Fortress is Operation neptune/D-Day the mode

Exactly.. The MMG was great at launch, MG42 shot well at distance, but no magnifying scope so it evened out a bit. There are other ways to fix it without adding so much recoil. It just makes me have to get closer which makes the problem worse not better.

The MG42 doesn't have the same stopping power in it's 7.92MM irl as a .45 ACP does. The only reason the 42 is deadly is it's ROF, which at long range is hard to compete against, but in a CQC area where ROF doesn't matter if you don't have enough power in one shot to knock an enemy down.

You build a stationary by being support, only supports can build stationaries

Really your best bet is to explore the map and find these places yourself

@strange dome speaking of finding areas to build as support

I have a little hobby I do on calm evenings with BFV

I find a 200 ping conquest server with one guy in it

join, and build ALL fortifications on the map

so far I did Rotterdam and Twisted Steel

You'd be surprised, but Rotterdam does not have that many fortifications inbetween objectives

but Twisted steel has A LOT of stuff on some points

like on point D there are 2 AT guns facing brits from the german side, 2 AT guns facing germans on the brit side, and one AT gun facing E point
