well, mgs is set mostly in modern day era, so makes sense there are women soldiers. bioshock is about a civilization underwater were plasmids usage was rampant and civil war destroyed it, also makes sense that splicers are female. bfv takes places in ww2, where there weren't many women on the frontlines. but on the other hand, it's a multiplayer game and i think with the recent customization of most mp games it makes sense to be able to change gender. the war stories are far more believable in how they handle women.
i think we need to go back to having that warning on the box which said something about how multiplayer may or may not effect your experience ;D. since you never know how players might play or what they choose to use as customization ;D
