you'd be right to think so! I think it was Drunkz that replied to someone asking about the issue and said it was due to the damage not correctly displaying. But now player to player hitreg was introduced from the last update but there has been an issue of dusting on planes since launch and servers not running well which sometimes will have a delay on kills and hitmarkers not displaying at all
