because the rear of a medium tank has a 2.6x damage multiplier, 1.67x for rear of light tanks. Even when material multiplier is 1.2 for medium and 1.5 for light, it is not enough to compensate. So Churchill AP shell will do 101.4 damage to rear of Panzer IV while only dealing 81.4 damage to rear of panzer 38T
