What I’m thinking is that BFBC3 was modern and was being worked on, and then BFV was managed to be released before BFBC3 which is why devs might have not had time to conceptualize the base game. The management of DICE Sweden and EA with politics running the game industry is the reason devs couldn’t make a legit WW2 game the same as BF1.
