for the front there is actually no critical angle available, as long as it is within 45 degrees off center, you deal 1x impact damage

that's for all heavy tanks + stug IV front

otherwise you will only be doing 0.65x

the turret has a 1x multipler independent of angles

there is also a piece of extra metal in front of the turret at the base of the gun called the mantlet, if you hit that, you only deal 0.75x

so for example, if the tiger is facing you directly

waht you want to do is to actually not hit the front of the tank, since the maximum you can do is 1x damage

if you can actually hit either side of its tracks, you do that for a 2x damage multiplier

note it doesn't actually multiply the number by 2, the multiplier only applies to the impact damage

for all of these projectile explosives, there is blast damage + impact damage

blast damage is constant and does not have any angle, imagine just an explosion

impact damage is the damage it cause from the direct impact, the better the angle, the more damage it deals

so the actual equation for the damage from a projectile is

so the 2x and 2.6x is referring to the 3rd variable in that equation

so it is only affecting the impact damage

so for a tiger tank front

what you want to do is to harness the most perpendicular angle possible for the best part to hit

for the front, you can hit the turret, the turret mantlet, the front, or the tracks (which counts as the side)

so of course the tracks are the best, and if you can hit a 80+ angle shot, you get a 2x multiplier shot

on the side, the side panel/tracks are the best area to hit

also if you can get into position for a 80+ degree shot

if you are in the rear, the butt is a no brainer

alternatively, you can just hit whatever part that is not broken to break it

but assault has so much explosives it is a joke

the reason why there are servers like that is probably because it was somewhat stacked the round before, and then when the round ended, the losing team all left

and they don't reshuffle

so everyone just stay at the same team but more people on one team leave and you end up with another unbalanced match
