Slower means more accuracy and better control.
Look at planes for example.
Slower means you can hit better.
Sure you turn slow, but I’d prefer hitting enemies as opposed to being a speed demon.

In BF4 when i got the elite controller i replaced the right thumb stick with a long one that allowed me to be more accurate and because of that it allowed me to increase my sensitivity from 20% to 50%, and my accuracy got a lot better as well.
