either ways I think the idea that having weapons limit the class is a bad idea. If they're doing a modern BF game then every class should by default have an assault rifle and then they each have special weapons they can user

but their abilities are defined by their gadgets

the entire specialist class argument is for games which have a default rifleman class and then have specialist classes like officer and anti-tank

IRL if you're sending someone out to the field then you'd give them a good weapon (but not great) - special weapons are based off their role

PO8 carbine mastery is broken in a good way said to get 15 kills in one life over 10m I got like 10 died and the challenge still carried on after respawn

the last boys assignment was even more bugged than the previous one where tank shells and tank MGs over 100m counted as killing, the last one my ls26 counted for 25 kills in a round

How they add the M1941 Johnson to the game, a rifle made made originally to compete with the M1 Garand, then produced for Dutch colonies, then given to US paratroops and spec ops once the Dutch colonies were taken over by the Japanese. It came in two versions, a semi auto rifle and a lmg. It had cool features like a reciprocating barrel and sideways loading. It was a fine weapon, only being turned down because the US already had a lot of sunk cost in the M1 Garand.

The LMG version was neat in the it held 20 round in the detachable mag, but you could also load the magazine through the gun using stripper clips, which also allowed you to load an additional 5 rounds this way, increasing the could to 25 rounds.
