, even if the engine is one of the worst modern engines in gaming

The problem is that EA is trying to get all of its studios to use the Frostbite engine in order to cut back on costs. I'm pretty sure they would only update/overhaul the engine if absolutely necessary.

Also there wasn't any real advantage granted in terms of accuracy.
It was better to just train them to fire controlled bursts than to force them to use them
