Tanks already have enough health in this game. The most irritating thing is getting what looks to be a nice hit on a tank, only for them to turn .5 degrees and all of the sudden your rocket ricochets

It was better in the older games where tanks just had more armor in select places, but you would NEVER get under 10 damage on a rocket shot.

But now we have both directional damage models and a stupidly inconsistent ricochet model. And now a fire poker which seems more like a waste of time to use cause you’ll never quite know if it’s gonna hit right or not.

all of them share the same principle, a shaped charge warhead and that type of warhead is not dependent on velocity of the round so it can be utilized in many ways. thats it's advantage. That type of warhead has a distinct downside, it is easily defeated by hanging a steel plate some distance away from the actual armour, such as the track guards on the stug and Pz IV. Even when it gets a direct hit it more often than not needs to penetrate near or on a vital component in the tank to get results.

Lunge mine, HEAT, Piat, Panzerfaust, AT grenade pistol, Bazooka all share this type of warhead

I know when I am in my tiger that in order for my HEAT rounds to get max damage I have to hit the tank in a vital area exactly right

I just don’t think we should have to think of so many variables when engaging Armor in this game. Like, sure, it’s realistic or whatever. But at some point it’s a video game. And it IS annoying when at some angles I get up to 50 DMG with the lunge mine, and then I hit the same spot again maybe 2 degrees to the left and it does 5. Like “oh shit I missed the engine, that huge blast that threw me backwards surely did nothing”

I think the problem with the current grand ops, besides the days win or lose conditions, is that not all of them are linear. Playing Conquest in Grand Ops doesn't feel like push across multiple maps like Battlefield 1.
