the selecting plane/tank stuff is incredibly bugged. I sometimes just go plane/tank only and I've seen my plane hijacked so many times when I was about to spawn it. The starting planes are notorious. If you take the time to select your plane there, you'll lose it to those that just spam to get the first plane from the selection list.
