1 map per month works if they stuck to their schedules. we'd play al soondone at launch of ze chapter. few weeks later we're in mercury, another few weeks in marita etc. you'd get proper playtime on the maps, able to discuss it online etc whereas with mappacks you're just gonna burn through the content quicker and go: ok, where's the next batch of maps?
last thing we heard about it was that it might possibly be launched with metro at the 4.6 update. but that's not sure
