the tools are there to take out a plane generally but not a lot of players use them
the 40mm cannons are more than strong enough to take out a plane if you use them right
but a lot of people if they do use them shoot at planes that are out of range or not in a good position to engage

90% of the time the piat is the best choice

the other half is split between the only infantry AA weapon in the game that's useless against anything on the ground which is 99% of what you fight, and the panzerfaust which is just a fucking joke
