I think if you redeploy in the pre-round with the Katana, the Katana never spawns back until the match starts

Also a couple of ideas for better communication in BFV:
-If you use flags as a melee weapon and have an option to wave them you can rally players to do large bayonet charges(since there is no world voice chat in bfv)
-Squad leaders can use a ability(which has a cooldown timer) to mark and objective for pilots and tankers to attack or defend(air support) this will help the team to focus on the harder objectives in breakthrough
-Also pilots can have a radio chat which it can be turned on/off for more immersion.
-For the supports.. Since the AA guns are weak the supports can build Stronger AA guns to help infantry fight against planes.
-By adding silenced weapons and Bows and crossbows you can play much more stealthier.
-Adding Ships,boats and submarines(submarine should be a squad call in my opinion) in a naval combat focused map like Midway would be awsome and add a depth in to gameplay.
-Also DICE if you want to "balance" weapons you should use recoil because it doesnt destroy the weapon and will increase the skill gap
-If you want to fix the MMG problem consider increasing the overheat option of the weapon this cause the players to shoot more like burst fire and will likely decrease the camping fullauto MMG
-Also decreasing the ammo count for the MMGs will help this cause.
-Also DICE should add a second menu which shows how many vehicles you've destroyed/how revives you did etc
And reward the player with a medal that did the most (most revives/most kills/most captured objectives/most vehicles kills....)
-In the end round menu they should add a total casualties section at the end of the round for the players to see the scale of their match.
