i don't think cloudy weather is the only reason. most of the maps aren't as wartorn as most of the maps of bf1. but it makes sense in bfv, cause it's all early war. the players are the ones that make it wartorn. but when people think of ww2, they think of 1944 - 1945 battles. i almost never see them bring up points or battles from earlier than 1942. apart from dunkirk thanks to christopher nolan

I agree with Jer9, most BFV maps are about (sadly) almost forgotten battles of WWII, y'know I never heard someone saying "Ah yes, Rotterdam, where German and English soldiers fought incredibles battles", but when Iwo Jima came out It was better, 'cause It simulates one (or maybe the most) famouse battle of the Pacific War.
