m95 has actually decent body shot damage while it still hits people well enough at distance, the extra velocity on the long range bolts is more useful for headshots and the krags higher fire rate works with that

Personally I recently had a good experience with the BAR. Even at the slow rate of fire, I've been doing good mid to close range against Assaults and even some Medics.
I still suck being aggressive with bolt actions though. D:
