The latter is more precise with slower rof
While the Fg42 with its fast rof is muvh faster at killing but, remaining with 20 rounds, reloading more often is needed and you can more easily fins yourself in situation you have to reload mid-fight

So, MMGs, a favorite of mine. They have great firepower but lots of vulnerability to snipers or flankers, so you should think about your positioning: "Where would there be a spot where I can watch all routes of attack?"

i'm usually best with the MG34 because it's powerful yet accurate and i'd say that i'm quite good at positioning myself so that my enemies can't shoot me but i can shoot them but it often gets boring because of the stationary playstyle and i'd like to learn to be a better cqc offensive player

My advise is to stop care about your stats... go out to the battle and fight... from your deaths you will understand what you are doing wrong... and yiu will getting better... always mive aling with your squad and adjust your playing style based on the choosen class..

if you hit all the RP-3s on a tiger it does about 60 damage and you can just drive past their turret rotation
