I just find that given that you're stationary, that extra bit of fire rate means you can pull even with the better ARs, otherwise god help you if someone pushes you within 50 meters.

@unique thunder fortification building is much faster, assault's explosives have a smaller radius, theres an anti air gadget that can do 90 damage to planes in under a second

A Simple Explanation of the type 100

Pros and Cons of the Type 100

+High ROF

+Very low horizontal recoil/spread

+Bipod

-Very poor damage model, lowest DPS and highest BTK (5-9) of all SMGs

The Type 100 is a highly accurate, rapid-fire peashooter that is made user friendly through its damage model and bipod. With a low DPS, high RPM gun, players are penalized less for missing shots than they are with a higher DPS, lower RPM gun. At minimum BTK with 100% hitrate, the Sten and Type 100 both kill in 333 ms. Miss one shot with each gun, and the Sten jumps to 444 ms TTK while the Type 100 is faster at 417 ms. That’s a more forgiving model for players who struggle with target acquisition or tracking, particularly on console where thumbsticks are an imperfect input device for FPS aiming. On top of the minimal recoil and forgiveness for missed shots, the player gets a bipod to situationally help control recoil. It all adds up to a gun that anyone can pick up and be reasonably effective with.

What’s the downside to this ease of use? Raw TTK and rewards for accuracy/recoil control. Despite its high ROF, the Type 100 is a terrible CQC weapon that is shredded by the many higher ROF 4 BTK guns in the game and is more akin in TTK to the SARs of the assault class. The lower DPS and higher BTK damage model also makes hitting headshots less rewarding in terms of reduced TTK. Players who can effectively manage the recoil patterns and burst control of the faster-firing guns in the game are going to get more out of those guns than they would the Type 100. That’s not to say the Type 100 is bad, but it is definitely a lower-potential weapon when it comes to peak performance.

TL;DR: the Type 100 occupies a worthwhile niche for those looking for ease of use.
